a phone to a printer cord is necessary

The necerssry cord from phone to the laser printer all-in-one or is it only necerssary to Fax

Hi @DanMcCarterm,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed your post that you wonder if a telephone cord is necessary for your HP Laserjet Printer. I'm happy to answer that question for you!

The telephone cord is only necessary if you plan to fax with the printer. Otherwise, it is not necessary.

If it helps, please consider clicking on "accept as a solution." And, please click the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Print directly from my smart phone to the printer

Hello, I currently have an e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet 4630. I have had this unit for about eight months, & it is very good.

I have a smart phone that has a pack of internet data, so I can connect to the Internet using the phone. It also means that I can use my phone as a modem for my laptop.

Is there a way I can print directly from my Smartphone HTC M7 to the printer? My phone has bluetooth, but the printer doesn't not (AFAIK), but it has direct wireless, which is very similar.

I ask this question in case I have a Web page open on my phone and I want to print directly to the printer.

    Hello

Your M7 HTC uses Android, as long as your phone and the printer are on an SAME network, you can print using HP ePrint app to print. Please use Google Play/store MySapce for HP ePrint app and install on your HTC M7. Alternatively, you can use ePrint by sending a file format supported on your printer e-mail address (your printer must be connected to the internet).

    Kind regards.

  • Why am I considered the possibility of adding my phone to my printer via bluetooth while he was trying to set up my printer via wifi?

WHY I WANT TO CONNECT MY PHONE (BLUETOOTH) TO MY NETWORK, WIFI PRINTER?

I'M TRYING TO CONNECT MY PRINTER TO MY LAPTOP WIFI AND WHEN I TROUBLESHOOT IT, SHE ALSO ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO ADD ONE ANY BLUETOOTH DEVICE.  WHY WOULD I WANT TO ADD MY PHONE TO MY PRINTER?

Its generalization, the meaning if there are other devices on your network, you want to add to your network.

There are two main types of network printers: Wi - Fi and wireless.

    • Printer cable equipped with an Ethernet port to which you connect to your router or hub via an Ethernet cable.

    • Wireless printers normally connect to your home network using a Wi - Fi or Bluetooth technology connection.

Some printers offer both options. The instructions provided with your device should tell you exactly how to install it.

To install a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer connection

    1. Click to open devices and printers.

    2. Click Add a printer.

    3. In the Add Printer Wizard, click Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

    4. In the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next.

    5. If prompted, install the printer driver on your computer by clicking on install driver. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    6. Perform the steps in the wizard and then click Finish.

      Tips

      • Make sure that you are allowed to use these printers before adding them to the computer.

      • You can confirm that the printer is working by printing a test page. For more information, see print a test page.

You must configure your firewall correctly.

What exactly is the error message?  Make sure that it does not ask your network SSID password?

  • We will look for answers why my printer prints more than necessary?

See my printer to print a test page after each time I use it.

There are several reasons why you may receive an additional page.  It would be useful that you described what you see on the 'test' page, you see.

This will only occur when you print from Microsoft Word or is it when you print from other applications (for example, Notepad).  If so, then go to tools > Options, click the print tab, and under "Include document" uncheck "properties of the Document.

If this happens to any application that you print from, open Printers and faxes, right-click on your printer icon, then select the Advanced tab.  Click on the 'séparation Page' button and make sure that there is no entry for a separator page.  When it exists, delete it and OK your way out.

If none of the above work:

    • What version of Windows you have, including the service pack (click right my computer and select Properties, if you do not know)
    • When the problem happens (all applications or only applications)
    • What is the make and model of the printer
    • What's on the page 'test '.
    • How long it lasts (i.e., what happened just before the problem)
  • Photosmart HP 7520: photo printing from the phone to the printer using eprint

    Hello

    Are you happy now?

    Have a good weekend.

  • Not able to print from the phone to printer

My husband & I had the new iphone4s Apple. We also got a new printer Officejet 4622 around the same time. We have everything synced up to w / our PCs, iphones (2), & printer. It was great! As a first step, we could really print Photos, Documents, Etc. directly from anywhere from our phones on our printer sitting at home! But then we did not have our fax plugged in right (we were not able to send or receive a fax at all) so we "thought" was only what was necessary to connect to our fax to power send & receive a fax.

Now as I said our Phones (2) DO NOT even give us the opportunity to send it to our printer at home more! Help, please!
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Stacy,

I'm sorry to hear that you cannot print from phone to a printer.

    (1) you are trying to print wireless?

    (2) what happens when you try to print?

    (3) you receive an error message/code?

  • Improved connected IPad Windows10 private WiFi network w/AirPrint printer. Bluetooth is disabled. Try to print an e-mail, the IPad can't see printer. Android phone works wirelessly with the printer.

IPad on the same wireless network private Wi ' Fi as computer windows 10, Android phone and Samsung printer airprint. Blue tooth is disabled. Can I wireless print with Android mobile phone, but not with the IPad... suggestions.

Have you tried to reboot your router? Unplug it, count to 10, plug back in and let it boot and see if she sees the printer now. You might also want to disconnect/reconnect your printer, leave everything to make a new connection.

You can also force your iPad to restart. Hold down the button sleep and home for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver Apple, let go and let it restart.

  • HP Deskjet 460: How to print PDF documents with your Android by BlueTooth cell phone.

Hi, I have a question because I can't find a way to print a document (PDF) in the HP Deskjet 460 printer.

What I want to do? Print PDFs by BlueTooth with Acrobat Reader App.

What should I do? Open the PDF in Acrobat Reader App for Android documents and this app let me share the PDF by BlueTooth. I choose this option and displays a list with all devices BlueTooth can be found. The printer I have is in the list, the phone recognizes the printer. I select the printer and then in the screen displays a message "send...". "and then to appear another message"this document not sent". And no more. No prompt. Nothing.

What I am doing wrong? I don't know how to do this. Can someone help me or give me some instructions? Thank you.

Tranks for answer. I read the instructions for printer also, but I can find a way to do it. In fact, I find a way to print via bluetooth. The way I have found is by a third application: PrinterShare for Android.

    https://play.Google.com/store/apps/details?ID=com.dynamixsoftware.PrinterShare & hl =

I know it must be simple: just recognize the printer through the bluetooth of the phone and send the document (I wrote the default key - 0000 - to establish a connection) and the printer should print. But PrinterShare was the only way to send it.
