  After installation win 10 my Acer Aspire S7-392 sometimes will not turn off. Especially if my Acer has sat for awhile. Also when I have the office close and then open the lid, the computer does not (black screen).   I FINALLY found the solution to the problem of the power-off/sleep;

  Go to the Control Panel

  Click devices

  Under System devices to find... Intel Management Engine Interface

  click it, and then right-click to find real estate

  DRiver , it will tell you what version you have.

  Mine was worm. 11 - who is the culprit.

  I chose to roll back the driver to 9.5.xx

  Once I did this back roller... I have more the shutdown problem.

  I have a recurring problem with my Apire 7750 G - while the laptop is turned on and the charger is connected, the battery charge for 5 minutes and then both the power light and seeing the flashing battery and load stops. If I disconnect the charger and plug it in again, the battery starts charging again but stops again in 30 seconds, with the same problem.

  I just want to know what is the cause of this problem, as its very frustrating indeed. The laptop will charge very well while turned off. I can use the laptop for about 1 hour on battery fully charged, so I don't think it's a problem with the battery. Can someone shed light on this please?

  Hard to tell from a distance. Could be the loosening of a screw, a bracelet of ground or metal leaves touching a record of the Board of Directors, a misaligned or not completely seated connector, - any number of possibilities. If it was mine, I remove the back cover and closely check in the vicinity of the power plug, tighten the screw, re-seat all accessible connectors like the fan on the CPU - some systems detect fan connectivity issues and power down even if the temperature is not enough high to trigger active cooling. Use your good judgment and common sense in the search of inside things that aren't quite right.

  My laptop overheating and crashing, so I solved this problem by cleaning the fan. But now is no longer crashing it runs very slowly and there are only a one local internet connection.   I have am acer aspire 5050-3371 laptop with windows vista and all available updates currently installed.  My problem is that whenever the battery is installed, you will need to press several times for the password several times before that they will appear on the password entry screen.  given that the actual characters do not show do not know if the correct letters are engtered.  In addition if I remove the battery from the laptop the problem goes away.  You can type the easiily password and the system accepts it.  I tried to get help this problm of the Technical Support desk with Acer was cut when they determned that the laptop was not under warranty.  Any ideas for solving this problem?

  My only suggestion is to go on the manufacturer's site and buy a replacement battery.
  The problem is: it could be a bad connection between the battery and the laptop, in which case, you could have bought a new battery for nothing.

  So my Acer Aspire 571 e5 which ive been using for about 3 days just had a windows update. Now, it starts well but I get a black screen when I connect. However, some programs are always able to see and popup randomly. I also tried to go into my bIOS, but it asks for a password that I don't know.

  If you press CTRL + ALT + DELETE you are able to open the Task Manager?

  (1) once you are on the screen of login password, press on and hold down the SHIFT key and click on the power icon (lower right corner of the screen) and restart your computer... (Remember do not type a password)
  (2) you will get advance options. Click on troubleshoot---> advanced---> start---> restart settings---> and select SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING

  (3) once in office in safe mode, open Device Manager, click on the video card, right-click on it and choose unisntall

  (4) restart and check if it works

  Well, in regards to the power, I think that a 220 watt power supply will do. Regarding the size, if you live in America, I take to Tiger Direct and let them help you. They are very friendly and intelligent. Help most basic is free. It wouldn't hurt.

  They carry several alternative energy supplies. They wear very probably one you need.

  A few weeks ago, my laptop Acer Aspire R14 went totally blank. When I unplugged the power cord, it started right to the top, but at the moment where I plugged the power cord back inside would be closed.
