Acer Aspire 5735Z local only connection to internet

Hi guys,.

My laptop overheating and crashing, so I solved this problem by cleaning the fan. But now is no longer crashing it runs very slowly and there are only a one local internet connection. Diagnosis windows don't know what the problem is and the signal is good/very good, my Tablet and my girlfriends Mac connects very well and mine get used so I don't know what could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

If you know when it has stopped working, you can try to restore to a point in time just before he stopped.

Otherwise, it can be quite difficult to determine what prevents it from working.

As you said it works safe mode, it is not a hardware problem.

Usually, I suggest that, in this case, it is easier to restore the system to the factory settings, in order to eliminate any software problem.

It would necesitate that you back up all data on the system.

You must set up a wireless internet connection in the network as well as the connection sharing normal LAN wireless and connect to it as well as the local connection.  If you don't do this, you will not have an internet connection.  You need both.  You must also enable some features in the main area sharing network to access the internet - they are quite well defined.  If I were you, I remove all wireless Vista machine and set up from scratch.  I would like to even re - install the wireless network card drivers /, firmware or software just to be safe.

  • I only 'local only' connection, does anyone know a real solution that works?

    Hello

My computer is a Dell XPS M1330 on Vista.
Recently, I have noticed my wifi says identification or connected only local connection.
Because this came I was not able to connect to any wireless network.
I tried to connect directly via cable ethernet... still the same
Even my 3 G Dongle says the same thing.
The router works well because I use another computer on it, cables etc. all well tested okay with other computers.
The computer worked fine on the router until the router is a D-Link router.
I am pleased that the router is not the problem as all of the other computers and devices connect very well but I tried factory resetting is still no joy.
I tried drvers off installation and reinstallation on the computer, but that networking does not work on wired, wireless or 3 g dongle I suspect something went wrong somewhere with the computer.
Can someone please suggest a solution.

  • can only connect to internet access using wireless or ethernet cable

I use a computer Windows Vista with Internet Explorer 8.

When I try to connect to the internet from my laptop on a Netgear router I can connect only with limited access via an ethernet cable or wireless. My computer detects and attempts to connect (with complete connection) to the netgear router, but then the prompt appears on the screen, "connection takes longer than usual." Then, it displays "connection failure.

I tried to use all the recommended solutions such as move the computer to a different location, automatically get new ip settings, etc... without success.

In the past, I could access the internet without problems and the full connection and wonder if my college internet connection may have screwed up the settings.

  • Acer Aspire One AO751h only detect key 2 GB Ram 1 GB

I recently bought a stick of ram for my AO751h, hoping to get as much life in my old netbook as possible.

The particular stick of ram that I bought was a Kingston 2 GB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 KVR667D2S0/2 gr.

I'm running the stock installation of Windows XP Edition family, upgraded to Service Pack 3, and before and after the upgrade, I see still 0.99 GB detected by Windows in system information.

I ran CPU ID and found similar results.

I did a little research and found that a BIOS update can cause this problem, so I downloaded the latest version for this laptop specific to Acer and flashed.

After reboot, the same problem is prescent, and in the BIOS, it detects only 1 GB of ram.

Is there anything else I can do to get my AO751h to recognize that there is full capacity?

The RAM stick, that I bought has been renovated and there is a possibility it could be a relabeled 1 GB RAM stick, I don't have any other phones or computers that accept this RAM to test and see if this is the case.

Anything above the 3204 Bios version to make the visible 2 GB. Unless you have a hardware problem, I suspect memory dimm. Remove the memory and clean the contacts with alcohol and the qtips. Reinstall it and check again.

Amazon has this new dimm for $14 and free shipping.

    Hi Mickey,

    1. What is the brand and model of the Acer laptop?
    2. Have you tried to check if the device is detected in Device Manager?

If you have access to the mouse and the keyboard please try the following steps:

    Method 1:

If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool to solve the problem. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.

Run the tool and troubleshooting hardware devices

    Method 2:

Use Device Manager to find the hardware changes.

    Note:

Use Device Manager to find the hardware changes. After your computer search the hardware changes, it can recognize the USB device connected to the USB port so that you can use the device.

To check the hardware changes, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type Manager of devices in the search box of start and press ENTER.
In Device Manager, click on your computer so that it appears highlighted.
    b. click Action and then click Scan for hardware changes.
    c. check the USB device to see if it works.
    d. restart the computer.

    Method 3:

Download the drivers using another computer by visiting the manufacturer's website save it to a location external (USB key) and then install it in the computer in question.

Please post back with the State of the question.

I'm portable computer maintenance of the customer, a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5885, under Vista Home Premium x 86 SP2, with infections by malicious software and internet connection problems. I have managed to get rid of all of its 251 infections and I am now addressing the connectivity problem. I'm unable to achieve on its ethernet or a wireless connection to Internet. The two network status of connections 'Unidentified network', and also ' access: Local only ' all other machines hooked up to my router via CAT5e and some via 802.11 g/n, have excellent speeds with internet connectivity, so I know that the problem is limited to his machine. I tried the following:

Deactivation and reactivation of these two connections: FAIL.

"Diagnose and repair" on the two connections: FAIL.

Under dynamic I.P. type to static/static to the dynamic: FAIL.

Uninstalled all network via Device Manager devices, then restart: FAIL.

  • Desktop connects to the local wifi only, when the netbook to connect to internet

Hello. My netbook and phone connect to wireless internet, no problem with my wifi network. And until recently my desktop computer connected ok too, using a usb adapter. However, I now have a problem. my pc connects to the wireless network, but only locally. Can anyone help please? There must be a setting that I or someone has changed?

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1: I suggest you temporarily disable the antivirus software or firewall and check if it helps:

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Warning: turn off Windows Firewall/antivirus can make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

Method 2: reset the default router and check if this solves the problem:

Next to the electric power plug, there is a pinhole reset button. Remove all the cables from your router except the power cord. Press reset button with a PIN for 10 seconds. Wait 10 seconds then unplug the router. Router will be at default values, reinstall using the software that came with the router. You may need to reinstall the software of NIC as well. Then write your password on a piece of tape and stick it to your router.

  • The Internet connects 'local only' after the regular updates?

    Hello

My computer has installed its regular updates about a week ago and since then, the internet has had connection problems. It connects to the ordinary router, but it is "local only" and will not fully connect to the internet. The only solution I found to the problem is that my owner to restart the router, which is not the most convenient thing to do whenever I turn on my computer. I have windows vista with all standard Internet programs, and I use chrome. I also have a second windows computer that exposes the same problem, which is running windows 7, which has also installed updates. My roommate's computer is a Mac and is not at all account of all the problems.

    Hello kim90

Have you tried to use system restore to before it started? If this isn't the case, then follow the steps listed in the link below. I hope this helps.
