Account admin back

On my laptop, I had only one account, and is an administrator account. I got all the permissions I already needed to do something to my computer. Material hardship and so I sent to get fixed. Finally, there was nothing wrong internally. Jump to today, I now have a second account that is the new Admin account and my account was restored to the Standard settings. They had my password to enter the account, why bother with the creation of a second account? Needless to say, I'm getting the race with contact support to resolve this issue. I want to restore the permissions of Directors on my account and delete the extra but it will not allow him. Is there another way to do this that I'm missing? I need Admin Access on my computer and I don't want to have to reinstall all my programs on a second account.  Is it even just a way to transfer to the new account Admin & remove the standard account (now)?

HP Windows 7

Who has managed to hide the account thank you, but I don't see how it's a backup of recovery because it does share all files with any of the other accounts.

Hi QTByte

I should have explained later.

The built-in Administrator account can be used to retrieve if you lose access to the only administrator on the computer user account.

If your normal administrator account is damaged, is removed or is accidentally changed to a Standard account, you will not be able to perform functions on the computer.

In this case, you can start safe mode and hidden built-in Administrator account automatically appear on the Safe Mode login screen.

You can log in with this account in Mode safe and use it to create another administrator account or change a Standard existing on an administrator account account.

I tried to start in safe mode, but it must always a user connects and 2 other users on the system are 'standard' users, so that they have no admin privs.

    Hi NHMan61,

Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

You may have very limited options in this.  First of all, try to perform a startup repair to see if it will fix the error.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc:

    1. Insert the installation disc.

    2. restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

    4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    5. click on repair your computer.

    6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

If this does not work, you may reformat and reinstall Windows.

  • How to remove the built in account Admin

    Hello
I have a problem with my administrator account as some of my applications do not launch integrated but they are themselves launched in my comments (I have converted to the account Admin using the command netplwiz ). But the problem is that now I want to get rid of my built-in Administrator account, but I'm not able to do. So far I have tried to do...

    (1) have all given permission for my guest account by running the command netplwiz .
    (2) open the command prompt on my guest account by getting the problem when I typed /delete "-account name" net user , I got the error "System 5" error. » Who is related to permission problems...
    (3) Control Panel-> user account-> remove account... when I tried to do that, I followed all the instructions until the end... But even after the account is still there...

I don't know exactly what is happening with the 8.1 Windows (my bad decision to upgrade my windows 8 is to blame!). This window is driving me crazy because he is not the only issue I have with Windows 8.

If there is something that remains to be tried it please let me know!
    Thank you

You should never use the built in the administrator account on a regular basis and the guest account is not intended to be used as an administrator account. The two should is disabled and only used when they are needed. You should do yourself a time account administrator and a standard account that should be used for everything that does not require an administrator. Administrator account must be used as needed. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

If Shawn method does not resolve your problem, you can use this method:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you changed the password.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • 12 Firefox on OS Lion does not obtain the crash report on a second account on the past. On the main account (admin) it works very well and also on a third test account.

12 Firefox does not get beyond the crash report. This is a second account (standard). However, it works very well on a third party, as well as on the main one admin account. I reinstalled Firefox, disc repaired permissions and so on, but nothing helped. For the second account .plist file could be damaged? I can't remove it because of permissions so cannot test this. Please notify.

    Try to repair disk permissions:

  • Cannot remove the old user account (admin)

I'm on a MacBook Pro 15 "the retina with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.

I have two admin accounts, an 'old' I do not use and a more current that I use.

I want to delete the 'old' admin account, but I get an error message: "cannot delete user... account error backup in the home folder for this user."

Here are the steps I followed:

    1. System Preferences-> users and groups

    2. click on unlock icon; authentication with username and password

    3. click on the 'old' user account and click on the button "-" to remove it.

    4. Select the option "save the home folder in a disk image", then click on remove the user

    5. for the moment, he says 'delete account '.

6 then I get the error message.

I know that I could choose the second option (in step 4), but I really want to move the old files of the user users users/Deleted.

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated

The first thing that comes to mind is the following: is there enough room for the disc to be created image and put in files? The files are not moved from the reader to the disk image, they are copied. Then for a time in the account to be deleted files will be on the computer two times. The second thing that comes to mind is that there is a directory of the hard drive problem. If you do not have enough space and is my first problem, start the recovery partition and use the directory of disk to repair the drive. And the third thing that might be the cause of the problem is a bad file that cannot be copied to the disk image. It will be difficult to understand because basically, you will need to open each file to find the one that is perhaps incorrect.

