  • External access to my computer by some for people with problems to which they feel may be due to a problem of Microsoft.

In February, I received a phone call announcing that he was a Department of Windows software specializes in the examination of the problems I could be hard and try to find solutions.  Asked me, after a long sales pitch, go to my computer and with them, find a few concerns I had with.  This resulted in giving them access to my keyboard and the computer.  They responded by showing some recent files in which there was a record of the unknown parties and their attempts.

Once a land sale noted that they could solve these problems on this computer and on two other computers in my house for the sum of $350 per year. It sounded attractive and I "bit". Over the next few days, I could see the activity, but in some cases, the problem worsened. The second day an additional $ 250 has been asked and I foolishly allowed.  However, a week later had flown two additional transactions of $350 and $250 on my account.  I immediately went to my Bank to start a process to stop the payment of these fees and to investigate their origin.

Since then I have received many calls, trying to make me to authorize their making more work.  I refused to play this game.,.

What I'm trying to determine is if their access to my pc and access to private definitely files blocked?

    Thanks for any help.

The damage is already done.  It is never a good idea to allow remote access.  At first I would run a malware scan with malwarebytes.  If you have financial information on computers I would you banks and change your passwords

The only way to ensure that you are not infected, is to re - install the operating system after a format.  Otherwise, we have no way of knowing what they were doing to computers.

They already have you credit card numbers.

In short, there is no way to block them without the re - install and it's kind of closing the barn door after the horse has disappeared.

Please download the free version of Malwarebytes.
    Update immediately.
Do a full scan of the system
Let us know the results at the end.

  • Several points of access Cisco Aironet 1131AG and same SSID?

We have several Cisco Aironet 1131AG, all wired devices on a switch (2560) Cisco L2 which is connected to the L3 switch (3550). We have assigned a VLAN for access point to the L3 switch which acts as a vtp Server (L2 switch is vtp client). All the ap will have a static ip address and all will have the same SSID and no security, and they will use several channels (e.g. 1,6,11).  They will work in 3 floors for a roaming wireless client. We not using any wireless controller.

So my question is this: how to configure the same APs-all with a different ip address, can we use L3 switch to create the dhcp server to access points VLAN (pool for guests) and the rest of the static ip address for the ap? One of the ap can be WDS and on the same radius server local time with users without Cisco Secure ACS or similar controller or I did not understand this very well :-). I followed the guide http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/12.3_2_JA/configuration/guide/s32roamg.html for WDS where Abu Cisco ACS part is a problem, so I can use the same ap as a Local authenticator as a guide http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/12.3_4_JA/configuration/guide/s34local.html#wp1035723.

    Thank you very much...

Well, just so you know, WDS, and local RADIUS authentication is necessary only if you use authentication on your wireless connection.  You say that you do not plan to use security, so it's not necessary.  However, I highly recommend at least using a simple WPA2-PSK to lock your connection, otherwise you might end up giving free Internet access at best and at worst you could give access to the computers and corporate servers.  If you want to reuse a 802. 1 x or WPA authentication method, then Yes, you can use an AP as RADIUS and to improve WDS Server authenticated to roaming, but this is much more limited than the use of a Cisco ACS.

As for your other questions, Yes, your APs can all be configured the same except for at least three settings: IP address, hostname, and channel.  Configure your static IP addresses on the interface of the PA BVI1.  Do not place it on the Radio or Ethernet interfaces, because if one of these interfaces goes down, you lose the ability to configure the AP, so it's best to use the BVI1 interface.

And Yes, configure a DHCP scope for your customers on your L3 switch is good design, or you can also use your DHCP server on a different subnet by using the command of support-ip address on the interface of L3.  I hope this helps!  Let me know if you need help to set all this up.

    Merry Christmas!

  • Site to Site VPN between ISR4331(Data Center) and 25 branches with RV042 and dynamic public IP address

Hi, we just got router ISR4331. We will use this router to our datacenter as pummel hub. Not to mention that it will be the static IP address. • A Site to remote access VPN behind the same public IP address

Got a problem quite stupid.  We have a VPN from Site to Site configured for a new data center, which will be responsible for general traffic management.  In addition, some users need to use use a VPN client to access certain areas.  The firewall at the Office only has a public IP address, so the two will come to the Site to Site VPN for remote access from the same source.

