  Hi all

  I am creating a website in Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. I am trying to add a page with a membership form that fields of entries in a database.

  I have set up a local test server (using xampp) that worked. That is to say the form accepts the data and passes through to the database.

  However, when I put the form and files to the remote server and try to access the page of form input (www.friendsofchopin.org.au/mem_form.php), I get the following error:

  Your remote connection may be different from your local connection.

  Did you check with your host that what connection you should use?

  'localhost' in the connection string might be just your domain name - "yourdomain.com".

  I worked on a project for months in CS 5.5 (Windows 7 64-bit.)  Yesterday my connection to MYSQL database suddenly did.  I consulted the database even in 2 other applications successfully on my own computer and technical support of my hosting company (Codero) accessible also with success the same database at the same time, while I was on the phone.  No clue in the error message.  Its just "access denied."  If something is wrong and I did it without doubt, and now I don't know how to get back on track.  It seems to be a problem specific to my installation.    No idea where to start?  My installation is a lease paid in advance fully authorized Adobe, automatically updated daily via internet.

  Ok.  I thought about it. The problem was related to my use of a subdomain for a development site.    Dreamweaver detects URLs in the database by looking at the WEB url, as written in the page of server configuration, the configuration of a Site dialog box.  The full path where the site on the server files is specified in the directory "root". who has been to properly resolve the name of the server, Dreamweaver takes "/ subdomains/dev/httpdocs /" "bizzocall.com /" and he cocatenates with this directory root to give you a name to use for FTP connections full path.  What I did wrong was use the directory "root" in the field "Web URL" as well.  I had this path defined incorrectly as "bizzocall.com/subdomains/dev/http/".   "This caused the database url be cocatenated like this: dev.bizzocall.com/subdomains/dev/http/", which is redundant and went nowhere.  When I changed the WebURL to http://dev.bizzocall.com, it worked.  I hope that this little exercise is useful to someone!  :<>

  You are using a bookmark, or you start with the homepage (home) on this Web site?

  If you use a bookmark to open a specific page on the server and then try to navigate to this page from the home page or the page of connection Web site where this bookmark is currently suspended.

  Best is to avoid the bookmarking a specific page which has been achieved by sending POST data in a (hidden) form or bookmarking a page that contains the GET data added to the URL (? xxx = xxx) or links to a specific area in the case where load balancing is used because they can easily get broken if changes are made to the server.

• Cannot install extensions - access denied

  I am trying to install an extension, but a message pops up saying that Firefox prevented me from moving it. I'm going to the addon website and try to install from there, but I get another message saying Firefox "cannot change the necessary file. I think I know what it is - the extensions folder in my profile, it's all the 'access denied' - NOTHING I could move I tried through the Security tab, but everything he tells me it is that I need read permissions.   Thunderbird was not able to update from version 24.6.0 (under Windows 7). Whenever I try to auto update, it tells me that the update fails. When I let the updater download a full version, which also fails.   What firewall / anti-virus software you are using. My guess is that the firewall or the anti virus software blocks both the update and full installation because it contains ZIP files. I have not heard that outside the paranoid company / parameters of business in the past, but there's always a first time.

  RE: "access denied" following the installation of Firefox question. I have the same problem. Details below: I tried opening in Mode safe that has not worked. I have administrative access. When I click on the general tab in properties, I get a message that there is no such thing as "firefox.exe". This file, or any other type 'install' file appears in the directory Mozilla Firefox with the exception of 'uninstall '. I downloaded and tried to install seven times from six different sources, including Mozilla, all with the same results. I also tried a number of solutions on the web for this error without great success. I tried, first of all, to make an upgrade, then remove the old version of Firefox and have been 'install' since then. Avast, Malwarebytes and Threatfire found no malware.

  I've never had a similar problem with Firefox before and I used it for years. Anyone has any ideas that I have not already tried? I'm tired of using Internet Explorer! RE: Troubleshooting below - information Windown will not open the downloaded file.

  This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  • Check the permissions on the subject: permissions page and in "tools > Page Info > Permissions.

  Firefox functioned perfectly until we have updated to version 30.0. It seems that the new version does not like our Proxy Configuration that requires users to auth with their AD accounts.

  Trouble Shooting - update

  Interestingly enough, Firefox works for 1 minute after I use Safari with proxy Auth. However, if I get Safari for 1 or 2 minutes, Firefox will be stop working and displays similar error message.

  I downloaded a bios update file and saved to a folder on my desktop.  It's for another computer.  When I try to delete it now, it says "access denied."  The name of the file is sp24786.exe.  This is a utility to create a disk to update the bios for an Armada 1750.  My laptop is a DV5140US.  Can someone help me?

  You probably accidentally "run" the file, and there is a window somewhere waiting for you to click 'OK' or something, when an exe is runing, windows do not allow you to delete it. But it should allow you to remove it if it is not not runing.

  It looks like they put geographical restrictions. It could be that they serve clients from countries or a region only.

  The number could be their way of tracking visitors from outside of their service area.

• Satellite L30-101 Vista "access denied."

  I get an "Access denied" error when trying to access my own document folders. There are two users put in place on the PC, but we control disabled user account with no password required to access accounts and are both set as administrators. The permissions are enabled for all users on the records in question.
  I have Vista Home Basic and have never run any other operating system on this PC or upgraded operating system.

  To be honest I n don't know what the problem is here and since when you have this mysterious number, but please don t get me wrong, but I don t know if your described problem has nothing to do with Toshiba and, in my opinion, you should contact Microsoft and ask them if they have explanations why this happens.
