A power of 1000w Dell Precision 690 United States will work in the British system

I want to order a replacement power and found a Dell Precision 690 1000W ND285 power in the United States, I know that this system works this power but wanted to know if I ordered it from the United States to be shipped to the United Kingdom (England) it will work here or is there a voltage difference that will blow/effect it?

The reason why I ask this is that I repair my friends Precision 690 power because it starts not as it should be because it has the dreaded 1-3 and power button flashing continuously orange. I usually get it going again for him leaving on the supply cable of the day after / for a few hours, but the problem comes back finally after some closures, so not a solution.

His system has 32 GB of RAM, a processor my171 mother board 2 Xeon QuadCore 5355, a Nvidia Quadro 4800 graphics card and 4 SATA drives and 2 DVD r/w drives all sitting in the appropriate ports.  I tested it on and all the way to no disk no ram, but even in this case the problem may occur intermittently.  I don't know that his power relatively maybe even a little somewhere? but I've looked and looked and left with the feeling that his power.

but the only one I can find that is affordable is to the United States, the price they want to pay in Germany, I could buy a car for.

American food will work in my UK machine?

Thank you.

Hugh

  • Dell Precision 690 workstation several hard drives

I have a Dell Precision 690 and I am trying to connect the hard drives in the right order. The documentation says they must go into the HARD drive marked locations on the motherboard, but they do not work. The only slots that work are the SATA slots. I tested five SATA drives but I can only get three to work on three SATA slots instead of four locations of HARD drive and slot extra SATA as the book said to do.

I tried which helps the controller under the BIOS: has no significance if it is enabled or disabled. I determined that AHCI is unable to be activated, it must be ATA.

In the end, I need to have five total drives. Four in the slots in the HARD drive and the other in the SATA slot. (Which will be for operating system 1 SATA and SAS RAID 4). I realize that the HDD_0, 1, 2, 3 locations are to use SAS/SATA but I can't take too much work.

In addition, I don't ' know if this is important or not, but he has Windows XP Professional x 64. BIOS A05 and I know an update is A08, I did do that yet though.

Anywhere I can find that material assistance would be much appreciated.

    -E.Avalon (help).

Yes, there are three ports labeled SATA (0,1,2) and four ports labeled as HARD drive (0,1,2,3). The manual says to connect hard drives in HARD drive ports, then in the SATA ports. The first two SATA ports are for additional optical drives and the last port is used for a fifth hard drive.

I got in touch with several people in technical assistance from Dell and eventually find the right driver to install.

Because I don't have the OEM disc that came with the computer, I was doing a new installation of a Windows disc. I needed F6 (third party drivers) to activate the HARD disk ports until the installation has taken place. (And honestly I don't remember what the file was immediately.)

The AHCI could not be activated because the discs I have are Serial ATA disks and in the BIOS, there is a choice between ATA and AHCI.

The problem is solved and I feel like I could do a test on this computer and become a technician for her.

  • AirPort Extreme and airport express bought in Europe will work in the United States?

AirPort Extreme and airport express bought in Europe will work in the United States?

Airports will work on 100-240 Volts and 50/60 Hz, so they'll work wise power, about anywhere in the world, assuming that you have a power adapter to change the European plug to a US plug.  A voltage converter is not necessary.

European wireless operated from 1-13 and the United States channels 1-11, so you will need to make sure that you use 1-11 If you want other users to be able to connect to the wireless signal.

  • My site works in the United States but not in the Canada (I know sounds crazy)

I have a client in the Canada who is having a few problems of very annoying site. The problem is when I test the site here in the United States, it works fine. I clear my caches and test the site on Chrome/Safari/Firefox and it works fine. I have my client the same thing, but they still run questions.

    They say the site:

    (1) takes more than 20 seconds to load, it takes only 8 seconds here in the United States.

    (2) they tell me that when they try and share a link on directly linked from the blog, they get a 404 error.

