Lightroom 6.6.1 + Mac OSX 10.11.6: Acceleration GPU unavailable?

I have a Mac Mini 2012 with Intel HD 4000 GPU and I'am using the stand-alone version of Lightroom 6.

Everything worked very well using Lightroom on Mac OSX 10.111 6.0. 10.11.5 but after upgrade of 10.11.6 OS and Lightroom to 6.6.1 GPU acceleration stopped working:

Check the supported OpenGL: failed

Seller: Intel Inc.

Version: 4.1 INTEL - 10.14.73

Rendering engine: Intel HD Graphics Engine OpenGL 4000

LanguageVersion: 4.10

I know that this GPU supports Open GL 4.1, so there should not be any problem in theory... But neither Adobe or Apple provides very explicit and relevant diagnoses on what is really necessary, what doesn't and what workaround. I know I shouldn't have updated the operating system and the application without tests but well, both were minor revisions and I naively thought it was supposed to work smoothly... Nevertheless, here are my specific questions:

(1) who has a stand-alone version of Lightroom with the Mac OS x 10.11.6 functional GPU acceleration? If so, which? (Be specific in describing your hardware also).

(2) what is the latest version of Lightroom with the GPU under Mac OS X 10.11.5 acceleration? It is dead to me, but it might help prevent people who will barely even if the answer to question (1), it's that there is no version of Lightroom with the Mac OS 10.11.6 GPU acceleration.

As always in such cases, it is very difficult to sort out who is to blame for the mess (Adobe or Apple)... So precise answers to these questions would be really useful for users.

If you do not use a 4 k monitor, I myself wouldn't care about the GPU acceleration too.

The HD4000 is a slow GPU and there is not a lot of gain with its acceleration - or not at all and if so, only with a monitor high resolution (4 k or later).

    5. open the file LR 6.7 and update

    7. start LR and its update to 6.7

    (I tried this process twice before it works)

    Hope will work for all you canon 5 d mark iv out there.

    Please make sure that you gave permission for the folders listed in the article, follow these steps.

    1 - give read and write permissions for the Application Support folder and preferably on User Library and the secret library.

    2 - Add user and admin both permissions.

    When you open the Get Info option for specific folder.

    Make sure you click on '+' symbol, it will open the list of user accounts. Add currently logged in user account and Director of user account, if it is not added.

    Both must have read and write to prevent access these some questions in the future.

    Important:

    Once you added as currently logged on user account and administrator user accounts and provided access for reading and writing.

    Make sure you click on the gear icon and select apply to closed.

    Lock dialog box and close the Get Info .

    So that all the folders in the folder Adobe will get read and write access.

  • Impossible to import pix in Lightroom if you use Apple OSX (El Capitan)

    Since upgrading my Mac OS x (El Capitan), pix imported automatically get downloaded to Apple app 'Photos' instead of Lightroom, which I use regularly (for years). What needs to be done to send images directly to Lightroom instead, as before?   I made the change in the Image Capture, assigning the value 5.5 Lightroom (version I use), but still get a message that the files "cannot be imported because they cannot be read.

    It is certainly a common problem!  Who found the solution?

    Ok!  I found the problem - and the solution!  The auxiliary drive, sure that my photos are is based NTSF, and Mac OSX El Capitan does not write (i.e. import) to it. BUT the software called "Paragon NTFS for Mac 14' corrects this - and I am now finally able to use Lightroom again after upgrade to El Capitan!

    Don't know what happened... but... this AM to day LR CC to 2015.2.1 and now I have a folder named "Adobe Lightroom".  In this folder is an application named 'Adobe Lightroom' which shows Date of change as 26,2015 Apr, 11:41.

    When I run this application I get info &... "Photoshop Light Room CC Release 2015.2.1.  Don't see no other record any other folder with "Lightroom in the name of".  What I find interesting is that the PS folder is named "Adobe Photoshop CC 2015".

    So basically the things work OK but the naming convention seems a little different.  I'm coming back on "if it is not broken... don't fix.

  • Cannot start the Creative Cloud sync on Mac OSX

    Hello

    I am unable to start Creative Cloud synchronization of file under Mac OSX 10.9.3. By clicking on 'Start Sync' in the screenshot below causes the creative dialog box clouds white Flash and then the page "Start syncing" appears again.

    By clicking on the new button and it seems a whir in life (see below), but after some time looks like it times out and goes back to the screen "Start Sync". I restarted the creative cloud app, the relaunch finder, changed the target synchronization and rebooted the computer location. Still the same problem.

    I hope someone can help. I bought an add on for Lightroom and you want to use the feature to synchronize to install - as well as the activation of file synchronization.

  • Mac OSx Sierra Time Machine WD my cloud

    Since upgrading to Mac OSX Sierra my Macbook Pro and Macbook Air are not capable of doing Time Machine back Ups to a WD MyCloud drive that is connected to our router.

    We have updated the firmware on the WD My Cloud drive to the latest version and contacted WD on this problem, so far they have not come with a solution to the problem.

    If you open Time Machine preferences and then observe what happens, by hitting 'Back Up Now' systems do "Looking to save the disc" then "Preparing backup" then stop and then go back to the status of 'rest' without backup anything to the top at all.     Notice how the drive icon changes to the point where it stops working and then goes to the other drive which is a USB.

    Now, to complicate the issue further... an iMac connected via Ethernet to the router can go back to the My Cloud drive perfectly as before. If Apple changed something with the wireless protocols I think but that?

    Create a full backup of your Thunderbird profiles folder.
    Uninstall the old version of ESR.
    Download the latest version from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all.html and install it.

    When I click on the drop down bookmarks menu, it's too wide. If there is a folder in the contents list shown far right. At the point where I'm moving the mouse on there where the contents of the folder is it disappears. Am on Mac OSX Lion. I tried to scroll on the corners and sides of the drop down list to search again for the sizing handles, but none are. It is not just Firefox 31 version as has happened for some time.     You can check the problems caused by a corrupt localstore.rdf file.

    Reset the zoom of page on pages that are causing problems.

    • View > Zoom > reset (Ctrl + 0 (zero); 0 + Command on Mac)

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
