Access the "Partition HP_RCOVERY aka D:\

Hello my fellow forum members! : I have the HP Pavilion Elite HPE 410y

After 3 years, I find that is not the recovery media that I brought back the 2011 Christmas Eve

When I tried to reinstall everything the Recovery Manager indicated in red there is no partition

However, depending on the programming, which shows the optical & hard disks (C:\, D:\ E:\ & F:\ it seems than the D:\ HP_RECOVERY is always there "1.45 GB free 12.1 GB partition

I would like to know what to do step by step so that I can reinstall & make a backup of virginal Virgin via my 1 TB external hard drive

& Superb backup Win 7 & imaging app

The reason is; I have problems with some of my fonts through the fonts Porfolio v.1.0 of Summitsoft; 2010 in interaction with the Lightscribe Template Labeler

Fancier fonts (Caravel, Americano, et.al Suzume) do not appear when I want to burn a drawing on the support

I want to order new recovery of HP & surgeons computer disks, but two of them won't deal with you, unless you have a credit card

given what is happening to the target, I'm very reluctant, nervous and reluctant to go this route

In addition, I'm not online home & can't do to my library

I think they cut the bandwidth, because I was able to download SP1 back in February 2011

I thank everyone at max for doing just that in my name, but also for allowing me to be part of this company since July 2005

Hello RasterBlaster again! : what happens if I downloaded an iso version of Home Premium and then put in the key that I noticed on the COA sticker that works or is it related to the code "tattoo" anchored on the motherboard?

otherwise I think I'll have to find some way or get the commercial full version of Win 7 64 HP

  • Access the Partition on airport Time Capsule 2 TB

I have successfully partitioned my Airport Time Capsule 500 GB for Time Machine backups and a volume of 1.5 TB to store data.  However the 1.5 TB partition is visible in the Finder when a backup Time Machine is running.  I am new to Mac and OSX.  Any help would be appreciated.  I am running OSX 10.11.2.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have successfully partitioned my Airport Time Capsule 500 GB for Time Machine backups and a volume of 1.5 TB to store data.

Actually no, you didn't partition disk of TC... you partitioned the sparsebundle (it's a virtual disk) used by TM... and this is a no... in fact, it's such a big not that I recommend you remove the TM backup by erasing the TC and try again... Make a backup clean fee with TM... and never touch again... It is reserved for the TM.

Create your own file DMG if you insist on storing files in the TC.

To limit the size, it might be possible to set the size of the sparsebundle max but it is not always viable.

    See here the A8.

    http://pondini.org/TM/Time_Capsule.html

Just so that you understand, there is no tool partition a physical drive TC... you have to remove the disc from the CT and partition on a Mac. then put it back in the TC... This is difficult and I guarantee and will lead to continuous errors on the drive with the firmware of TC.

  • Satellite L30 PSL33E - how to access the recovery partition

    Hi all

I have a L30 (psl33e) who has the tact recovery partition, but I can't find how to access.

I don't remember a CD recovery and thought that now zero or F10 key when turn the laptop would allow me to recover the system.

If I need a recovery CD to access the partition then where I'd get that?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ben

    Hello

I think your L30 Sat was not equipped with a HARD drive recovery option and there is therefore no partition of HARD drive recovery!

If your laptop would supports the recovery of HARD drive then it should be able to restore this laptop by pressing the F8 key immediately after that the laptop has been turned on.
Then you can choose the option to fix my computer.

But as I said above, I doubt that this L30 it would support because as far as I know the recovery disk must be sent with the notebook.

If you don t have a recovery disc, then try this site:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

If you will be unable to order the disk using the above Web site then contact ASP in your country to a recovery DVD.

  • Pavilion g series: cannot access the recovery partition & disk do not work

Try to reset the computer to factory since it does not start in Windows.

When I try to enter in recovery "esc then F11" it will just try to load windows. Recovery partition is still there just can't access.

So I try to use disc 5 figure set I did 3 years ago & it starts on the 1st cd, but I get a message saying that the disk is not for this computer.

I'm like what?  This computer rendered & I have the best recollection no changes to anything that should have caused the recovery to think that there is another computer.

Suggestions on what I might have to do in order to recover my computer to the factory?

How can I access the partition recovery from normal mode does not work?

Why the hell does not work my cd?

    I bought the computer again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't return to Windows, even in safe mode.

If this is the case, then you need the recovery media you can perform a factory image recovery.

