  • Mail.app: S/Mime encrypted attachments do not work under MacOS Sierra

    Hello

I can't send or receive attachments when messages are encrypted with S/Mime since the upgrade to Sierra. Attachments sent and received on a MacOS-El-Capitan is available on El Capitan. But the same messages with attachments is more available on Sierra, as well as new messages with attachments sent from Sierra can be viewed on El Capitan or Sierra. Looks like the handling of encrypted attachments is completely screwed.

The indication for messages with encryption and signature is still flaky and is not consistent.

The indications for encryption and signing is a bug for years. What is interested in someone at Apple Mail.app and S/Mime? It doesn't seem a Herculean task to do things, and it is a core feature.

  • How to send a large file attachment using iCloud mail

I try to send an email with an attachment. The file size is 29.8 and message indicates the size of the file is greater than the limit of 28.5.  I can't find the mailbox. How can I find box mailbox?  Is there anything else I can do?

Are you connect to your iCloud account, when you try to send the attachment of t? So little should be automatic:

Send large attachments by using the mailbox

You can use the mailbox to send files that exceed the maximum size allowed by your ISP email account . Mailbox post large attachments to iCloud, where they are encrypted and stored for 30 days.

    • If you have an iCloud account and you're connected to iCloud when you click on send, mail will automatically send the attachments using the mailbox. Mail attachments do not count against your storage iCloud.
    • If you have not an iCloud account, or if you are not connected, Mail asking you if you want to use the mailbox (always use send, select "no longer request for this account").

If a recipient using Mail in OS X Yosemite or later, attachments are included with your message. For the other beneficiaries, your message includes links to download attachments and their expiry date.

You can activate the mailbox or disable an account. Choose Mail > Preferences, click accounts, select the account, click Advanced, and then select or deselect the option "send large attachments with box.

  • iCloud in app Mail and calendar in Windows 8 account

    Hello!

    I was wondering...
Is it possible to connect my iCloud account for mail and calendar app in Windows 8?

    Thank you!

Followed the instructions and still does not work.  Wanted to try TLS with the outgoing SMTP server but TLS option is not available.  (I had the similar problem with my email Android phone application, I have to use TLS to retrieve messages from iCloud to work.)  "But, TLS is not available on Windows 8 Mail app.)"

I had the same problem, but I just fixed it:

At first, I think that you don't need the iCloud-Panel. Just enter server from Apple as described here, information in settings--> account of your mail app: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864

After that, your inbox should already work! But in my Situation, I was not able to send mails from my Apple-Mail account. To resolve this problem, I played a bit with the boxes about Athentification settings:

The first area after the Mail-Server address out as something like "Server requires SSL" must be unchecked (!)

The second area referred to as something like 'Server requires athentification' you have to check (!)

After that, your Apple account should work in the application Mail in Windows 8!

    Good luck! ;)

  • Why my iCloud MAIL continue to send ALERTS

In general, I use GMAIL for my contacts, calendars, and mail.  In my calendar, I usually set reminders of upcoming events.  At the same time that I get my view of Google Calendar, I also receive an ALERT that is generated from my e-mail, from [email protected] .

    -Why is this happening?

-How can I stop it from happening?

I never use my Apple mail or my iCloud account to send or receive e-mail, or post something on the calendar.  Thank you.

You will need to check your Google settings for which e-mail addresses are notified. If Google Calendar Notification sends to your iCloud email address, the address must be registered somewhere in the settings.

  • How to disable sending and response activities in El Capitan Mail.app

Window animations in Mail.app could by funny, but when using Mail.app for work that kind of kittenish thing is annoying and time consuming. It was possible to inactivate these animations in earlier versions of the Mac OS - X (see, for example, https://software.com/mac/tweaks/disable-send-and-reply-animations ), but it seems that this tweak does not work with El Capitan.

Is it possible to inactivate the Send and Reply animations in Mail.app version 9.3?

In addition, I would like to have the compose window always appear in the same place, rather than opening up to different locations after the animation.

  • Mail.app says 'Send. '... "when he's not

Mac Book Pro July 2015, last OSX El Capitan.

We confuse mail.app. He often shows a persistent message, like "Send message 28 of 28" in the lower left corner. No way, I sent 28 messages at once. Or "Download x of y messages" when it is already finished.

Is this something that others see it?

    Thank you.

  • Cannot send mail from Windows 8 Mail app

Installed Win8 pro (upgrade to win7 x 64) a few days before and set up the Mail app to work with all my email accounts. I have several: a gmail, an outlook.com and three or four regular POP3/IMAP on mine, hosted domains. The problem is I can't send e-mails from any IMAP accounts or the account of outlook.com. I receive emails OK but sending does not work - they end just the Outbox and then nothing happens.

