A question for Steve and thanks!

First of all, thanks to Steve for this great comparison to hearing other applications http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/511864?TSTART=0

I'm new to computer recording (semi experimented with other types) and looking for a program as a result of my needs, review of Steve led me to try hearing with a friend recently and wow, what amazing one audio editor!

I have some questions about the editing of audio capabilities Auditions, it is superb and more intuitive program out there.

Only, I have a few questions about the Auditions multi-track editing capability, or rather, the ease of use (interface) because it's something we could need more experience to be able to assess.

My question is about his ability to make 'easy' and intuitive multi-track on a SMALL number of tracks, all THE AUDIO, song and audio files as virtual synth samples, loops, a shots etc...

If for example the publishing Arrangement of say 6 to 12 channels, which is what I use in general.

Are things like: Moving song autour, moving loops, stretching/change and reorganization of the different segments of the song easy to do?

What is the actual record, like that of putting in place to make punch, many taken, is such included or better yet intuitive things like other programs of the multitrack recording?... I don't get in a lot of plugins and midi, very little or not at all.

I'm tired so I'm going to cut short my questions, there was one more I forgot, I'll come over later to make sure that I have tyepd everything correctly, tahnks for all help!

Well, take in order... to move the song is relatively easy - like any other thing, really moves. Loops of move in the same way, essentially. You can group clips and move the groups in the same way as the individual clips. In addition, you can lock the groups and the individual clips, and which tends to reduce the errors (that are easy to do with any software!)

When it comes to real record, make simple tracks is easy - set up their bonus and off you go. Do dropins works very well in what concerns the record, and it's pretty easy to set up as well, but Adobe, being believers in the welfare State, make it very difficult to throw unwanted or unused takes - this has annoyed a user where he wrote an app to work around, you can find here. As an organizational tool, mediasweeeper has been developed with the feedback from users, so there is a good chance he will do exactly what it says on the box. If I was regularly stops, I would like to use, it's course.

What's the intuitive multitrack Editor? I would say yes, it is. It is ideal for the production of music? No, it's not (for reasons already mentioned). One of his great strengths (in AA3.0) as far as I am concerned is just inaudible fades chained with a perfect match between can be obtained very easily - for me, as an editor of classical music, the ability to do that is of fundamental importance. Weaknesses generally appear more when you massively clips or tracks in a session - it may become, to say the least, slow in some of its operations compared to other music software. But the audio quality remains excellent, and sometimes I am not convinced that the other software - manage ProTools, for example, is known to have a less powerful mix engine (this is why there are continuous sales of passive mixers for her - individual track mix outputs using one of these sounds much cleaner).

However, I would say that if you have about 6 tracks mainly music acoustics or loops, then hearing would be a very good tool to use, because at this level of loading is wrong your system to cane too. It is also interesting to note, with regard to the system use, that you can lock the securities you have applied processing, which reduces the continuous load reading and help generally things going. Blocking can also be cancelled if you want to change anything on a track - nothing is set in stone until you do a mix.

Is there any other software that would achieve the same things just as easily and relatively cheaply? Well, I think that Reaper it would manage, but personally I think that Reaper is a bit geeky (what with all these ridiculous range operations, etc.), and in addition it is nowhere close to the Publisher hearing. Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with Reaper in front of visitors, but I will quite happily use hearing when they are present.
