  Nope. You must have sighted GPU in order to get the boost GPU.

  The Quadro K series is on the supported list, so it is strange that having the preview turned on GPU cause lag. It should be the opposite where the CPU preview is jerky.

  Unfortunately there is no way to determine if someone has picked up to the top of the computer. But if they used Windows backup: backup the data, then you can go ahead and check the details under data file backup.

  I have a Mac Mini 2012 with Intel HD 4000 GPU and I'am using the stand-alone version of Lightroom 6.

  Everything worked very well using Lightroom on Mac OSX 10.111 6.0. 10.11.5 but after upgrade of 10.11.6 OS and Lightroom to 6.6.1 GPU acceleration stopped working:

  Check the supported OpenGL: failed

  Seller: Intel Inc.

  Version: 4.1 INTEL - 10.14.73

  Rendering engine: Intel HD Graphics Engine OpenGL 4000

  LanguageVersion: 4.10

  I know that this GPU supports Open GL 4.1, so there should not be any problem in theory... But neither Adobe or Apple provides very explicit and relevant diagnoses on what is really necessary, what doesn't and what workaround. I know I shouldn't have updated the operating system and the application without tests but well, both were minor revisions and I naively thought it was supposed to work smoothly... Nevertheless, here are my specific questions:

  (1) who has a stand-alone version of Lightroom with the Mac OS x 10.11.6 functional GPU acceleration? If so, which? (Be specific in describing your hardware also).

  (2) what is the latest version of Lightroom with the GPU under Mac OS X 10.11.5 acceleration? It is dead to me, but it might help prevent people who will barely even if the answer to question (1), it's that there is no version of Lightroom with the Mac OS 10.11.6 GPU acceleration.

  As always in such cases, it is very difficult to sort out who is to blame for the mess (Adobe or Apple)... So precise answers to these questions would be really useful for users.

  If you do not use a 4 k monitor, I myself wouldn't care about the GPU acceleration too.

  The HD4000 is a slow GPU and there is not a lot of gain with its acceleration - or not at all and if so, only with a monitor high resolution (4 k or later).

  None of this has been helpful to me. Meanwhile, the GPU cooperates with Photoshop CC as it should, so I would say that the problem is on the side Lightrooms, not my systems.

• GTX580 - price/performance GPU for editing?

  So I just found an opportunity 4790K CPU i7. Looking for a GPU cheaply to render. GTX 580 seemed to be a good shot. Not crippled in terms of power, as the new Kepler and Maxwell GPU (except Titan) treatment. I don't know that it performs much better in Premiere Pro. Am I wrong?

  These criteria have nothing to do with the performance of GPU acceleration for multimedia content applications. Double-precision is rarely used in these media applications and shows no impact at all right now with them. If your building a system for anything which uses specifically so get a map of Titan. If your building it for acceleration and media contained current GPU applications such as Adobe or Davinci then don't bother. A 780Ti card will far surpass the 580GTX in Adobe and Davinci so double precision wins you nothing and you lose performance with the 580GTX. BTW if double-precision has been much used in the Quadro cards could actually show some advantage for GPU acceleration, even if they have the lower part of the GPU on all except the K6000. They show actually much lower performance on average especially compared to the 780Ti card for example with the maps in the 700 series. That's not even getting into the fact cards AMD half performance with the current implementation of CL open. Of course the double precision doesn't help here either.

• Ultra low rate, GPU not used

  When you use After effects during playback, I get about 10-4 frames per second. With frame rates that low it are almost impossible to make videos. I use a desktop gadget to monitor GPU usage. I noticed that my GPU is not used at all, use of the 0% and only a few MB of memory consumed by 4 GB of GDDR5. I called Adobe customer service and basically I was told that after effects only uses as much power as it should be GPU. OK, this makes since and if I was getting 30 + FPS so I wouldn't care, but it seems strange to me that After effects is running so badly and not using my GPU. If my GPU is at the maximum, I would understand I need a GPU more powerful to improve the frame rate, but since my GPU is not used at all, not even a little bit, then I don't think it's a hardware problem, but a sort of definition that is not fair. The only thing I could think is that my HARD drive is slow or that the GTX cards are not designed to run Open Gl and maybe that is the problem, but I double checked the Adobe website and GTX cards are supported.  Also, I downloaded a few other software to check GPU and the two Office, gadget and software GPU monitor does not show any activity. I'm really new to After effects.  Thanks for help.

• New MacBookPro (2010) - VMware releases GPU dedicated... why?

  I use a monitoring tool that indicates if the Intel HD GPU or the dedicated Nvidia GPU 330GT is running at any given time, so I can clearly see that from a virtual computer triggers the GPU dedicated, which means that my MacBook Pro consumes a lot more power.

  The virtual machine (Win XP Pro SP 3) is in mode single window with 3D acceleration is disabled.

  I can't imagine the advantage of the GPU dedicated on that internal in this scenario. Any thoughts? Any chance to get back on the GPU inner in the interests of greater autonomy?

  My understanding is that any time a program uses OpenGL, OS X will switch to the discrete GPU. Fusion uses OpenGL to draw the poster comments (even if you have not enabled 3D acceleration), which means the discrete GPU is still used while the merger is running.

  We can get the JVM properties using the WLST, do the following

  (1) Goto {Weblogic-home}/wlserver_10.3/common/bin, run the wlst.sh script

  #sh wlst.sh

  2) connect to the managed server sought for which you are searching JVM properties

  WLS: offline > connect ('username', 'password','t3: / /:')

  (3) then run the command serverRuntime()

  WLS:/domain_name/ServerConfig>ServerRuntime()

  (4) then use the command ls()

  (5) and then run the following in order

  WLS: / domain_name/ServerRuntime > CD ('JVMRuntime')
  WLS: / domain_name/serverRuntime/JVMRuntime > cd ("the Desird server name '")
  WLS: / domain_name/serverRuntime/JVMRuntime/desired server name > ls)

  It will show the FMV of your server of your choice properties

  Global variable allows you to check this. In the WHEN_CREATE_RECORD trigger, value in ON_COMMIT and the TRUEglobal as variable as triggers change the value of the variable to FALSE. And check the variables WHEN_CREATE_RECORD Trigger value before you assign TRUE to it.

• Illustrator 2015 CC can not read the file

  Yesterday, I created a few illustrations in Illustrator CC 2014. Saved the file. No problems.

  Today, I upgraded to Illustrator CC 2015 and it seems that 2015 is unable to read the file I created yesterday. The file open, but is just a blank canvas that can be expanded, moved or modified.

  -J' reinstalled illustrator. Problem remains.
