ACCESS Oracle Server MTA PTR PORT as

Hi all

is it possible to deny the connections where the source IP address has no PTR record at the MTA level?

If you are looking for items of knowledge of MOS for "dns_verify", you will find a few who should be helpful in this regard.

  • How to access a server based on the TCP/IP protocol port?

    Hi all

Is it possible to access a server through a specific port via TCP/IP?

We have a step of database server in our network that supports the TCP/IP access. My boss asks if it is possible to get some simple data via blackberry?

The thing is that blackberry device is not in the network, how can we put a bb device in our intranet? Via enterprise server?

Alternatively, if we can put the server on the internet, can the blackberry device access via TCP/IP?

    Thank you

    Jerry

If you use wifi BB can access local servers. using direct tcp: nope.

You can use a bes express (which is free) If you're afraid of costs, still takes time to install/configure etc of course, otherwise you can only use your product if your BB is in the local WiFi network.

  • Access Oracle Portal Configuration problem (OAM 11.1.2.2 + OTD)

    Hi all

Has anyone faced the question below while installation & configuration of the Portal (PAO) to access Oracle?

I followed the Oracle documentation(up to 47.3.14.1) , but began to get server errors to access the /logonmangager using the port of Oracle traffic Director (OTD).

OTD oblog.log inspection, I noticed that the following have been measurement error,

  • HTTP 400 Bad Request when it accesses Oracle XE/Apex of the Internet

I have Oracle Express Edition upgrade to the Apex 3.2. I can access everything (SQL, Apex HTTP command prompt) on my local machine. I configured the remote access on a default undefined port (no 8080) server.

    I've run: exec dbms_xdb.setListenerLocalAccess (false);

I can access the server using:

http://Coyote:9977 / apex (which brings me to the login screen of Services of Administration Application Express)

("coyote" is the name of the local computer to my Windows Vista box, where the Oracle/Apex server.)

    But when I try:

    http://internet_server_name:9977 / apex

(where "internet_server_name" is the internet DNS name visible to my machine visible to the internet.)

I get 'HTTP 400 Bad Request'

I know that demand is hitting the Oracle listener (pass through the firewall, router, cable modem, etc.) as the http attempt results in the entry:

    March 20, 2009 20:36:53 * http * (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp (PORT = 52540))(HOST=68.189.244.22)) * transfer * http * 0

    in the C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\network\log\listener.log

An attempt by using the name of the local machine (Windows) made a similar entry in the journal of the listener:

    March 20, 2009 20:47:35 * http * (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp (PORT = 52811))(HOST=192.168.1.7)) * transfer * http * 0

This seems to be a security problem (is the server an application of "outside" of the local domain?)

I am new to Oracle, so I'm not familiar with how to debug this kind of connectivity problem. In case it helps:

Yes, the upgrade of Apex removes the 'DB admin' application Apex Oracle provided with 2.2 (I would like to Oracle he would free downloadable projects).

To enable FTP on the database, you must set the FTP port. See routines dbms_xdb.getftpport () and dbms_xdb.setftpport () http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_epg.htm#CHDIDGIG (documentation that I mentioned earlier) and http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb19rpl.htm#i1028085

  • Remote access Windows Server 2012 through internet with desktop connection

Summer messing about with it for days and don't get no love.

Try to connect with Windows 7 Ultimate edition to Windows Server 2012 Data Center version from outside my home network, Starbucks or McDonald's or my server at home.

Tried all these steps found in this promising and useful article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/allow-remote-desktop-connections-from-outside-your-home-network

    1. Allow connections to the computer you want to access remotely. DONE - ADDED to THE SERVER AND NON-ADMIN ACCOUNT to RDP GROUP of ROLES, using network level authentication. Connection of Win 7, so this method of authentication should not be a problem, I assume.
    2. Make sure that remote desktop is able to communicate through your firewall. DONE - FOR BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE RULE.

    3. Find the IP address of the computer on your home network you want to connect. MADE - by using the ipconfig/all command

    4. Open your router configuration screen and worms forward port 3389 for TCP IP address of the destination computer. DONE - NOT TCP/UDP but TCP only, internal and external port goes. Note: The use of a booster signal wifi at the end of the House, it is a problem that requires additional configuration? I don't think he has an ip address or acts as a router. But in desperation I can try unplugging then again head the local Starbucks to try to connect.

