Accuracy of the speed of the cpu of the Simulator

I have a camera on my way to the test, but I'm curious to know if the speed of the cpu of the Simulator is even close to accurate.  I have a code displaying large images which works well on the Simulator, but I have a feeling he's going to get bogged down on the device.

Please let me know if anyone has experience with applications that are running at a different speed on device vs. Simulator.

Thank you!

I don't know anything about the internals, but my own tests indicate that there is no relationship between performance on the Simulator and the device. Things like processing I/O vs. CPU do not have the same proportions, so you can not really see it. For features (it works) the Simulator is very good, of course.

  • accuracy of the module C-9203

    The OR the page for the C 9203 module indicates an accuracy of 0.049 my over a range of 0-20 my.  (or approx. 800 mode mA-20 + 20). Is it a typing mistake or is this really not very accurate module?

    Manual doesn't mention all this precision, but evokes rather factors such as offset and noise of entry from Ridge to Ridge and "INL" on a scale of the LSB.

    Hi aartjan,.

    The operating instructions that you have linked gives the specifications of accuracy in the tables on the value of pages 12-13 as a percent of playback (gain error) and one percent of the range (offset error). Using the values in the first table for unipolar range, you will see that the values calibrated for the device will be ±0.18% of reading and ± 0.06% of the range, with the range in 21.5 my. This corresponds to an accuracy of 0,0018 * 20mA + 0.0006 * 21, 5mA = 0.049mA in the worst cases. It lists the typical calibrated values in ±0.04 reading % and ±0. 02 percent in unipolar mode. By looking at the values max calibrated table for bipolar mode would produce a precision of 0.002 * 20mA + 0.0009 * 43mA = 0.079mA. Hope this helps,

  • control of the numerical accuracy on the axis of a line chart

    Hi people.

    A simple thing, that I can't get to occur. I have an application that draws two digital axis in a chart. I need to check the accuracy of the displayed values on the axis; That is, if the value is floating point, for example, I want to only display two decimal places as in '%2 .2f' if it were C or something like. I can't understand how to do this in JavaFX (I use 2.2). I saw the "setTickLabelFormatter", but I don't understand how to use it. He wants an instance of a "stringConverter' and I don't understand how to use it. someone can give me a detailed example of the use of setTicklabelFormatter to define, say, 2.2f precision?

    Thank you.

    Something like this should work:

            yAxis.setTickLabelFormatter(new StringConverter() {

                   @Override
                   public Number fromString(String string) {
                        return Double.parseDouble(string);
                   }

                   @Override
                   public String toString(Number value) {
                        return String.format("%2.2f", value.doubleValue());
                   }

            });

  • accuracy of the histogram

    Hi, I have a question about the accuracy of the endpoint of histogram values.

    Endpoint histogram values are normalized to the default double precision that corresponds to 15 decimal digits. Is it possible to increase this value?
    I ask this question because we struggle to collect histograms for a column that contains 18 numbers. After collecting the histograms, the endpoint values seen in dba_histograms are truncated after 15 digits resulting from bad estimates CBO and poor execution plans.

    I was also thinking to transform the number of varchar2 columns (18) and then let the application do a conversion in number (since Oracle properly treats the 32 when calculating histograms byte strings, as you mentioned).

    Andreas,

    using my test case, I can confirm that in 10.2.0.1/3 the histogram works when you store the number as a character, even if implicit conversion of TO_NUMBER is applied. By "works", I mean that the optimizer can use the histogram information to arrive at a correct cardinality estimate, which is not the case when I use the original number data type for the same data (precision > 15). I used a character set of database-byte, multibyte character sets could lead to different results, due to the limitation of 32 bytes (it is 32 bytes, not characters, by the way, I was not sure of in my previous post).

    So it could be useful to evaluate, but you must also be aware of the implications of the use of a data type "daft". One of the most important threats is obviously that the implicit conversion is based on the NLS client settings, so you might find yourself with clients where statements fail due to errors of conversion if they have a different NLS parameter of one who has stored the data in the database.