  • Messages sent from one account comes back as another

    People:

I recently moved to 10.9 after many years to 10.6... I have multiple e-mail accounts set up in the two [I have a triple boot MBPro 09]... but lately spend most of my time to 10.9.  A number of times where I got Mail highlighted in my account at the top of the page, sent an e-mail to him... but the answer comes back to the account number two, reported as being on the second account?  Check "sent" from the number an account shows that it was sent from this account. but the return/reply came back at number two and marked as ' of' the second.  Both accounts are distinct types and it's a bit embarrassing to have that happen... Since "accounts" do not have "send as" or options "answer to" I don't know how this happens...  In fact a few years ago, my wife running 10.6 MacBook had the same question... do not think that we have never solved this problem... so I think that it is a "known issue" with Mail... do not know what is "known" in this topic.

    Thank you

    e.e.p.

Try mail/preferences/AccountType account information. Select an account, and then access the server of outgoing (SMTP) mail. In the menu drop-down select list server SMPT Edit. Then set up a server for each e-mail account that is associated with the e-mail address. Then go to each account and set this server as the Mail Server outgoing (SMTP). You can click on use only this server if you wish.

Mail/preferences/writing/sending messages - set to the selected mailbox account.

  • 'Creative cloud' is working on a new admin account but not not in old account admin

    Hey community,.

As my "Adobe Creative Cloud" was no longer working (not able to connect) on my old admin account.

Adobe told me to create a new admin on 'El Capitan' account.

Working on the new creative cloud account.

(Adobe told me that there is a configuration problem on the old account)

    I would like to know

    • How can I detect what's the difference in configuration between the two account?
      or
    • How can I migrate all the settings and my old account to the new facilities?

    Purpose:
I have a different software on my old account that I use for my work; VMware Fusion 8, different browsers, printer software, tools etc.)

    And also the settings...

(I obviously don't want to use my old account for everything and have to switch to the new account just for the creative cloud...)

    Plan:

I can either migrate all the settings from the old account to the new or detect the problem in configuration in my old account.

    Kind regards

Adobe Creative Cloud ran after the new update of El Capitan.

  • I have 2 accounts admin and want one removed. Don't let me do one, but not the other?

My Admin account, that I had from the beginning which is password protected and the Moose is can be removed.

The second admin account that has been created and has no password can be removed... just the origanl one maybe?

Has always been my understanding that you should always have at least two accounts on your system administrator.

As a regular very knowledgeable of this forum has compared to him, it's like having a car with a single key, what do you do if you lose this one key? Basically you're toward the top of the proverbial Creek.

It's the same with only have a single administrator account, what should you do if your admin account is damaged?

My thoughts are that it is much better to prevent than cure.

    Kind regards

  • Thouch Tablet mouse freeze ONLY into account Admin

I have a new laptop LG with Windows Vista. When I want in my administrator account my mouse works for a few seconds while loading, but as soon as he's done loading it will freeze. But when I connect to my account of comments it works fine. What continues?

    Hello Confussedgirl,

    Thank you for posting.

We will try to restart you PC in safe mode, and then try to connect to your admin account to see if your touchpad works.  If it works in safe mode then a program that you have installed under your admin profile is the problem.  Then, you can use safe mode to remove the last program that was installed before you start to have problems.  These are just suggestions on how to narrow the problem.

Here are the steps to start your computer in safe mode.

Safe mode is useful for troubleshooting problems with programs and drivers that might not start correctly, or that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. If a problem does not reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic as possible cause device drivers. If a program recently installed, device, or driver prevents Windows from running correctly, you can start your computer in safe mode, and then remove the program that is causing the problem.

    1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the button start , click the arrow next to the button lock , then click on restart.

    2. Do one of the following:

      • If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

      • If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

    3. In the display Advanced Startup Options, use the arrow keys to select the option of safe mode you want and press ENTER. For more information about the options, see startup options (including safe mode).

    4. Log your computer with a user account with administrator rights.

When your computer is in safe mode, you will see marked Safe Mode in the corners of the screen. To leave safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.

Please let me now if this helps you.
