• Timecode effect works is not in PP CC 721

  I just noticed that the timecode effect does not work. I often use to burn in TC for translators. It has to happen at one of the updates. Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Adobe, are you aware of this? I get just a dot instead of the timecode. See photo. Thank you.

  I just remembered another case which manifests exactly as you see it: the font used for the effect is missing or otherwise throw body a curve ball. See this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5723805#5723805. In a more recent report of the same show, I thought that a developer has indicated that the policy in question is Arial, but that's a souvenir rather dim.

• «Starting timecode» timecode effect

  How to set the "start timecode" option in the timecode effect?  It is grayed out/not available to select when I use the effect on CC Pro first images (both on images and adjusted each layer).  The offset option has a limit, so I can't make even a workaround solution.

  Hi Jack,

  Check out the menu under "Code Source timecode" and choose "generate". Then you can adjust the timecode for your needs. Hope that helps.

• Change to the Question of the effect of color

  Hi This is only my second year really using after effects and I've not really used this feature before. But basically, I want to make the color of the water kettle. His white origin. Now, I don't expect the change of color to exactly match the kettle. But when I use the function to color the kettle from white to pink (a bright color), it works pretty well actually. But when I try to color as a darker color, that it does not work. I need to change the hue, brightness and Sam for this has no effect, but it is not fully complete as the rose. How can I change the color of a brown colour only. Ive has messed around with it for a couple of hours now and I'm kind of stuck. Is it possible to do what I did for the pink kettle for the Brown kettle. I hope it's clear. Let me know if something needs to be clarified.

  I recorded my workflow here. As you could see the brown color change is very wet and does not work with only the hue. While the pink kettle has functioned very well. I don't understand how I got the pink color in the video, but I just enabled the effect on this clip.

  There is nothing to do. In: it's all just a bad workflow and you wait too long. You answered your own question already in part: use other effects, use several layers manually create masks and hiding.

  Hello.

  scenario of
  I'll put up an object when you click it, you are returned to the top of the page.

  I use a screen 1920 x 1080 and so the effect of scrolling is set to this standard.

  You can pin the object in place, so when you scroll down to the bottom of the page that remains in the same position (instead of scrolling effects)

  Given the scope defined on the left side of your screen should ensure that it is visible on all the monitors of size.

  I am very new to this forum and After Effects. But I have a few questions.

  Now, I recently started a film project with my friend at a workshop. It's an action/sci-fi film and I'll probably be the editor and, if necessary, support visual and special effects. This looks like a pretty big job for a noob, but we do not have a limit of time with the project, so it's time to learn.

  But my questions. I thought to myself of the introduction of CGI (very simple of course). I studied the use of blender, and I think that I'll use for modeling and animation. But Ae should be used in any stage of production of CGI or make in a blender? If I do, how? I'm going in the wrong direction (bad kind of software, etc.)?

  In addition, I do not speak of fully producing the scene with the computer, but by adding things like the characters or objects, may be special effects.

  I'm hoping for an answer to my questions, but if you only have one or two responses, I'm happy to hear also. You are also welcome to correct me if I misunderstood something. Thank you for clarification if you need!

  1. Welcome to the family. AE is big, very big. It's hard. Really hard. Not sure how hard AE is learr and master.

  2. no time limit is good, but you will need the money.

  3. This is not a forum of Blender. You want to discover the film, CGI and Blender own forums for this kind of assistance.

  4 AE is for your compositing and special effects. But you will need to learn how both apps work until you decide how to distribute your project. A comparison would be shooting your film. Using a digital SLR? Do you know why? Or do you use a GoPro? Another example may be Apple Final Cut Pro. You can edit the audio in it, but it is preferable to use an audio application. You can do special effects in FCP but it is better to do complex things in motion for After Effects. How can you know what app is appropriate a lot of experience. Many failures.

  5. we were all new EI vidoe editing and special effects at one time or another. The user forums are not places to learn how to use these applications. Do you with tutorials, books and tons of time. One thing is to learn how to use the Blender to make a robot move. Do the robot into a character that requires the public to worry, it is quite another. Using AE to create a layer of clouds is one thing. With these clouds react to bow waves created by your robot flying as it closer sonic speeds is quite another challenge.

  In the if structure in the center of the Position in the stack control, if the Position is not 1, I would check if the photo to the stack ("photoHeadOfStack'") is part of the 'pictures '. I tried 'elseif photos.photoHeadOfStack then' and ' elseif photos [photoHeadOfStack] then ' but it doesn't work-> This elseif is never true even if 'photoHeadOfStack' part of the 'photos'.

  Any way to have this check done without checking the photos "manually"? (via e.g. a loop for)

Conceptually the table could be read only once, and each line is read that it could be provided with each selection, 'feed' the data for each selection as a set of pipelines. This is perhaps what is happening behind the scenes, but I don't know how to check or control that is relevant to me because the table involved is very large, but a union of several chooses is easier to write and maintain.
  
