Acrobat 9 Pro, create an interactive pdf for distribution of electronic mail by someone else

I have created an interactive pdf with all fields in the correct form and present the button above. The action that I chose for the submit button was "attached to an e-mail address", but I can't understand how to enter a different from mine. It automatically attaches to my email address. Help! I need to send the form approval and distribution of this person. Thank you!

Hello

Once you have created the button, you set the action as "submit a form". When you add to that, you will be asked to enter the URL. You must type mailto: follow-up to the e-mail address you want the end user to send it to. For example, if your client/colleague wants the form to be sent to them and their email address is [email protected] then you would enter

mailto:[email protected]

in the URL box. You want to make sure to only select the PDF option, which attaches the whole form to the e-mail address.

hope that helps

  • Creating interactive PDFs for Mac preview?

I use InDesign CS3 on a PC and creating interactive PDFs for my clients. I just found out that when the interactive PDF is opened using the preview, all layers are displayed at the same time... Is it possible to produce an interactive PDF that works of the same aperture and read by Acrobat and an excerpt? Help, please!

As much as you cannot believe that it is a problem, it is indeed a problem. The reason that the application overview of Mac OS is so light and fast is that she is not completely and correctly implement the complete PDF language specification. Preview is OK, open the simple PDF files made from simple Word documents, e-mails, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations, but it often miserably fails on all that is graphically rich with significant amounts of and/or complex live transparency. There is nothing Adobe can do about it, other than to warn the creative professionals and other users Macintosh of the problem. Adobe Reader is free, whereas in reality, the problem is minimal if the user is ready to install the player.

Note that PDF is a fully documented ISO standard. It is not a question of not having Apple does not have access to the PDF language specification or having to reverse engineer any technology. At this point, Apple seems to believe that his product preview is good enough for the majority of its customers.

Note that the preview for iPhone and iPad iOS version is even more problematic than the MacOS version!

  • How can I create an interactive PDF of analysis

After an internet search, topics help forums, still unable to find a way to accomplish what Im wanting, Im so Im hoping someone can help me. With certain interactive PDFs, Im able to load on my galaxy tab, open them with the app "eBook", study them and highlight while studying. I know how to create an interactive PDF which allows to highlight from scratch using InDesign and Acrobat Pro, but Im trying to figure out how to scan a document, have acrobat (or any other program if one works better) identify the text and create an interactive PDF based on that. I know that you can have acrobat identify the empty spaces to be used as interactive fields, but I think you can also do detect the text on a document too. So, you get a section of the study on paper, but you want to have on your galaxy (or another tab) to be able to study the article and highlight it, without having to type all upward from zero. Is it possible to do? and if so, how do I do it?

Have you use Save as or save just. Record keeps all the graphics with what you were doing, not just the OCR. SAVE AS band information is no longer used after the OCR process, i.e. If you use ClearScan directly in the PDF file. Two other methods of OCR, place the OCR in a layer behind the original graphics and no space, but add the layer of OCR for research. The success of the OCR process depends on the resolution of quality and analysis of the original analysis. If you have something like the equations, you can get a lot of damage it. AA X supposedly much improved the OCR process.

  • How to create an interactive PDF of FrameMaker

In InDesign, I can choose to create a PDF to print or interactive PDF. I don't see this parameter in FrameMaker. Is it possible to create an interactive PDF from a FrameMaker file that has an interactive 3D object imported so that the 3D object will work in the PDF?

Using the SaveAsPDF Road will allow you to do this. For the 3D stuff, you must also ensure that your edition > Preferences options are set to support these functions.

If you use the route Print to creatr a PDF file, thn you need to check the option 'Generate Acrobat data' to make interactive PDF files.

  • How to create an interactive PDF with variable data

We basically have a "mail merge" to our list of customers with an interactive PDF file (including videos, menus, etc. - not only form fill and web links) to create a single PDF that contains several pieces of mail... one for each customer... with each total mail being customized for this customer.  Customizations would include different greetings (Bob dear, dear Dana, etc), as well as the different graphs based on unique data to the client, photographs, etc.

