  If you mark one in on an adjustment in the source to 00.00.00.00 window layer and cut them in timeline - it is a source of 01.00.00.00 - bug/feature

  Or use a layer of 'transparent video' - timecode effect seems to work OK- best workaround solution

  And according to a dialoge I had with AJA about 3 months ago (in regard to the chronology of the PrP SDI output), first doenst do not generate timecode in the SDI output signal. And according to their tests, FCP 7 was apparently on the same computer that they did the test on.

• How to match a faster timecode alongside clip accelerated in fcpx?

  I want to use the counter of timecode on clips that I am accelerates, so that the meter remains synchronized with the fastest speed of the clamp and therefore appear also at the same fast speed.   Apply the generator of timecode in the video for normal speed. Select the clip and generator together and make a clip made up. Readjust the compound.  You will have one of the problems is that when you create a clip composed, TC generator resets to 00:00:00. 00. you use the Offset setting to reset the time to its original setting.

  In the Inspector number generator, turn off Animate.

  As you hover over the value, you will see a small diamond appear. With the head to the beginning of your project (or where the number generator appears first in the chronology) click on this diamond shape - it turns yellow indicating that you have set a keyframe.

  I have a list of time codes based on a sequence of clips, essentially all of the dailies less certain camera wobbles.

  I want to generate a new sequence of this temporal/worksheet code listing without having to manually change. Any ideas?

  Once you could just drill timecodes in FCP7 and the system would recover the band/clips using the list of timecode.

• Questions of timecode effect

  Anyone having problems with the timecode effect. Not sure if it of a bug or has changed the way it works.

  I add an adjustment layer on a top rail on an edited program. Source range set the value to none and options to generate.

  If there is a break in the video on the timeline, i.e. no video, the TC does not appear (it was in previous versions). Worse still, the timecode changes suddenly with a change of the camera in a multi-cam project. Remember that the track of the source is set to zero, so this should not happen.

  Before I report as a bug, all seen such problems?

  The same thing happens if you add it to a video track transparent?

• «Starting timecode» timecode effect

  How to set the "start timecode" option in the timecode effect?  It is grayed out/not available to select when I use the effect on CC Pro first images (both on images and adjusted each layer).  The offset option has a limit, so I can't make even a workaround solution.

  Hi Jack,

  Check out the menu under "Code Source timecode" and choose "generate". Then you can adjust the timecode for your needs. Hope that helps.

• Why SDK always generates some clips from uncompensated image?

  I created a first sequence: NTSC DV, Codec: DV NTSC, 29.97 FPS, 720 x 480, timecode offset.

  When I try to make a clip with file MXF OP1a (NTSC DV25) presets by SDK, it always generates uncompensated image clip.

  If I use "file-> export-> media..." with the same preset file, exactly compensated.

  "Offset" seems to be an option of sequence and there is no place for config it in the Presets dialog box.

  How can I generate clip image offset by SDK (Controller of the exporter)?

  Now I understand your question.

  There is no API to export controllers to intercept or to modify the rendering, contained in the .epr file being used.

• Video effect in Premiere Pro CS6 timecode problem?

  If poster is similar to the description for the question people have been seen in 5.5.  Here are the details...

  • New installation, make the leap from FCP, first opened PPCS6 facility.

  • Source footage introduced as DVCPRO HD 720 p at 60 frames per second. any in the new sandbox, then to the timeline in sequence 1... works perfectly.

  • New transparent clip on track over the images, extended length full production.  Apply video effects > timecode to the transparent clip.

  • I see the reticle and dark translucent box positioning and indicator field... but no turnover number, even after having made.

  Just need to make a TC of the film burn and I spent half a day trying to get the burn to work.

  Any ideas?

  Don't thanks for your reply, however, no results, same problem.  However, I think I can found root cause is... this issue be a designer, I have too much (managed through the information manager) installed fonts with a conflict here and there, and I had to use "helvetica" of my client and other policies from time to time.  I have activated an account on my computer (nice and clean fonts & settings) have pulled up the same document in first and BOOM rolling timecode is displayed.  So with this solution in hand, my thought is somewhere I have damaged/lost the police in my basic account that uses the first to generate timecode.  I wish there was a setting I could change into effect video timecode to choose what the police is used... maybe you might spend on product development?  Or you know precisely what the police, he uses the video effect TC?

  In any case, thanks for your answer... now I'm off to go see if I can solve the problem of fonts in my basic user account.

  It seems it would be an easy thing to understand, but I'm deleting so far:

  I have a video of the source of long, 10 minutes (actually a series of film clips 16mm which were telecined to a single uncompressed .mov 10-bit with continuous timecode by a film laboratory) on my project timeline.  I need to be able to export a small section of the timeline for individual .mov files - and I need to be able to open the short .mov files in a logging of film application called F5.  Currently, I'm making these videos in H.264 .mov files, since it is a format that F5 can read.  Rendering/export selection "work area" of my project works very well, so it's no problem.

  The problem I have is that timecode of the resultant .mov H.264 files do not match the time code on the timeline of the project of my first - they always start at 00:00:00:00.  I don't want that.  If I made (for example) a section of 00:05:10:00 to 00:07:00:00 on my project timeline, I need time to start exported .mov file code 00:05:10:00 and the 00:07:00:00, does not restart at 00:00:00:00.  Is this possible?

  I'm in first Pro CS6.0.2 on a Mac OSX 10.8.2, all installed updates.

  works by using "title" (cause its alpha) but does not work using the video black... I have to jump through hoops to do it this way... is nuts... so title works fast

  so you put cti where you want to start, updated title to the top he put above your video, timecode in, "generate", set the start time to slide the title at the end of your work for the export bar... and it should be good...

  You can do this with a formula or a script.

  With the formula, you will need an auxiliary column (which can be hidden) to build an index of separate dates which are in column A. I updated the index in column B below, but it can go in a column at the far right of your table if you wish. The index is used to indicate the RESEARCH that dates to generate a list of the different dates in column D. If you wish, this Lily can be built on a separate table.

  

  There are two formulas used on the table, each came into line 2 of his column, then filled up to the end of the table.

  The formula in column B is used to create the index list:

  B2: = IF (COUNTIF(A$1:A2,A2) = 1, MAX(B$1:B1) + 1"," ")

  The formula into D2 uses RESEARCH to retrieve the copy indexed each date:

  D2: = IF ((ROW (−1)) > MAX (B),"", LOOKUP (ROW () −1, B, A) ")

  The first part of this formula is a switch that determines whether the formula has reached the latest indexed data and disables the calculation of the part at that time here.