You can remove the hard drive and connect it to another PC through an external drive enclosure or a usb cable to sata. Which will allow you to copy your important data from the drive to another device of storage for extra security.

  • Latitude E6510 - how I manually access the Dell system recovery partition?

Latitude E6510 - how I manually access the Dell system recovery partition?

    Hi all

My Dell Latitude E6510 came with OEM Win 7 Pro x 64 installed. I am trying to perform a restore of the system to the factory setting.

I tried to access advanced without result Boot Options and pressing F12 during the boot process does not provide me with the option to repair and select the recovery partition, as if it is invisible. If I use the computer management > storage I do not see the hidden partition or if I do Diskpart it is listed.

How the BIOS or the system recognize it to boot from the recovery partition? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply but it appears not the solution you provided helped and I think you are incorrect since my original screenshot has allowed me to see the hidden partition, but I didn't know how to access it.

I got access once I used the app "diskpart" with commands like 'list readers', 'list volume' and 'assign volumes"to access the partition of the content.

Nevertheless, I have found that my recovery media is missing or damaged.

  • OK to format the partition if not the start of the original drive SYSTEM more?

I bought an SSD for my HP Pavilion dv7 and installed as boot drive primary, the upgrade with a new copy of Windows at the same time. I use the original drive in the second slot for data and formatted the original C: partition, but does support does not on the other 3 partitions. I wish I could use at least one primary partition for another OS or as a partition backup. If I want to leave the quiet recovery partition and be able to run the diagnostics, which means SYSTEM... Can the recovery tools if they are not on the boot drive? If so, I can take the SYSTEM partition (the SSD has the active boot partition).

    Hello

Unless the Bios can access the partition HP_TOOLS at startup (which he won't be able to leave readers in the second span), you will lose the ability to run the extended diagnostics and the ability to have the bios flash run on reboot.  The bios will always be able to update, but the flash will run in the Windows environment that has more potential to cause problems.

However, the HP_TOOLS partition can be created on a flash drive or you can simply create it on your SSD - see the document at the link below on this - This is for example and the included download may not be correct for your particular laptop, then you must get this information from your own product page.

  • How to activate the partition of Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire5741G?

I tried to reinstall Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5741 G of girls but it won't restart windows, installation cannot be performed. I can't find the recovery CD I did 3 years ago. Do I need to get a new OS or I can somehow access the partition that is already in the computer. I tried to enable D2D in BIOS, press alt f10 and everything. What should I do?

Hello ErikPx , the better to do a reload of the OS using the hidden partition would be turning the device off, with the power off then back and when you see the Acer logo, hold down the ALT key first then press F10 (1 time) and release both buttons. It should be a message that says that windows is loading files. When you see this and it loads the Acer E-recovery choose the first option.

  • To access large partitioned tables over a database link - traps?

    Hello

We are in the middle of a business acquisition, and I have a question on the use of links to database access efficiently to large tables. There are two distinct geographical database instances, both on Oracle 10.2.0.5 sitting on Linux boxes.

The main forum (PSHR) contains a PeopleSoft HR system and pays and is sitting in our data center.

The secondary instance (HGPAY) runs a payroll application home grown and is in a different datacenter to PSHR.

The requirement is to allow PeopleSoft (PSHR) to display data of payroll (one employee at a time) targeted to the secondary instance.

    For example in HGPAY

    CREATE TABLE MY_PAY_DATA AS
    SELECT TO_CHAR (A.RN, ' 00000000') 'EMP' - it is a figure 8 leading 0 unique identifier
'20110' | TO_CHAR (B.RN) "PAY_PRD" - it is a format of exercise more than fifteen days in the year (01-27)
C.SOME_KEY - it is the element of remuneration being considered - effectively randomly
    , 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' "FILLER1.
    , 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' "FILLER2".
    , 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' "FILLER3".
FROM (SELECT ROWNUM 'RN' FROM DUAL CONNECT BY LEVEL < = 300) has
, (SELECT ROWNUM 'RN' FROM DUAL CONNECT BY LEVEL < = 3) B
(SELECT TRUNC (ABS (DBMS_RANDOM. (Random())) 'SOME_KEY' FROM DUAL CONNECT BY LEVEL < = 300) C
    ORDER OF PAY_PRD, EMP

HGPAY. MY_PAY_DATA is the range partitioned on EMP (approximately 300 employees by partition) and the list below partitioned on PAY_PRD (3 pay periods a secondary partition). I limited the above create statement to represent a sub-partition of data.
Every employee generates an average of 300 lines in this table each pay period. The table has about 180 million lines and all fifteen days more.

