Abused any PSD file

I have a PSD file which, on importation of Illustrator is manhandled.
Screenshot_2.png

As stated above, the white block of the rectangle doesn't do not part of the original design. Similarly, many borders of the rectangle are also missing.
What could be the reason and how to fix it?

It looks like he has extreme zoom (16%). The lines do appear when you zoom in?

What about the white box: check the layer belnding modes in Photoshop. They could get lost or converted incorrectly when importing.

  • PSD files are get desaturated when I output a JPEG copy?

    Hey all,.

I'm having a strange problem. By way of background, I just upgraded to a whole new MacBook so I had to reinstall and configure my entire suite creative on the new system. It's the latest version. I don't know if there is a strange definition miss me, but I use Photoshop for years and never had the following problem (even on my old MacBook, which was running as well creative cloud).

I'm editing photos for a client. I always keep a work-in-progress Photoshop file saved in case I need to return to my layers to settle something. While I'm working on the photo my PSD file looks quite normal. Even if I save it, close and then reopen, it seems. So far so good. When I finished editing I save it one last time to the PSD format, then I flatten it, convert it to sRGB, save a JPEG copy and then close the file. BUT... after that, when I reopen it my PSD file looks really happen. Copy JPEG looks fine, but the PSD seems far away. I don't have ANY changes in the PSD file since I finally recorded it, and it was well before I closed the file (like about 30 seconds ago).

At first I thought it was a color profile or something to monitor. So I took my (now) desaturated PSD and re-issued one other copy JPEG using the same settings as the last time. When I compare the two JPEG images there is a very obvious difference. The original looks normal and the second (issued by the desaturated PSD file) now looks like desaturated so. So something is definitely altered or messed up in the process.

I'm really scratching my head on this one. Is there something that I am missing?

    Any help would be appreciated!

If you are using Photoshop I keep my PSD files saved without a color profile embedded.

    All right. That explains it.

Pardon my language, but it's a bad idea basically at all levels. Especially if you later convert to CMYK. What, then, you convert to? You don't know, that's what.

Basically, what you're doing are throw everything to the wind, stripping the RGB of any significance numbers. Without a color space numbers mean nothing or nothing at all.

    Hi KOGHelpdesk,

Try to restore Photoshop preferences to default.

    Steps to follow:

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Let us know if that helps.

  • working with layers of animation in CC open psd file so that the layers appear as frames?

I recently got Photoshop CC and work on animations with limited success, I'll open a psd file and sometimes it will open with the layers as frames and other times not I can put the layers in the timeline one at a time but it is very time consuming that some files are 100 or more layers I'll open the file and it will take only a layer of the timeline when I convert to video editing I'm going to drag the layers up to the first line, but when I go back to the timeline, all are invisible except for the first image I know that it's probably something obvious, but I can't understand it.

PSD file have been save with aura image Animations Frames in an animation image in the timeline panel.  PSD have been saved without animation image and aura created video or animation of an image or a video in the timeline palette.

You can create a picture Animation timeline or video for layers Document has nothing in the editing Palette panel.  If you create an image Photoshop Animation can make frame for all the layers quickly and easily.  Create the Animation of the image by clicking on the animation of the image to create in the palette of the timeline. Which will create a single image in the animation of the image. Use the drop-frame animation Palette, then click on branding point layers. An image for each layer will create it in the document.  If the frames are in the wrong order three is in the same menu drop-down to change their order.   There is also an element that will make any new added layers are visible on all frames.  You can also have Photoshop generate tween two frames with the interpolation point.

Here is an animation of image that I created with two layers that are visible in all frames.  A layer of layer mask.  I created two frames. The first and last frames where I changed the position of the layers which has the layer mask in both frameworks.  Then I had Photoshop generated all the other frames between the first and the last images.

  • How to fix the damage psd file?

    Hello!

