  I bought this MacBook on the Apple store online a year ago, and I must say it has been a very reliable machine up to now. It starts way faster that any laptop I have ever used before.

  However, recently to update my OS on the 10.11.4 version, my screen freezes randomly. The keyboard and trackpad are both unresponsive.  Closing the cover does nothing either, since the macbook won't sleep normally as it would be. The only solution I had was to hold down the power button to force it to close.  This has been extremely frustrating and made me lose valuable data too.  I ran the Diagnostics of Apple and the only error seems to be the battery issue. It has been said, however, that it should not affect the performance of the computer.

  Hey, I bought the same macbook 6 months ago, the macbook had several recurring problems, graphic and audio glitches, what happened was, sometimes (for watching movies, or playing games) the screen went black with a red line on the left side of the screen, then after 2-3 seconds screen is returned to normal, and then there was a glitch-audio distortion that attaches after 10 seconds - 1 min.

  If you are still under warranty, go directly to the apple store and request a fix, when I say request, do not be polite, don't bite on phrases like "we will do everything, so you won't have to come back again," go aggressive mode, because at least in my case, be polite did not help, the best thing would be, when it freezes again not turn off it take it straight to the apple store.

  My situation is this: I got a new Dell XPS 15 9550 two weeks ago. It was working fine until last night when suddenly the screen went black. I was just using Facebook. The computer was still but does not. He would not press the power button. So I held the power button for 5 seconds, rebooted and he always used and it would never happen again.   So I ran MemTest86, no memory problem. I ran the Diagnostics Dell Diagnostics (extensive testing) score. Fell asleep. Returned 4 hours later and Diagnostics says no past everything, no errors. The strange thing is that after 4 hours there still react, just waiting for me to click OK. Do not freeze. So I restarted the laptop, tried to install Ubuntu and even once, freezes after a few seconds.

  So I really don't know what could be the problem. If it freezes on different OS, it must be a hardware problem? But diagnostics memtest86 and dell said material is OK. Not only that, but when running the diagnostics, it did not freeze for hours.

I freeze random OS experience (I'm under OS X El Capitan 10.11.4): the cursor moves and the keyboard is unresponsive, so I can't do anything at all. The only thing I can do to "unlock", it requires the laptop to restart (by turning manually him off and then back on).   I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro R850-15F who gave me four years in refurbished condition and so it is quite old.
  I have recently installed Windows 10 and things seemed to work very well.

  However, last week, I noticed that at least once a day my laptop freezes randomly and immediately the internal fan accelerates, becomes much stronger and a cold air. Whenever this happens, I turned off the laptop and turn it back on it.

  After that, it works normally again until the next time it freezes. I don't know anything about computer hardware, but I suspect that it is a problem of series and I wanted to get some advice in case my laptop is close to dying.
