A password with which I did not ask now email without password?

I have a verizon email account which is accessed exclusively through Thunderbird. He NEVER had a password. Today, I try to get my messages in Thunderbird, and it asks me to enter my password. I don't have a password on this email. My husband has an email set up through Thunderbird, verizon address as account. A due to password, we manage some important bills and others with her. I tried the password on my own and nothing. I don't know what the password for mine could even be!

Any help?

All e-mail accounts have passwords. That's how they all work.

You may have told Thunderbird to remember the password and enter for you, but your provider account has a password.

You can go to the Menu bar and select Tools-Options-Security-Passwords-Saved passwords and see what is put in memory. If your menu bar is hidden, press the alt key to make it appear.

Then, go to your web e-mail providers site and try your username and password. It it works, you have another question causes the password error.

If the password does not work you need to work with your provider to reset the password to one that works and you remember.