My computer crashed today while photoshop CS5.1 economy/write in a psd file. When I started my computer to the top and tried to open it again, it displays only 1 layer shown as a corrupt image (as shown - red in the Image below). When I click on the file in the window 'Open' (The Gray Image below), the psd is displayed correctly in the preview window, but does not display correctly when opened. Help, please...

Open it, and then under file > file Info, make sure it is not a code there that shouldn't be there, then he re-record as .psd or .tif

Do not click on strange links that may be present (although sometimes there links to copyright in the field of copyright which are legitimate identifiers.)

Sometimes, when I get questions like this, and there is nothing in the actual file information, this may mean that there is something in the code of the actual image. Then I opened in GraphicConverter and save as .tif or .psd. It clears sometimes upwards.

A .jpg file is not a page layout format. Quark hate them. Never had any problems in Indesign with them but they are compressed.

  • Print quality of the placed PSD files

    Goodmorning,

We have a database of labels created in Photoshop. When you want to print several of them on larger paperformat, put us in an Indesign file. When we print, small texts come out all fuzzy. When I save the PSD to PDF or EPS and that place in InDesign, the text is much clearer.

The PSD file consists of layers and the text is all in text layers.

    We use CS6.

Is there a setting that improves the print quality of the PSD files from any registration as a PDF file is a LOT of work.

    Thanks in advance

Type in Photoshop is rasterized when saved as PSD or EPS. If you want to keep it as a vector type, save them in PDF format. Does that is not to say that if you open a PSD with live type in Photoshop that the type is no longer the category, but when placed in InDesign, it's raster data if it's a PSD.

Of course, the real question is why you create labels in Photoshop?

Moreover, if you have a lot of PSD files you want to convert to PDF, you can do with an action or a droplet and the work will be done very quickly with little effort.

  • Repair damaged adobe photoshop .psd files?

One of my project files has been removed in a terrible accident. I won't go into it, but I got one of the .psd files using a commercial conservation program (Fast File Undelete data DTI). It did not work (go figure) and whenever I try to open the file .psd photoshop (7.0) shows a message box that says: "there was a problem to read the data in the layer. Read the composite data instead? "When I click on the play button of Composite data another box shows that reads,"cannot open '[file name]' because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop. »

It seems as it is very close to work, because there isn't even a vignette. I also got a handful of .jpg and .tga, who are also broke. Does anyone know of a utility that could attempt to repair a .psd, .tga or a .jpg?

Repair Kit PSD that repairs the Photoshop files and you give image repaired to the original format as well as repaired layers and the corresponding safe bitmap file.

-Repair of PSD files developed using any color mode of Photoshop

-Repairs corrupt the PSB ("large document format") files

-Fix images with the DDP file extension

-Provides the bitmap of the repaired Photoshop file

    SECOND FREE SOLUTION:

Photoshop is adding sometimes a few bytes at the beginning of the file when the file is saved, then the same Photoshop gives an error and complained that the files... All you have to do is delete the Group of bytes that unnecessarily.

Assuming that you know already what is a HEX editor and how to use it I'll write here a few steps, you can do before opening a "corrupt": PSD file

    1. make a backup (copy) of the file before making any changes.

2 - Open the file "corrupted" in a HEX editor used (text editor NOT!) and look for such groups of fairness at the beginning: 8 bits/s and after a few bytes 8BIM another group of bytes, then 8BIM.

3 - this succession must be respected strictly: 8BPS... 8BIM... 8BIM. these groups should be very close to each other and it is easy to find.

4 - remove all the bytes before 8 group BPS (shift + delete) and save the file... =)

5 - open in Photoshop and have fun.

    Hello

So, once the checked file elsewhwer in the same versions of the applications and oppened very well, we found what the problem was:

  • Replacement of all PSD layers when a PSD file name has changed

Does anyone know how to quickly add a link to all layers in a PSD file, if the name of the PSD file has been changed?  At present, it seems that I have to add a link to each individual one layer.