    You can try to reset the Simulator, but I think it's just the default value for the last type of device used.

  • Control the simulation time to align the time system

    Good so maybe it's blindingly obvious or just simply a ridiculous question but here goes:

    I run a dll that I produced from a .mdl file. My goal (among others!) is to get the dynamic response of the exact model of 'real world' calendar (date system). The tuning for the appearance of the control of this model is based on the duration of simulation with produced in simulink and so it is desirable for me to define the duration of the simulation to run when the system.

    The problem I have, if you open the workspace and produce a template control, the simulation shown time is much faster than the time system.

    For example, one iteration of the model takes a fraction of a second. What I imagine happens, it is immediately restart (and progress of a time step). I guess I want the model to wait until it is in harmony with the system time before iterate again.

    Is there a way to solve this problem, and do anyone know if this problem will be resolved in Simulink or Veristand 2009.

    Any information would be appeciated, my trawl of the help files OR have not really answered the questions yet good

    Thank you
    James

    The models are running in sync with the rest of the system. Unless you specify a decimation factor for your different model of 1 for each tick of the primary control loop your model put once, too. The difference between the model and system duration that you see is due to the fact that the model time is based on its time not Delta T compiled, not any of the wall clock time. Every time that the model is Ticktock, it adds its own Delta T to its operation time string.

    The time channel system is based on the Delta T of the primary control loop. Thus, it corresponds with the rate you specified the system to run at. If these Delta Ts are the same, are aligned at the same time. If you want the time to model to match an actual wall clock time, you can adjust the flow of the loop of the primary control loop to match the Delta T, or adjust the factor of the decimation of the model so that it gets only checked once for every N the primary control loop iterations.

    Dear Susan!

    I took a glance on your application.

    It's really good, but the calculation of the effective measures should not be implemented in the Simulation of control loop, since the calculation will be dune for each point this may require Ness on the graphical indicator, when you run the code.

    I made a few changes and used Uilities int Simulation palette palette function of collector . This function allows to collect data and do the treatment on it, the end of the simulation.

    Please find attached code.

  • Multisim 12 - by clicking on the button "stop the simulation", does not seem to turn off the circuit

    Greetings.

    I recently installed 12 Multisim and have not changed the basic operational parameters, I know...

    Shortly after installation, the application is an update.

    Your help is apprecaited to understand what is happening...

    Steps to recreate:

    1. start multisim.

    2. open a very basic circuit that includes a battery 10V with the ground, a lamp, a voltmeter between the lamp and an ammeter in series.

    3. use 'switch' at the top right of the appliation multisim window to run the simulation.

    4 lamp shows a 'enlightenment' and voltmeter indicates 10V and ammeter indicates .1a circuit.

    5. use the switch to stop the simulation.

    6. no change in the circuit or lighting of the lamp measures.

    7. same results if the simulation starts the arrow and the red square are used to start and stop.

    If I close it and reopen it circuit, the circuit begins in the OFF state, but will not OFF If when you select stop simulation.

    This is the case with several circuits, those provided by the College and the other that I created based on the same design.

    Multisim restarting has no effect to correct this observation.

    It doesn't seem normal that when the simulation running, values or apparent lamp lighting does not change.  The simulation doesn't have to go back to the start state (OFF) when I stop the simulation?

    I captured the homerun status after stopping the simulation.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Zan

    Hi zanzarista,

    Multisim retains the values for everything in the circuit when the simulation is stopped. Which means that you are able to view the values on your instruments (such as multimeters) even after the termination of the simulation. When you start a simulation once again, starts all over again and that's why you see a 0 momentarily.

    It is the way in which the software is intended to work.

    I hope this works.

    Hello Lascarica,

    I noticed that you are using the screw of PID. Gains on these screws are based on TIME instead of GAIN. You should be able to build a PID regulator and vary the gains and then compare the results.
