AAFC!

Following the update of my Sansa Clip +, I noticed that he was accepting and reading of AAC (.m4a) files. This applies to files stolen from a CD in iTunes and the files purchased on iTunes.

I have found no mention of this anywhere on the web. It was supposed to? Whether it is or not, it works...

No, the files are correctly named. But the 'miracle' has nothing to do with the Clip +. The credit belongs to Winamp.

When you use Winamp to load files on the Clip +, it converts them to MP3. I was too excited to watch the files on the device itself. They find themselves with the extension "MP3".

I'm doing a ringtone and for each tutorial it says that I have to convert the AAC song. At first I couldn't find in my menu bar. I looked at my import settings and they are exactly this that further discussions and the sites Internet says they should be (with import: AAC encoder). But I can't find it yet. What can I do to fix this?

The option convert is now on the drop-down file menu (it is no longer available via a control-click track). If you have some AAFC selected in the import settings in the general tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) then select/highlight the track you want to convert and then use file > convert > create AAC Version:

  • 12.4.0.119 option no. AAFC

I did the update today at 12.4.0.119 and I don't have an option to convert mp3 to AAC files.  I do that, then I can transfer audio books I have in mp3 format and sync to my iPhone ibooks.  I convert it to AAC, m4b file rename and then synchronize.  I already checked and I encoder AAFC enabled in the import preferences section.

It's frustrating because I'm going on vacation tomorrow and I have several books I want to sync with ibooks.

    Someone has an idea?

    Thank you.

It seems that this has been removed from the context menu in iTunes 12.4.  However, the function is still there under file > create new Version...

  • Broken video Import - AAFC titles appears

I use the new Premiere Pro, and when I import mp4 files that I previously exported from the old version, there is no audio track. I imported these exact same files in the previous version in the past and they worked very well, just the new version does not see the audio track. Here are the finalized video files, not files in project. The videos play fine in VLC and other video players.  I tried also simply export the current version mp4 video, and it doesn't matter either of the audio track.  This happens for videos with audio AAC or mpeg.

Also, I have to say that this is not just that the audio does not appear in the timeline, there as if the first does not see the track at all, even if by looking at the metadata and view the video clip.

Is this a bug or is there a solution?

  • Rendering files MP4 Media Encoder with remnants of AAFC and M4V files

    Hey all,.

Just a quick question. My computer media encoder has begun to make mp4 files and leaving the m4v and aac files it there once the rendering is complete. Mp4 is fine, but it's a bit boring and messy is not delete files after. Anyone who is familiar with this problem?

    Thank you

There seems to be a bug with export to a network drive.  SOUL will be mux the mp4 movie, but it won't get rid of the pre-multiplex m4v video and files aac audio.  I know that this is not a Finder update, because they are visible from the Windows Server OS, as well.  If I try to manually delete the orphaned files, an alert says that they are still in use. I can only remove them if I stop SOUL... I don't know why SOUL keeps his hooks in the orphans, even after the file is multiplexed, but I'm sure it's happening; and it could happen for several reasons.

  • Import AAFC cannot lay first CS4

    Hello!

As the title says, I'm not able to import AAC files in my first Pro projects.  The funny thing is that these files have been created in first Pro CS4, so what gives?  I took the audio from a video and export ONLY the audio in AAC format.  But when I want to import these files into a project, it gives me a message file not supported.  What I am doing wrong?

    Jose,

Dang, I thought that SB was part of the 'package '. OK, go get the freeware audio editior, AUDACITY. It should import/export your file as a test, fine.

    Good luck

  • iTunes Ripping from CD to NAS

Hi there, apologies as I'm sure this has been answered in some form several times but I can't find too specific a question (s). I have a MacBook (OSX) and a DLINK NAS talk to one another. I would like to ship ripping my CD collection, so I have digital versions available, allowing me to use a number of services (iTunes, Sonos etc.), with files on the NAS itself.

What setting should I before I start?

    1. Change iTunes to MP3 format extraction
    2. ITunes library update location on NAS where ripped files will be made available
    3. Configure iTunes to watch the entire where my audio files will be, or create a separate folder "library only" and somehow configure if it has a few shortcuts to real files?
    4. Anything else?

In short, I want to make sure I'll keep that a copy of the file to save space as well assume that I need to extract the files directly on the NAS. Then iTunes media library should just look at these files, so there is no drop iTunes and double files?

I have probably explains this very badly indeed but eager to make sure that I'm going on the right foot and make a beautiful torn library located on my NAS, but just once!

    Thanks in advance!

Everyone likes the idea of SIN, Sonos, etc., but in reality, iTunes and NAS don't like each other and can cause unexpected problems. Not always, but when it happens, you'll be one very unhappy announcement back here.