    5. Find the IP address of the router so that the remote desktop can be found on the Internet. DONE - using "what is my ip", pretty easy.

    6. Open Remote Desktop connection, and connect. ACTUALLY, I think THAT, IN ENTERING [ip router]: 3389.

But the result of the message is always the typical:

    (1) remote access to the server is not enabled.

    > But this is not true, that I am capable of the DRC at home on the server machine.

    (2) computer remote is not off.

    > But this is not true, as I just left home 30 minutes and sometimes it's rarely, only restarted.

    (3) the remote computer is not available on the network.

    > Don't know what that means. Of course the remote computer is not on the network, I am on right now. It's on my home network. But I can ping my router ip via cmd, then coming to the outside can be done; through my router, I should be able to access inside my home network port forwarding w. But no love.

So... what to do, what to do...

The wifi booster is a problem?

Connects to the Data Center edition a problem?

What happens if I uncheck the option ' use authentication NLA, is that the passage of the security risk?

Any ideas about the configuration I could be missing before giving up and go for VPN or TeamViewer. I would really like to see materialized during all the time that I put in trying to run the DRC.

    Thanks for any input.

  • Where to put the report server ip and port for the Siebel server?

    Hello

Where to put the report server ip and port for the Siebel server? I have checked the document "Reports Siebel Guide" but does not know where is the configuration section ' ip address of the server and port ' for 'Oracle BI Publisher.

Note: I have installed BI Publisher, now necessary to define the ip editor and siebel server port.

    Please help, thanks.

    Hello

Communication between Siebel and BEEP coming through webservices. You must set the Siebel Outboundwebservice 'PublicReportService' address to address BI Publisher.

Similarly, the address of the webservice Siebel Inbound 'BIPSiebelSecurityWS' will be used by BEEP setting under the security model of Siebel - Siebel end Webservice poin of connecting to Siebel EAI, data inorder of success authenticate the Siebel user to perform the tasks of report being initiate Siebel UI.

Please go through the integration document attached to the thread "Re: ADVISE WEBCAST: BI Publisher 11g Configuration with Siebel", it is any integration Siebel with BEEP 11g steps. " But if you go through each step, there are details about why we do it. Through this way you can better understand the integration.

  • Cannot access ESXi server via network

    Hello world!

We have a HP C7000 Encolosure with 4 BL460c Gen 8 blades in front size of it. Back size of the C7000, we have 2 SAN Switch, 2 switch HP BLc GbE2c layer 2/3 and 2 Onboard Administrator Module.

Everything is working fine with IP addresses like this:

    OA active:

    IP address: 172.16.0.253

    STANBY OA:

    IP address: 172.16.0.254

    Server Blade BL460c Bay 1:

The IP address of the ILO: 172.16.0.10

    Server Blade BL460c Bay 2:

    The ILO IP address: 172.16.0.11

    BL460c blade Bay 9:

    The ILO IP address: 172.16.0.19

    Server Blade BL460c Bay 10:

    The ILO IP address: 172.16.0.20

We can ping pc that connected to the port of ILO on Onboard Administrator (OA) IP addresses above. (I can it call PC MANAGE?)

Continue, we access OA via Web https://172.16.0.253 use of , then Console integrated to control 4 Server blades. We have mounted image ESXi 5.1 U1 and successfully installed on 4 servers blade.

We manually config IP address on each ESXi Server (like this):

BL460c Server Blade on Bay 1 as server ESXi 1:

    IP address: 10.0.0.11

BL460c Server Blade on Bay 2 as server ESXi 2:

    IP address: 10.0.0.12

BL460c Server Blade on Bay 9 as a server ESXi 9:

    IP address: 10.0.0.19

BL460c Server Blade on 10 Bay as a server ESXi 10:

    IP address: 10.0.0.20

Now we can ping server to another server ESXi ESXi 1. I mean 4 Blade Server can ping together.

    BUT:

-We can not ping servers to blade PC of manage (that PC connect to the port of ILO on OSTEOARTHRITIS. In this scene, MANAGE PCs has the IP 172.16.0.100/16)

-We unplug the network cable from the port of iLO, then connect it to the port number 24 on HP BLc GbE2c LY 2/3 switch, then address IP of the PC to MANAGE the 10.0.0.100/24 value. Always the same, can only access servers

Can someone explain to me how to access this server (ping, http, etc...). Do we have to config switch HP BLc GbE2c LY 2/3? We read many many guide on the HP website, but they have not mentioned about routing or switch to configure

    Thanks in advance!