This seems a problem with legacy Cisco VPN clients because encryption card matches the entry VPN site-to-site, even if they use VPN clients.  A good/simple solution to solve this problem?

Some newspapers (198.18.85.23) is the address public IP for the office and the tom.jones is the user.  192.168.1.0/24 is the pool of the VPN client.

    Hello

Don't know if this will work, but you can try the following configuration (with the rest of the VPN configuration)

list-access CLIENT VPN ip enable any 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

card crypto OUTSIDE_map 4 is the VPN CLIENT address

    card crypto OUTSIDE_map 4 set peer 198.18.85.23

    card crypto OUTSIDE_map 4 set ikev1 transform-set ESP-AES-128-SHA ESP-3DES-SHA

The idea would be to have the ACL matches the VPN full Tunnel that the Client attempts to establish. (destination "any" from the point of view of the customer, the ASAs view source)

I tested briefly on my own SAA by connecting from an IP address to which the ASA offers free VPN in L2L. But as I don't have the operational L2L VPN, I can't really verify the VPN L2L at the moment. Thus, certain risks may be involved if you can afford it.

  • How to completely disable access to my computer wireless?

I don't want only a wired connection wireless access to my computer

My computer has been compromised by a person with no morality and no politeness. I want to eliminate the possibility of wireless access. I intend to use the DSL only. My computer has a factory wireless adapter. can I uninstall it and retain Internet connectivity? the DSL seems to work very well. Please notify. I need to discourage their kind of irresponsible damage, until someone else has the same misfortune.      Thank you for your efforts, B.T.T.

You don't need to uninstall anything, if you do want to use wireless, you could just disable in your laptop, there should be a key turns off wireless. In addition, keep your system updated and use anti-virus software, check the center of the action, or the Windows Security Center to see it is something else you should consider.

  • Networking of 4 computers together; Special access from 1 computer to one 5th in another working group.

Hey everyone, I had a question on networks linked to the sharing of files and folders in XP.  I have 4 Professional computers on the same network.  Desktop of the CEO needs access to a 5th computer connected to the same router/switch, but on a different working group. I want to keep computer Chief Executive Officer, connected to the main network, but also have access to files and folders on the computer of 5th.  Is there a way to do this?  If yes how can I to do?  His small business, but he needs to access certain files and programs on both networks.

If I understand correctly, you want only the head of the it Department to access the 5th computer.  If the 5th computer has Windows XP Professional, you can disable simple file sharing.  Then, only a user with an account on the computer 5 will be able to access.  Ron Lowe and I wrote a web page with all the details: Windows XP Professional file sharing .

My finger print security program that I just downloaded has been overrided by another computer already and paticuliar Microsoft itself. Whenever I used to try to discuss with my ISP, my computer would just break and I'm sure this will start shortly after. Thank you

Backup your data and do a restore clean factory/install of Windows. It would be wise to have a local professional with a good reputation, this for you and also to come on-site to ensure that your network is secure. Do not use a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place. If you choose not to have a professional arrived, then you need to determine how your computer has been compromised and fix this hole. It could be someone who has physical access to the machine, a wireless network that has been set up not securely, malware, or other factors that we have no way to know from here. Hi Florence.

The following thread seems to be a similar problem. Take a look at the troubleshooting inside and see if it helps with your problem:
    I hope this helps.
  • Access to the computer monitor

I have several people who live in my house and am looking for a way to tell if my computer has been consulted at any time that I'm not in the House.  Like when I get home from work for example.

If you're concerned only standard user accounts, you can implement Parental control with reports and audit to see what has happened with each account. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/95139-parental-controls-setup-use.html.

Unfortunately, if they are a s Adminitrator account, they can cancel the Parental control settings (and these controls do not work on administrators in any case) and there is not a lot you can do about it except to use a password and change from time to time.

    ====================================================================================================================================

Things to check to see if someone has used your computer:

Go to C:\Users\\Recent for each account and add a column (by right-clicking on the hearder and clicking more) called access Date and sort the folder in this column and see if the most recently accessed files were by you if you don't recognize some of them - while they have been consulted so that you weren't there (somehow).