The format to which tear you depends on the size of the file to which you are ripping applications are you your other devices and to a certain extent.  For speeds of 128 k or less get you better quality of AAFC.

If you continue to use the SIN, you can move the entire library to it.  Copy the entire folder iTunes from iTunes to the NAS, then launch iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and select the iTunes Library.itl file in the folder on the NAS.  The NAS will have to be awake and active before launching iTunes or iTunes will forget the location and you will need to reset it.

From this moment the only things stored on your computer will be the backups of the iPhone and some files in iTunes preferences.

Make sure that you keep backups of the library on the NAS.  We can one day you'll start things and discover all your track lists point to very different files and you will LOVE your backup at this stage because dealing with by other means will require 30 positions.

  • Where go convert to AAC in iTunes 12.5 x

My options are correct in preferences, and yet I can't right click on a song and get the option "convert to AAC".

In addition, it seems the options (right click on a song) are somewhat different.

Do you have Apple has removed this feature? I am trying to create ringtones and not sure how to proceed now.

It's now done via the dropdown menu file, select/highlight the track (s) that you want to convert, then (assuming that have AAFC selected in the import settings in the preferences):

  • Cannot drag AAC ringtones to the iPhone 6

So there's iTunes decided to swap my record library iTunes for something that he created, so I lost most of my music (later everything came with the boring exclamation point next to it, feel stupid iTunes cannot locate the files - redirect tried it back but that did not work). SO, since I am free three hours today (little I didn't know it would take approximately eight hours), I went ahead and resynced to create a new library.

Lost most of the music on my iPhone but I can re-import ALL my CDs later, I guess. What I have in my phone REALLY are custom ringtones. I currently have around thirty of them as *.mp3s and am familiar with the creation of versions AAFC using iTunes - BUT now every time I have create AAC version and try to drag a lining to my camera, box appears around the entire device on the left side window, shakes and shimmies for one second and will not let me transfer the ringtone.

The phone held all these rings before this last re-sync, so I know it's possible. Does anyone know why I can't drag these now?

Thanks for any help. Sorry to say, but I hate iTunes...

    Tom

    Hey Mr. Tom Foolery.

Sorry about your headache with the music. I took to the look and think this may help you with AAC files is transformed into ringtones iTunes and your phone can recognize. Let me know if it helps.

  • No MP3 Converter in 12.4.2.4?

Why Apple to take the MP3 Converter in this version? I know compress this MP3 and AAC files take up much more space. This is an ideal feature for people who are trying to compress for non-professional use or to save space. What is the advantage to delete!

    It's still there.

    SAME AS BEFORE:

12 iTunes for Mac: save a copy of a song in a new file format: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19509 - make sure that you are not using the full screen: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6777547 .

AAFC takes no more space. It depends on your compression settings and don't confuse not configurable, lossy AAC compressed with the Apple Lossless (ALAC).

What is the advantage to delete!

In this case they do not have to remove it, but it could have been removed.  Sometimes they remove just things people love, just to be different.  No advantage really.  They apparently was deleted recently video conversion in iTunes. They do not explain the reasons for mere mortals and we just think it's a mixture of some type of marketing thinking combined with a hyperactive ADD to play with things.

  • iTunes (ver.12.4.1.6) MP3 to AAC files.

I can't find the option to convert MP3 files to AAC files after that I got the new update for iTunes (ver.12.4.1.6). Where at - it go?

Now is possible to conversion when I transfer the file to my iPhone/iPod/iPad.

This is a great tool and it helped to save space in my hard drive.

If you have the AAFC, defined as the "type of import" on the import button settings on the tab General Preferences in iTunes > Preferences, then you should be able to select and convert the songs in AAC format via the drop down file menu:

  • iPod classic 160g do not sync with itunes 12.4

Since download itunes 12.4, it erased all my songs on my ipod classic. I tried to Resync it, and if I 905 songs on the classic, it is nowhere near the amount of my total (12 000 + songs). whenever I try to sync again, it always gets stuck on a song, showing a ' attempt to copy to the disk (insert the name ipod) and failed. " the disc is not available"and"A so and so cannot be copied because of an unknown error (-59)".

in the menu options on the Summary tab, I have only these things checked:

Open itunes when ipod is connected - verified

Sync only checked songs and videos-disabled

convert higher bit rate songs to... AAFC-disabled

    manually manage music and videos-disabled

    Enable disk use-verified

I'm not a technical person so have no idea what deal with these other options. What happens here? IM real frustrated because this is the first time that I've never experienced this. I have reset my ipod rebooted my laptop, restored my ipod and tried to fix the itunes, all to nothing does not

See corrupted iPod Classic. What are the stats from HARD drive? Check the source drive to find errors. Will track it gets stuck on play in iTunes?
