a macbook pro is running 10.6.8. I will upgrade the computer to 10.7 I lose any functionality compare versions

An instructor wants to run creative cloud. The current operating system 10.6.8 according to Adobe will not work. The same laptop has also installed CS 5. I'm pretty sure if I switch to OS 10.7.x there is work. However I'll lose any functionality with creative cloud using a legacy operating system.

The laptop will support the most recent version, (OS X 11.0) and I can install it at the expense of losing everything that is loaded on the computer now.

What I hear suggestions? I would really like to keep CS5, as they us it in class. But if I go to a version later than OS 10.7 to get the best from creative cloud, then I will go this route.

I don't know which is the best scenario.

10.7 is the minimum for working with cc, but the latest versions of programs need cc of new os, system requirements | Adobe Creative Cloud