  This example shows two queries that provide the same result to illustrate what I mean. The table can be read once by using a single select that switches on the data. But the logic to pass values like this can get ugly pretty quick. A query of the unions allows each to be as simple as possible, but it seems to force the table to be read several times.   Well, the questions on the UNION, but your example has UNION ALL (they are not equivalent).

  In the latest version of the basis of the answer (for UNION ALL) is Yes using factorization of join.

  That be answered, they technically correct answer would be to fix the data model. Having COL_1, COL_2, COL_X... usually reflects a design flaw.

• Question about adverse effects

  I know that this could be a crazy way to create an effect in AE, but just what works for me, huh?  In any case, see the screenshot below.  I create 3 sequences similar to the image below - CONFIDENCE, QUALITTY and the UPDATE.  At the end of the DISCUSSION, the letter O became part of the company logo, upwards to center the screen, and then the slogan turns.

  As you can see from downstairs, I have the three sequences set up, but they are put in place about how the sequence will end.  Now I have to move all the items off the screen, do one at a time so that they fly toward their end points (as seen in the image below).

  Is it possible to leave to their entry points as below, create on the fly in (but in this case, they fly ON and off the screen), and then specify AF to run the opposite effect?  It seems that it would make life so much easier to do it this way.

  Just start from the basics of how you, and then down the timeline to a point where you want the animation to end and set keyframes for each property you want to animate. Now back in the scenario where you want the animation to start and roll off the screen elements. No need to reverse the animation, just start setting keyframes at the end.

• Question on the effect of title

  Use only the titration in first module Pro CS5 (unharmed), would be possible to have in bland titles, from left to right, a line at a time and then fade out from left to right from a line at a time?

  If so, how it would accomplish this?

  Create a title for each line of text.  Use the linear effect wipe each line on and each line.  Add a few feathers so soften the edge.

• Question of video effects

  With the help of prepro is CS4 an effect that can mimic the vibrations of the unit? I've been going through all the effects and not find anything.

  One can easily fixed Keyframe Effects > Motion > Position and maybe a touch of Motion > scale.

  AE has The Wiggler, and a ton of Presets to create all sorts of "shake". I don't think PrPro built-in, but there are probably a lot of effects 3rd too.

• Update the question in my effect Plugin

  Hello

  I am writing a small plugin effect, where I have one or two color swatches in the user interface.

  The layer I apply the effect will be PreComp (with 2 layers inside). So whenever I change the color of my effect, the color should be updated with the corresponding layers inside PreComp if fill effect they have.

  What I mean is that if I change the value of the color in the first color picker, it must change the fill color effect to the first layer inside the PreComp. And it's the same with the second.

  I know that its bit confusing.

  Now my problem is color is not updated correctly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

  I tried to send a PF_OutFlag_REFRESH_UI, but it does not work. Perhaps this will refresh current only Comp.

  and you can always read the color on your effect settings using AEGP_GetNewStreamValue.

  Yes I know, you can get it via the params table]

  but this way you don't have to check in advance during pre-rendered, and you get the float values that MUST be compatible with those that you set in the fill effect.

  Maybe it's the way to go for you, because it only occurs when the user changes something and not on each rendering operations,

  If you don't mind the process being a bit useless.

• 3 simple questions involving basic effects.

  I use Pro CS3 on Windows 7.

  (1) is it possible to apply an audio transition to make something fade out?  I see only 'constant gain' and not 'the constant loss' or something else.  I don't know how to lose volume over time.

  (2) I wanted to do a bunch of clips black and white at the same time, so I highlighted all the clips that I wanted to have that effect on and dragged the black and white effect in the menu on the clips, but it did nothing!  I tried several times, even tried the reverse, dragging the clips of the effect, but nothing.  I had to finally click on each item separately and apply the effect, very tedious.  Is it possible to apply it to several at once?

  (3) I can change the volume of a single audio file by clicking middle yellow bar on the fastener of the line of time and travel upwards (or downwards in case I want it reduced to silence) but I can't figure out how to do this in several clips at the same time.  For example, if I want 5 clips to increase by 4.5 dB without clicking each clip individually.  Thanks a lot for your help guys.

  1. Controls by clicking on the audio "elastic" to add a control point.   For example to fade a clip to add a control point 1 second from the end and the other at the end.  Drag a last up to zero.    Or; Add an audio transition of melted at the end or at the beginning of the clip.  (command D shft)
  2. In addition to a clip.  Then copy this clip, select all the other clips, and choose attributes of the dough.
  3. If you want to change all the clips or gain, volume change the volume of the track.

• Effect of superposition of timecode - timecode is displayed

  The timecode effect / timecode generator does not work.

  Putting the timecode effect on the clip or even an adjustment layer, it does not appear. Just a 'point '. I can't create a temporal code even when you enter a new timecode to start manually.