For example, I have a PSD with 100 + layers imported in my project, but I would now like to rename the PSD file. Of course, when I do this, AE sees the PSD as 'missing' and there seems to be no way to add a link to all layers for new PSD file name?  I have to click on each individual layer and replace one by one.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

Nope. It's just how it works. AE has no way to know about this either on changes to your PSD files, since the structure of PSD files is not persistent - a simple reorganization of the layers can make a mess. Where EI is able to reference absolute paths with all the disadvantages.

  • *.psd file icons displayed does not correctly after the CC 2014 update

I just installed the new version of 2014 of some applications like Photoshop, Illustrator Adobe, InDesign and so on.

The only problem was caused by Photoshop.

First of all, all my default manager lost *.psd files, they were empty and no software was set to open.

And then when I chose 2014 CC Photoshop as Manager default *.psd THIS happened:

    http://i.imgur.com/iFv9ngR.PNG

as you can see the icon of the illustrator file is normal, but the *.psd file looks like Photoshop.exe icon and not the *.psd file icon.

any ideas how to fix? (already tried to empty the cache icon)

OS: Win 8.1 Pro WMC Update 1 (just making it clear if anyway, it makes a difference)

I had this problem since CC came out last year and I came across a solution yesterday (finally!)

This implies external Download program 3rd party, but now I have the correct icons, so I'm pretty happy.

Here's what I did, if it helps:

    (1) download Default Programs editor this link here.

    2) once you have extracted the .zip file open the .exe and we go.

    (3) this is the first screen, you get...

    4) click on the first item "File Type settings" and you get this:

    5) click on 'icon '.

    (6) for this example I'll change a file, InDesign icon as I already fixed the Photoshop those. An excerpt from the next screen with the white ghost icon InDesign and yes it works if you have the icon default .exe showing instead of a blank white icon.

    7) type in the search box the file extension, you need. In this case because I'm changing the InDesign file I want it to be .indd but you can use for Photoshop .psd or .ai to Illustrator etc etc.

    (8) now, the program will ask what icon you want. What you need to do is click Browse and browse to the location of the default for the program .exe you change who will be in the folder Program Files. In this case my location is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC 2014\InDesign.exe

Once you open that default Programs editor will show the full icon set for this program, as you can see below.

    (9) simply select the one you want and click OK. Click the arrow next to the Save icon, and then choose Save in the registry and then BINGO!

    (10) GLANCE! He has worked.

Just need to sort all my other out now, but he receives a helping hand to the top of me!

  • How to make transparent psd files?

How to make images transparent when psd I drag and drop the layer on the stage on flash cs6?

For example an iv was do what he so far recorded as a psd and then go to the folder to import into the flash library. It's very very time consuming and would be a lot easyer if I can simply drag and drop the layer photoshop on the scene, but the problem is that the image gets a white box around it and that it is not transparent, when I do this.

Is there an option in photoshop or flash to solve this problem and make the background transparent?

Reminds me of Mario Bros. Yoshi

I know what you want to do, but as the first answer mentioned, you can do it. Until Photoshop is updated to copy with transparency intact in the Windows Clipboard, you will not be able to do. The reason why I've linked and showed a screenshot of the GIMP is to prove that it is a limitation of Photoshop, not a limitation of Flash or the Windows Clipboard.

Knowing this, it not there no way for you to copy/paste, drag/drop from Photoshop directly in Flash.

Cartoon animation is essentially identical to the way most of the games work. You create one large master image that contains all the possible variations of your subject (a face, a car, etc.) and import that into a game. Do you the same thing during the animation, only you keep them all separate instead of a single image.

Knowing that your experience with Flash is small and growing, I won't make the most optimal recommendation. I'll stick to 2 things that I've mentioned before, but elaborate on them.

    (1) save your assets on real png with transparency, then import them into Flash.