I saw that InDesign and Acrobat Professional can be used to create an interactive PDF (such as http://tv.adobe.com/watch/ask-the-adobe-ones/14-calling-rufus-about-interactive-pdf-making).  But I don't understand how I can insert data into a database, csv, excel etc. in the PDF file file so that each page, or each set of pages in the PDF file can be customized.

Can someone tell me a tool to use for this?

    Thank you

    Bob Kendall

I'm new on this and didn't know InDesign could do a data merge, thank you for pointing that out.

However, we currently produce hundreds of thousands of personalized daily electronic documents, a PDF file or Web user interaction (no, this isn't spam or junk mail).  Our customers have asked us to focus on the generation of personalized interactive PDFs and I fear that the volume could overwhelm InDesign.  My other concern is that all of our work performed automatically (we run hundreds every day) and it is not possible to have a person to sit down, then run InDesign manually for each job.  Our standard operating system need a certain version of unix (AIX or linux), although we can perform tasks under windows if necessary.  It seems, as InDesign will fit in this environment?  If not, is there something else out there?

    Thank you for your time.

  • Can I create an interactive PDF without distributing it?

    Hi guys,.

I am very new to this and I was invited by the team of development here at work to play and create a form. The idea behind this is that we want to be able to create an interactive PDF form that can be saved without download it anywhere by one of our users (because they cannot access internet when they fill out the form). At a later stage the user must download the PDF file in our system that will read the contents of the form and download these data to the database. Our system is a Java web-based back-office system.

-Similarly, we will also pre-fill data in the form, if it is present in our database when the form is downloaded for use.

So I'm basically looking to somehow change the security settings on the PDF file. I know it's possible but I don't see how to do it and I can't find any help on how to do it and it makes me crazy!

    Hello

You can do this in the designer of the LC, but I highly recommend that you take a look at our summary of restrictions depending on how you deploy your form:

It is available here: https://acrobat.com/#d=3lGJZAZuOmk8h86HCWyJKg and here: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Using_LiveCycle_Forms_in_Acrobat_and_Reader-16518.html

You can send a form, but if users have Reader they won't be able to save data that they fill in. They will be able to present data, but only in xml format.

If you drive to activate the form allow users drive to back up data, then data connections is disabled.

    Good luck

    Niall

  • Create an interactive PDF on 35 pages

Hi displays the first time here, so apologies in advance if I break all the rules.

So I'm having a strange problem that I hope someone can help with.

I created an interactive PDF on InDesign CS6. The document has a back, a front and a button of content on each page as a TOC marked with a bookmark. When I go to export, said the document and open it in Acrobat. the form field guide bar (attached) seems that there is no form field in the document. The strange thing is that it appears that if the document is 35 pages or more. Can someone help so that this bar does not appear on the pdf doc?

In this case does not rely on the number of pages, rather than the number of interactive elements in the PDF file.

You can prevent Acrobat/Reader (regardless of the number of interactive elements) to display the toolbar of form by activating certain restrictions document as not allowing content do not copy or page extraction.

  • What is the best program to use to create an interactive pdf?

What is the best program to use to create an interactive pdf?

You can't use InDesign, it's just an example of something that you could use. It would probably be better to use something that you already have experience with.

Once you convert the document to PDF, you can open it in Acrobat and have it automatically detect the form fields by selecting: forms > Start Wizard forms

It will attempt to identify where you intend to add form fields, but there is usually a good bit of customization to do later. The alternative is to manually add the form fields yourself by selecting: forms > add or edit fields

You can use the forms tools to add text fields, check boxes, buttons, etc. There is a lot of information in the doc help Acrobat on the creation and modification of form fields.

  • How to create an accessible PDF for Thesaurus with many chapters, Acrobat and InDesign CS 5.5

    Hi people,

I was thinking about a thesaurus (controlled vocabulary for the archives of the Agency) in InDesign CS 5.5. I am preparing an accessible PDF from many files (using a book created in InDesign). Coverage, the preliminary pages and back cover are not part of the book, to keep the simple page numbering.