    (3) they say that the site does not work on the iPhone 5.

Yet once, all these things have been tested here in the USA and I'm not able to replicate questions. What in the world could possibly happen?

Well, you use widgets 'localized' like the one for the card that, depending on the regions and the Internet, location of the provider may give different reslts, possibly including break completely, then the carrier of the supplier registration point to a different location than the one you are actually. The rest could be simply regional caching problems with TypeKit and your images and videos, but even on my fast fiber your page access charge with delay due to a large images used. The 404 would probably also fall into this category - you are being invited to a different resource at the regional level rather than one you do reference on the page. Loading times are also confirmed by your own comments - another 8 seconds is something that I would find much too long on what should be a simple thing. You need to spend time optimizing everything and check when cross-border is the features that you use, somehow...

On the bottom of the page of Adobe, you will see an option to change the region, make sure that you have the United States he and on the purchase page to change your currency to the U.S. dollar as well.

  • The power supply for Dell Precision Workstation upgrade

Recently, I posted a question regarding the upgrade of that food to a XPS 8700 and it seems that I can use ATX power supplies and replace as necessary to these computers. But now I am also thinking of dell precision workstations, because I want to have a few relatively high-performance computing done on my system, what it seems as a workstation would be better, as the work of Dell Precision T1700 Mini Tower. But I can't understand anything on the question of whether I can pass the integrated power supply so that it exceed 700w. Thus,.

    (1) any reflection on the power supply upgrade, whether possible?

    (2) are there jobs integrated with a high (greater than 700watts) power?

    (3) in the future, if I wanted to know if I could make these upgrades to other Dell machines, where can I find out about this?

    Hi Daniel191919,

Yes, most power supplies from Dell can be improved with standard parts. But honestly, the easiest would be to get a precise work with the PSU W 1100 high range.

I put processors Dual quad X 5300 inside?

    Yes: http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/precn/en/spec_precn_690_en.pdf

What are the chances of getting work Windows 2008? What are the chances of getting work Windows 2012?

Good, but this is not guaranteed. It takes the server processors does not mean that it will support server operating systems. The details have never wanted to be servers - workstations. There is a good chance that you can load a server operating system and have it work perfectly, but there is also a chance that some of the equipment is the only quality work station and don't have drivers that will work correctly.

Will be one of the Socket 771 X53XX Xeons in there?

-What? Adapt? Work? 771 all fit, but not all of the 5300 X may work. See the data sheet above. 5300 X are supported, but not necessarily all of them. The data sheet says "up to" 1300 MHz and 2x4MB / 8MB, which means that if all processors X 5300 exceed these specifications, they may not work (unless the support has been added specifically through the BIOS update).

  • HP Pavilion 27xi US power adapter will work in the United Kingdom?

Hi, I am trying to import the HP Pavilion 27xi to the United Kingdom that HP won't seem to be released in Europe and I love the look of this montor, I must have it. My question is will be connected the adapter that comes with the work of the American model in the United Kingdom with a UK power cable or do I need some sort of votage converter.

    Cheers.

    raven77,

    These external power supplies used with laptop computers, monitors, televisions, computers AIO, etc. generally have a range of voltage of 100v - 240v alternating current. Just her remember, I went and looked up the specs of the HP Pavilion 27xi 27 inch diagonal IPS LED backlit screen. This page has not had the information I was looking for, so I enterd the HP p/n in HP PartSurfer's who stated that the following HP products also use same power supply external;

2511 x 25 inches diagonal screen ACL from HP
    HP 2711 x 27-inch diagonal LCD monitor
    HP 25BW MONITOR
HP PAVILION 25xi 25 inch IPS MTR WE
HP PAVILION 27XI 27 INCH IPS MNT WE
HP Pavilion 27bw 27 inch IPS MNT WE

    I then looked at the specs for the HP 2711 x 27-inch diagonal LED display who, according to the HP PartSurfer, uses the same power supply as the HP 27xi and found the following;

    -AC/DC adapter rated input power source: 100 to 240 v ~

    Frequency: 50 ~ 60 Hz

Power consumption: 40 Watts max power consumption (30 Watts typical energy consumption).<1 watt="" energy="" saving="">

On this basis the external power supply for HP 27xi should accept 100-240v, 50-60 Hz input and function as expected. You should only need a compatible power cable to connect the power supply to the sector.