The reason why I highly recommend this much is due to the function of update of the Flash (I'll explain) and it is possible to automate some (also will be explained).

So, I grabbed a sheet of sprite in Yoshi and say that I did a new pose as you mentioned. In Photoshop I have then select and copy this new single pose, with transparency:

As you know, once you do that you can bring up a "New Image" dialog box, and it will already have the size of your pixels copied (with adorned transparency):

You can see the size is correct and the preset's Clipboard. After that, you just paste your new image in and clear the background to achieve transparency. Then save you it to a separate file. I always use save for Web to a pinch of optimization of size of files and general control:

Yet once, I realize that it is much more that you want to do, but all of this can be automated which will be explained after virtually making a send operation button.

Now we have the image as a separate new PNG image with transparency intact. This image should be imported into the Flash library:

Now you have both a separate physical copy of this pose in a PNG file (which can be useful for many reasons) and Flash can use this file with it's built in control of update of the very rapid changes.

Now say you touch up your a pose a bit. I'll make it really obvious and change the hue of all. You make your changes in Photoshop, follow the same process (even make changes to the original image size), possibly replacing the PNG you created for this installation:

Now in Flash, all you need to do is use the update feature. Right-click on the image in your library, select update. Because it is a file with a physical location, that's all that is needed to change the image in Flash:

The power in this is that if you make changes to dozens or hundreds of png, you can do this command in a single Flash. Select all modified images and press update and all your changes will be made at the time. You can't do this kind of things when you copy and paste directly into Flash.

That said, almost all of the steps above can be automated using the Photoshops Actions Panel. No need to reinvent the wheel, Actions are explained here:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop/CS/using/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-7448a.h tml

I would recommend the Save action once you make your selection rectangle around what you want to save a PNG image. Save up to save for Web and stop there. Then in the future, you press the shortcut key that affect you and it will be part of your choice, open a new document, paste it in, turn off the background for transparency and you will bring to the dialog box in which you can name the image. It's pretty simple and automated. Then just import into Flash and enjoy the benefits.

    (2) use Photoshop to create assets, then another program to copy/paste in Flash

Is not ideal to have 2 programs need, however if you really want you copy and paste directly into Flash, it is the way to go. Download any program that can read the PSD file format, open your PSD in there. If you have enough RAM this shouldn't really be a problem (PS and GIMP side by side, same open file):

As you make changes to the PSD, just hit reload or go back in your program to support ' copy in transparency ', copy what you need, paste it into Flash:

I'll explain some of the benefits of the previous workflow if you want, but I think that this is the overload of enough information for now.

  • 12.2, imported, PSD file added timeline demo, demo is blurred.

    I've recently updated to 12.1 12.2.

I worked on a tutorial for my companies software that uses a lot of PSD files screenshot.

    Today, after AE:CC, when I imported a section I forgot which is a small 256x73px @ 72 dpi image.

After importing, I dragged the demo on my calendar and noticed that it was blurry. Normally, they are sharp as my overview of the rendering is disabled for the final quality and my quality, and sampling is defined for I guess is high.

    Is this a bug?

Here is a screenshot of the problem:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7u4jdmqypu5i5qq/BlurryPSDComp.jpg (Possibly download since Dropbox compresses images)

Red indicates the extra model which is blurred, while the blue indicates that it should look like (photoshop), nice and sharp.

Add the other slices of screenshots of my current project to show the quality and sampling and quick overview (Off).

Something has changed, what do I have to change something in my preferences?

You play with fire using screenshots of Web pages in video projects. The size of the text and fine lines in web designs will not translate to video easily. If you put across the screenshots beyond 100%, they will quickly fall apart.

Visibility options on your web browser to increase the size of everything. Try to make your screenshots with fonts and furred Web pages two or three sizes. You must simply more data in your files.

Another thing to watch is that your layers must be exactly an even number of pixels high and wide. An odd number and any direction will cause fine lines move to the a half pixel and disintegrates.