    It's my mistake!

My servers have 2 connections FlexLOM. That a connection has been enabled for 'network management' in ESXi. I do not understand, then I activated 2 connections. That cause outside the network can not access them.

I just disabled a single connection and everything works perfectly.

    I thank everyone!

What you ask is impossible. Oracle Forms is designed to interact specifically with the Oracle database. You can access the other tables in the database in an Oracle using Oracle heterogeneous Services database, but right ODBC is no longer supported.

  • Fedora to access VMware server 2 web

    Hello

I had problems with the interface web vmware server 2. When I first install vmware server 2 on a clean system, it works fine. However, after a reboot, the web interface is more accessible to the general public.

    When I do

    "netstat - anp |" grep vm ' I see port 902 listening however ports 8222 and 8333.

SELInux is disabled, I also turned to IPtables and ip6tables as well as fedora firewall.

I tried rerun vmware - config.pl, however this does not resolve the issue. I also tried to restart the management interface and that does not work either.

    I use a 64-bit version of vmware.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I had same problem - Fedora 14 64 bit & vmware 2.0.2... and nothing on google :-/

Because I have not found a solution for this problem, so I wrote this post (my first btw :-))

After you install vmware (and patch before), everything works well before the first server to restart. After reboot - web access (port 8222 & 8333) has not worked.

    For me, it has worked:

    (1) check if vmware - spend is running (when vmware service is started):

    # ps to the | grep vmware - pass

    --------------------------

    root of 1752 0.0 0.6 50760 225708?        SSL 14:36 0:01 / usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-hostd - a d u - /etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml

    (2) If vmware - spend does not, try to run vmware - pass manually (without the-d (demon) parameter):

    # / usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-hostd - a u /etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml

    --------------------------

(there was no mistake as.. libvmomi.so.1.0: no such file or directory)

    (3) copy (or link) libraries starting from/usr/lib/vmware/vmacore/and/usr/lib/vmware/lib/to /lib64/

    # cp /usr/lib/vmware/vmacore/libvmomi.so.1.0 /lib64/

    # cp /usr/lib/vmware/vmacore/libvmacore.so.1.0 /lib64/

    # cp /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libexpat.so.0/libexpat.so.0 /lib64/

    (4) just try to restart the vmware service or server; I had to run vmware - config.pl new - vmware crashed.

If this isn't the case, vmware - always come running after you restart, try to rerun manually and wait minute (if it is started).

I already had virtual machine in vmware, so I got another problem...

VMware-get started, but just for a minute. After a minute, he wrote something as... out of memory. I tried to rename my vm and vmware has worked well (WebAccess Inc.) ...

    6) Rename the library libxml2 vmware based

    >

SSH is not a technology allowing to connect to databases.

You will need to install an Oracle client on the Linux server, implemented a tnsnames.ora file that includes the necessary connection information for the database of Windows Server.

See the Linux 11 g Client install Guides here - http://www.oracle.com/pls/db111/portal.portal_db?selected=11&frame=

Then read through the 11 g Net Services (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/network.111/b28316/toc.htm) Administrator's Guide for an overview of connectivity.

  • List of all Oracle Server databases

    PEX
    I have a few questions.

    1. in Sql Server, we can use sp_databases stored procedure to list all the databases on the server. Is there any kind of functionality that will allow me to list all databses to an oracle server.

2 to connect to an oracle server using visual studio is easy if we have tnsnames.ora but if we don't have it, it is a must to use the format of the alias in the Data Source property, while we create the connection string.
    Thank you

So if I can't provide data bases, and what I understand of your responses, it should be possible to enumerate all the instances running on the server. In the affirmative, please let me know how do or direct me to the correct c# classes that will allow me to list all instances.
The idea is that I want for all servers in the network from the list, and then select the a specific server. From this specific server, I want to list all running instances. thansks

Implementations are not the same. Pick up the guide of the Concepts of http://tahiti.oracle.com (and use the site to access the Documentation in general).

In Oracle, you have a database (logical), not referenced by name, unlike the MSSS2005 which uses a database.schema.object structure naming. There is a SYS schema, without system databases each with their own schema sys etc. Of course, there are many, many more differences. Welcome to a new world! :)