  • My UK Touchsmart 300 will work in the United States?

I bought my Touchsmart 300 at the United Kingdom 2 years ago.  Now, I'm moving back to the United States and bring it with me.   I have an adapter for it and if so, what kind?

    Ed,

Yes, I meant the laptop as power supply. However, since it has an internal power supply, please provide the full name of the HP model and/or the name of the product to the computer in question. I'm trying to determine if the power supply is auto-allant 100 to 240 volts as laptop power supplies are.

    Information of a product number: VG255AA / name of the model: HP TOUCHSMART 300-1025UK indicates that the internal power supply looks like;

    http://allpcpower.com/images/products/detail/517133001FULL.jpg

    http://allpcpower.com/images/products/detail/517133001DETAILLABEL.jpg

This picture shows clearly... of 100-240 v, while the first image does not display a red switch. This should indicate that the power is automatic. Now, if your computer uses the same power supply... you can be good to go, just using a computer 110V US cable.

  • Dell Inspiron 17R 5720 does not work with the charger. Charger is not recognized. No problem with charger.

My Dell Inspiron 17R 5720 does not recognize charger. And unfortunately my warranty expired 2 months ago.
It was plugged and work in the morning, but then in the afternoon I noticed he was running on battery only. It does not start without battery (charger just plugged).

1 this is what I did to debug. Me and my brother, we bought the same computers Dell laptops at the same time a year and a bit ago. That's why a debugging purposes, it was good.
I took my charger and plugged into his computer. And it works. Certainly not the charger problem I guess. And when I plug the charger my computer, green light is still on the charger. And I have the original charger provided with the laptop.

    2. now, laptop is running on battery only, so that means that this motherboard works. I think so.

    3. the next thing I did was charger disconnected and removed the battery from the laptop. Then I pushed and hold the "Power" button for 45 seconds to pay a royalty to the flea market. Charger plugged in but laptop will not start.

    4. then I booted the laptop on battery, went to the BIOS and check if the charger is recognized in the BIOS. No, it does not recognize charger. So, if this isn't a charger so what else can we?

5 laptop has no strange smells so I don't know if something happened with the motherboard, but I guess that motherboard is ok because it works battery.

    6. I was thinking of updating the BIOS, but I can't do it, because it will be not be updated then the laptop runs on the battery, it needs to be plugged.

Now I'm stuck. I don't know what I can do. I'm willing to spend a little more money on it to try to fix.

If someone had such a problem in the past please let me know what you have done and if it fixed it.
Or if anyone has any other ideas, I will be happy and appreciated the help.

Hello and sorry for this late post. Just had this problem... If there is nothing wrong with the AC adapter, it's a software problem.

Close the laptop... Unplug the AC adapter / CC... Remove the battery... Plug the power adapter... Start the laptop... Go to the control panel... Find and select the Device Manager... Batteries, left click... Uninstall Microsoft AC Adapter, uninstall Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method... In fact, uninstall all you can under the batteries, but that should be all there is. It will be re - install when starting... Stop cell phone... Remove the AC adapter / CC... Replace the battery... Plug the power adapter... Start the laptop... Now, everything should be good.

    Hello bigbigdan1000,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand your message you will buy an iPhone Unlocked 7 while in the United States and want to know if there is work, when you return to the United Kingdom. You will need to buy the T-Mobile or AT & T version of the iPhone in the United States, a GSM model, so he could work in the United Kingdom. Additionally, make sure that you buy the version without SIM card, you are free to use a SIM card from any carrier that provides service for iPhone.