Go to Internet Explorer and click on the Favorites button to the left on the toolbar that displays the tabs of the opened page and then click on the history button and see where this user is that day. If they have places you visit, then anyone else on the internet in this account.  Unfortunately, as with recent items, you must verify each account that information is stored separately (in fact, if you implement strong parental control, you can count on these reports for standard users and everything you need to check are administrator accounts).

Go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / event handler and see what are the events occurred while you were not.  If there are events involving the access or opening files, networks, or other things that you did not and should not be done while the computer was off, then someone in the less active on the computer.  You can't easily tell what they did with it from here, but you can identify certain activities (and the fact that she was turned on may be enough evidence to find someone to confess).

    =====================================================================================================================================

What you really need to do is Add a startup password, which allows anyone access to any account or same boot without first entering the startup password.  If someone figures out, they can get past but it is difficult to do and it's another layer of protection.  http://www.ehow.com/how_2158738_add-power-password-computer.html.  It's not a guarantee, but it is a safety.

It is guaranteed real means can't do that because there is too much way around surveillance or blocks.  What are the best options I can suggest.  There may be 3 third-party programs that do a better job, but they can also be circumvented, and I guess that there is a limit to how well take something like that.  If you're really worried about access to your data, get an external hard drive and move all your data on that drive and take it with you to work.  Then all they can do is use the computer (if they can cross the extra security, I have proposed) but your privacy will be protected.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Makes me crazy!

State of the computer 1: Norton 360 on. Wired Ethernet for Linksys router. This Computer Configuration initially homegroup. User name and password on both machines. 2 computer can see this machine as expected - sweet!

State of the computer 2: uninstalled Norton 360. Windows Firewall is off. Wired Ethernet for Linksys router. User name and password on both machines. This computer cannot be seen by computer 1 grrrrr!

I left home group on both machines several times without success. Several reboots. Convenience stores are worthless. I tried a lot of things posted on this forum and others. My Win 7 machines see my XP machines without problem. All computers in the same workgroup. I can ping computer 2 1 computer and vice versa.

Earlier this week, it's the opposite problem. 2 computer could not see Computer1. Even old 'advanced sharing' has failed. After 3 days of forums and try things, I reinstalled Win 7 on both computers and everything was fine. Very painful and I am reluctant to reinstall all my software until this problem is fixed permanently.

Does anyone have a short solution to reinstall Win 7?

Any ideas why it continues to be? I set up a wireless network first network printer, and then wired, then to the USB. I uninstalled all the software of printer, but that did not help.

    Hi Jack_W,

Since you are able to see and access computer 2 1 computer and unable to see the computer from computer 1 2. I suggest you first with the computer to check if network discovery is enabled on the computer.

    To turn on network discovery

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click network and sharing Center, and then in the left pane, click change advanced sharing settings.

    2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.

    3. If network discovery is off, under the Discovery Network, click turn on network discovery, and then click save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Error when you try to play audio files: Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file may be in use, you won't have access to the computer where the file is stored

Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file may be in use, you won't have access to the computer on which the file is stored, or your proxy settings are may not be incorrect.

I hope someone can help on Win 7 64 bit, music is taken on a disk usb2 external hard... I had no problem until today when the message in the title appeared next to each track, with a little red cross.

I already deleted database library as suggested by some of the forums, also disabled the media as a feature of Win 7, rebooted and then re-enabled it.  I also disconnected externally and restarted that as well, I'm also the same mistake with a cd in the cd drive as well.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

This error may occur for one of the following reasons:
The file is currently in use. Close the file and then try again.

You are not allowed to access the location where the file is stored.

Follow these steps to grant all permissions in the folder where the files are stored:
    1. right click on the folder on the external drive and click Properties.
    2. in the Properties window, click on Security tab.
    3. now, click Edit , and then click Add.
    4. now, type everyone in the box and click OK.
    5. check the full control box.
    6. click on apply and then click OK.

You can also try the mentioned below as follows:

    1. click on start.
    2. go in Control Panel.
    3. Select "SOUND".
    4. double-click on speakers.
    5. click on the tab advanced and then uncheck the enable audio enhancements.

    Kind regards