    In PSHR

    CREATE VIEW PS_HG_PAY_DATA (MEP, PAY_PRD SOME_KEY FILLER1, FILLER2, FILLER3)
    AS SELECT EMP, PAY_PRD SOME_KEY FILLER1, FILLER2, MY_PAY_DATA@HGPAY FILLER3

PeopleSoft would then generate SQL along the lines of

    SELECT * FROM PS_HG_PAY_DATA WHERE EMP = '00002561' AND PAY_PRD = '201025'

The link between data centers where PSHR and HGPAY sit isn't the best in the world, but I expect dozens of hits per day rather than thousands, so I think that the link must have sufficient bandwidth to meet the requirements.

I tried a quick test on two instances of size production test and it works because it presents the data, when I look at the plan of the explain command that I can see that the remote database is only presenting the relevant secondary partition on PSHR rather than the entire table. Until I get in the back with a "job well done" - y at - it a witch hunt that I am absent using dblink to access the partitioned tables of big?

Yes, it's just. A lot of it depends on exactly what happens in different "oops" scenarios - you are, for example, just burn some CPU extra until someone comes to the DBA and says "my query is slow" or saturating the network has an impact on critical applications or long random queries prevent some maintenance operations of partition.

In my mind, the simplest possible solution (assuming you are using a username that is fixed in the database link) would be to create a profile on HGPAY for user defined for the link of database that set a value LOGICAL_READS_PER_CALL which was large enough to handle any request '' reasonable '' and low enough to quickly kill any session that has tried to do something 'stupid '. Obviously, you have to define 'stupid' in your particular environment where the scope of a 'simple reconciliation report' is not defined. If there is no political problem and you can adjust the values of profile to the wire when you encounter new reports that slowly increase what is considered '' reasonable '' is probably the most straightforward approach. If you have to put in a change request to change the parameter which must be reviewed by the Control Board change at its next quarterly meeting with the outsourced DBA seller, on the other hand, you could turn a report by 30 minutes in 30 hours over 30 days. However, in an ideal world, this is where I would start.

Becomes more complex, you can use the resource manager to kill applications running too long on the wall clock. Since the network will almost certainly the bottleneck, it is probably unlikely that the limitation of the CPU will do much good - probably you can saturate the network with a very small amount of CPU. Limitation in my mind of the network is an additional step in complexity according to the specifics of your situation and what you are competing with.

    Hello

If I remember well, you can install WXP again using two different methods:
-Restoration of created media recovery do you have created following the advice in the manuals?
-Restoration of the drive HARD recovery on page 69 you can find detailed instructions how to proceed.

Do you know why this hidden partition has been created on the HARD drive?

  • How to access the recovery on Satellite A660 partition?

    Help please

I am trying to access my partition recovery on my Satellite A660-18 and I could not find.
I ve done a stupid thing I ve instaled a fresh Win7 to a cd from my friend without touching the hddrecovery partition. Now I have the new copy installed, but I want to go back to the factory one.

It seems from what I ve read on the forums that win7 (being different then the one on the recovery partition) is instaled at present can no longer see the recovery partition (something was delleted when I ve instaled the copy of my friend.).

is there something that I need to replace to start inside or is there a way to fix it?

    Thank you.

    > I ve instaled a fresh Win7 to a cd of my friend
There is no way to start the installation of HARD drive recovery more after doing this.
You have created DVDs of recovery following advice in the document s user manuals?
If this is not the case, only way to still have factory settings is to order original Toshiba recovery disc. You can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    I'm sorry. :(

  • No system boot, how to access the recovery partition?

    Hello
While messing around with win7 and xp (from vista that was preinstalled on my system), I managed to make my computer unbootable.

I made the recovery discs when I came to my computer, but I left with my parents... which is be the other side of the world (literally).

However, I also kept the "recovery partition" intact, I hoped I could start somehow, but I don't know how.
I tried holding down the zero, F2, F8... of other ideas?

If not, is there another way to do it from a live CD? (like the one I currently use to write this message)

    Chris.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to access the files for recovery. It can be done if the laptop has only factory settings. You use updated the system with two operating systems. If you want to have the factory settings again you can have with using the recovery disc only.

I put t know how long it will take but maybe you should communicate with your parents and ask if they can send you the recovery disc as soon as possible.

Otherwise you will have to use the installation disk of Microsoft for clean operating system installation. It can also be good solution for a few days until what you expect of original disc.
