a wifi connection time-out

I have a Compaq 8510w running Windows XP. He has trouble establishing a connection wifi to my router. I get a message that it has limited connectivity because the network has not assigned an address. I have run the routine repair several times without success. However, if I simply leave it for 10 minutes, XP manages finally to make the connection.

I already had another Compaq 8510w presenting the same symptoms. I have a dozen of the devices that use the router: none of them have no problem with the wifi connection.

Any ideas how to avoid the delay in establishing the connections please? TIA... Greg

You could try to update your wireless drivers and pass Windows Zero Configuration (WZC) to IntelProset configuration. The Proset software can take advantage of the features built into your wireless chipset and it works better. HP has a very good website of the Compaq and HP computer drivers update. Just go to
http://www.HP.com
and follow the links to drivers and support. Enter your computer and operating system model number and it will take you to a list of the most recent drivers for your computer. In the section 'Drivers-Network', the latest driver for the Intel Pro Wireless is dated April 10, 2009. After downloading/installing this driver, see the "Software - Solutions" section at the bottom of the page and download "Intel Proset Software. as of December 3, 2010. That spend you WZC configuration of Intel and give you a chance to better performance.

  • WiFi connection failures out of the box

Brand new, with mobile box. Win10 Setup finished, attached to the router wifi checked and connection, tried to launch the browser. Brief success, but then stopped responding. Ran network troubleshooting, and he noted "one or more network protocols are missing." And "The registry entries Windows Sockets required for network connectivity are missing". "Not fixed".

    Tried:

    (1) restart - no resolution

    (2) plug the cable ethernet - access to the network seemed stable through the Ethernet connection, but failed again when Ethernet was deleted.

    (3) not to reset the PC (restoration of Windows, lose my an application that I could get installed via Ethernet) - still no stable WiFi connectivity.

    (4) for the Ethernet connection, I was able to download and install Firefox (to ensure that the issue was not with the browser). But could not install Chrome ("unknown error").

Anyone else had this experience? My gut says to push for a clean Windows Reinstall - if data recovery using "reset" is also corrupt, and simple things like the installation of Chrome don't work, what else might be broken under the hood? Of course, it may be a problem with Chrome, but as something as basic as the WiFi does not work, I am very suspicious of my installation.

Liquidation of movement to the driver 18.40 directly from Intel, and that did the trick. Thanks for your help!

  • Satellite A100 - Wi - Fi connection times out

    Hello!

Whenever I connect to the internet via my modem WiFi (Gateway 2701HGV-W) at home, the connection will end after 3-7 minutes and wireless turns off automatically.

Wireless stoped working so I decided to re - install Windows XP Pro to see if that would fix it upward, it did it not. I sent BigPond thinking it was a problem with the modem but it's not that I can easly connect to Internet via wifi with the iPhone. So I'm guessing its a hardware problem or a problem of setting.

I also tried to connect wireless to my sisteres modem and computer connect directly to the Internet (and she has the same modem and configure it as I have)

I uninstalled connections wireless network connection and added it but still the same problem.

    My specs are:

Toshiba Satellite A100 PSAA9A (with built in Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.)
Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3
I already have a totally clean antivirus and antispyware, scan.
I've already updated my drivers to the latest version.

I saw the problem that is mentioned in other forums, I already googled and I tried all the solutions given on google without success. I'm desperate for help, please help me

Thank you in advance, I really need help

  • Error in firmware PSC 2020 & Max connection time-out error

    Hello!

My PCP 202O status LED will blink twice - which indicates that there is an error in the firmware (according to the user manual). I have already installed the latest firmware downloaded from the Web site of NOR and it says that I'm supposed to update the operating system of the remote system in MAX. When you try to update the system BIOS, it happens.

Version on the target distance: 10.1

Available on the host version: 10.4

I'm a little confused as to which is the remote target and that is the system that hosts? He also says that the previously installed software will be removed if editing continues and it could damage the material so started or off so I'm a bit skeptical to proceed manually.

I have error alsoreceiving messages in maximum errors in MAX are 'connected - no software installed' and connection to a remote device has expired. I wonder if this error occurs due to the firmware issue, or is it because of the timeout settings? What is the best? A period more or less?

I'm new with this. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

The target is your compact Fieldpoint. The host is your PC that you are. Given that the PC has a newer version, you will want to have the software downloaded to the CFP by MAX. Of course, there is a small chance that you could lose power to the PCP if your luck is bad and that the power is off in the middle of the upgrade. It would be better to have your diet for the CFP running off a battery backup UPS for safety.

I'm guessing that the error is due to your firmware issue.

If you are really unsure on how to proceed, it may be best if you contact DIRECTLY, they can help guide you through the update process.

  • FTP connection times out on Windows Server 2003 when you run Windows Firewall

This seems to come up recently, perhaps with a recent Windows automatic update.

I have FTP server running on Windows Server 2003 R2.

The NIC has the firewall Windows is activated, which allows port 21 (FTP) through.

When you use an FTP client from a workstation, the FTP client expires when you navigate to a folder with many files, say the folder/images of a website with 10 + MB in total (which isn't really that much). Navigate to other folders with smaller files seems fine.

Now, when I turn off the firewall of the server, then I can use a FTP client on a workstation to access any FTP folder regardless of the number of files or the size of files and everything is fast fast.

This brings me to the conclusion that the problem lies in the Windows Server 2003 firewall, and we must have this option disabled for FTP clients do not expire.

  • Server responds only in time, FTP is not supported on this server [connection timed out after 15001 millseconds]

    Hello

I repeatedly get the message "the server responding is not in time, FTP is not supported on this server [Connection timed] out after 15001 millseconds" when you try to download via the built in Adobe Muse FTP uploader. I've been in contact with my host who is hostbaby, and they said my ip address was blocked but when they unlock it is the same thing. I tried to change the automatic method and also to change the passive mode, but not joy.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Have you checked with any FTP client to access your server host separately just to confirm if they are blocking access?

You can try any as Filezilla FTP client to confirm access to the server with the same identifiers.

    Thank you