This doesn't seem to be a problem of parameters - I use the same settings as in my Outlook 2010 client and I chatted with hosting support (they confirmed my settings, each of them). However, I noticed that when manually "sync" I got error messages saying temporary get accounts are 'not available' (top right). This is true for my POP3/IMAP accounts as well as the outlook.com account. May be a temporary problem, however, since I have no problem receiving e-mails.
I used a downloadable apps Win8 mechanic I found here at Microsoft Answers, but he found nothing. And nobody else seems to have this problem (neither here, nor on other forums). What could be wrong?
Any suggestions on how to deal with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping to invest in a Windows Phone 8 later, but I would like to first of all of course e-mail work.

Please wait for the update to be available in different markets. The 16.4.4406.1205 version is the most recent with the fix.

    Added October 17, 2013

8.1 Windows upgrade, Mail App will support invalid server certificates (not match error with CN, untrusted root and expiry of the certificate). This means that the user can temporarily reject the certificate error when connecting to the IMAP/EAS server using the SSL connection. The setting is available jet account-> Settings.

  • Windows 8 Mail App - cannot send mail

In Windows 8, Mail app using all my email accouts, I am unable to send mail.   I can receive, but not send.  Still, the message stuck in the Outbox.  I know how to remove them.  I just want to know how to get them to send.  I already deleted the account and readded and I still have the same question.  I also ran the fix troubleshooting, and that does not help either.  How can I solve this problem?

  • mail app can not send mail

I have Windows 8 64-bit on a computer laptop touchscreen HP. Mail application came pre-installed.
The internet connection on this laptop works very well (its what I use to write this message)
The mail app will RECEIVE mail, but it will not just SEND it. Only, it lies in the Outbox and does nothing, no progress, bar nothing.
It comes to getting the error messages:
"There is a problem sending this message. Please check with your provider for more information. »
"Reconnect to the internet and the synchronization... '. »

As I said, my internet connection is fine.
As far as I see it, there is no way to get to settings of mail to check for what he complains. It would be nice if there was a progress bar or something to show that it does something.

If there are no hoops to jump through to get this thing to work, the procedures are not clearly explained and are not visible.

    Update
: after a long time of trying, a message finally popped up saying that I had to be connected to the Outlook on the web, so I did and this is when 2 of the test emails have been sent.  Regarding the message #3, I always get a message that "there was a problem right now sending messages to . Check with your provider for more information"and it also says to reconnect to the internet, and then try again. And Yes, I was always connected to Outlook on the web when I received this notification. I tried some additional tests, both signed in Outlook and then outside, some with an attachment, some just the text. There are now 5 test messages that app Mail are not sent.

This success appears to be random. Sometimes he will send, most of the time he refused.

I tested again today and included a photo attachment in the email test. It seemed to work fine. I think the problem I had was because the video file originally, I was trying to send was great and for some reason, the Windows 8 messaging application can't seem to manage it, but using mail Web page electronic outlook * can * handle it.

So, try using the Web mail page: mail.live.com and then see if it works. I don't know about whether or not the application will work after that.

  • Windows 8 MAIL APP doesn't send emails

Title: Windows 8 original MAIL APP?

Geeeshhhh... OK, so Windows 8 mail application is extremely upsetting. I'm NOT a tech geek, but I usually tell me things. (1) I want to know where the e-mail settings. (2) I have two messages my Outbox that have sent (and sent and sent and sent...), but they are caught in the trap in my Outbox and can't get out! I can't delete them at all... Please do not throw port numbers to me because I don't know where to look! Should I remove this app and open a gmail account? very frusterating!
    Help!

Those are the only two emails I sent. and no, I made no changes to the system. I just got the machine yesterday.
What I ended up doing (I took the machine to my computer guy) was delete the mail app and Live Mail installation, which works well. 8 app was too much and was not very friendly at all!
    Thank you, though.

  • In the mail app, if I try right click and open the attachments of the JPG files that I received, I get the message 'we are unable to open this file. You want to save and try to open with another application? »

I received an email with 3 accessories, 2 images and 1 PDF.  I am trying to open larger photos and I get the message, "we are unable to open this file.  You want to save and try to open with another application? »

Why can't click a picture in the mail app and have it launch a photo viewing application. ?

What you need to do is to go to control panel > programs > by default of the programs > set your default programs. Or search for programs by default, which must raise I have right as well (just start typing on the splash screen or slide from left to right and click on the search button). Go to the photos and select set this program as default. This fixed it for me.

I used the Windows Mail app on my laptop since I bought it in December without any problem.  Yesterday, she stopped mail and is now place these emails in my Outbox when they remain.  After what happened that I correctly sent email from the same account via my phone, iPad and connecting to Yahoo Mail using Internet Explorer.  I contacted the Office response twice and each time they have suggested that there is a problem of Yahoo.  Can someone please provide some assistance?  Thank you!

    Hi Susan,.

This problem may occur if the application is not configured correctly, the application settings are incorrect or if the application is not updated. Let's try these methods to solve the problem.

    3. He is now a trash icon in the upper right corner for each piece of mail stuck!
    4. Don't forget to reactivate your connections

    Another option is also:

    1. Go to your desktop
    2. Right-click on your network wireless in the system tray
    3. Go to open network and sharing Center
    4. Go to view network connections (left)