The book has two main sections, one alphabetical display and a hierarchical display of terms and their relationships. I created chapters by lists of the alphabet, i.e. alphabetical screen A, B, C, etc. So, there are more than 50 chapters, including coverage, preliminary pages, etc.

I managed to do the cover and the preliminary pages PDFs after viewing the videos here: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/accessibility-adobe/preparing-indesign-files-for-accessibility/ and download and use this Action for recommended Acrobat: InDesign CS5_5 accessibility Touchup.sequ

Several issues specific to this project do not seem to be addressed in the videos, however.

    • First of all, I would like to know if I can create an accessible PDF using the book feature > export book to PDF. Or should I make a PDF by chapter? The book has over 50 chapters (by alphabet, twice), so creating one by one, will take much longer, but I'll do it if it is the best practice.
    • After creating the PDF files, if I use (in Acrobat): create > combine PDF files to make a complete in PDF (over 600 pages BTW), will be the final PDF settings of accessibility? Do I need to rerun the accessibility to the combined PDF report?
    • I used the InTools.com power Headers plugin to add a page header that appears automatically the first new term used by page. Thus, a chapter (with the title of the chapter title H1) will have a different page header (which will be H2) per page, but the text circulates throughout the chapter. I don't see where to add page headers in the Article window in InDesign. Can I add in the following order: H1, H2, text (for the whole chapter), H2, H2, H2, etc. I need to work on the PDF file in Acrobat, where pages will be displayed, to obtain the correct H2 with the text on the page? Am I missing something?
    • I have problems with the bookmarks that requires a specific workflow?

I think it is in this regard, although I could run more questions as I progress through the project.

    Thank you, Marilyn

I understand why you need updated running headers in your book. For a reader seeing these serve as a guide for where you are and help you find things quickly.  In addition, if you export your data to XML or HTML from the tagged PDF document it would be also important to have these in the right place.

But for accessibility purposes, should not be there because the screen reader reads everything in linear order, line by line.  No one is looking at the page.  A user to listen to the screen reader read the page will hear this position, just before the word itself. Then they hear the first word of the page two times.  It is not the end of the world if it is there, but these positions are not required for accessibility, unless they are not repetitive and contain information that is not otherwise available.

So I would say, very well if you need it or want it, it's just a Word.

I think you should try to export your book in PDF format (or even just one chapter of the book) and look at the Panel tags in Acrobat to see if you get the desired result.  I can't tell you exactly what you need to do to get these results, you use a plug-in, I did not.

I can tell you that I didn't have to add headers to any article at all, they just automatically export if the other items in the file are added and that you do not select the style of header option 'not for export in XML format.

You may not experience the same results with your plugin, but I think this would work probably the same way.

Give it a try and good luck.

  • Using hyperlinks to create an interactive pdf

I am trying to create an interactive directory which has several hyperlinks; Some go to a destination in the pdf file, some go to an e-mail link and some dial a phone number. Almost all of them works (all hyperlinks in email and phone numbers work seen on an iPhone and and Android); However some of the hyperlinks that go to a destination in the document do not seem to work. I have all the links created in InDesign and then exported to interactive pdf. It seems that all of the links are hyperlinked directly from the work of text, but when I use an object as a hyperlink (for creating a button), sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Although the settings for each of them are the same. Works of all things seen in Acrobat on a computer, it just seems to fail when viewing on a mobile device.

Everyone comes through this or have any ideas?

    Hi jmerrick,

We just released Acrobat Reader for iOS 15.1.0 version that contains the fix for the problem of hyperlink to your PDF document.

Do you want to give it a try and let us know if the problem is resolved?

    Thank you for your patience!

  • A pdf with two images page. How can I create a separate pdf for each image?

I was sent a scan of two images using Adobe Acrobat DC A4.  The images are invoices.  I want to create two separate pdfs, one for each Bill, so that I can drop off each invoice with the operation seen in my accounting software.  If possible, please let me know how to go on this issue. Thank you.

If the two images are on the same page: duplicate page (drag / move in the Pages panel while holding the Ctrl key).

Then crops the first page to only show that the first Bill and the second page to show only the other. Then extract each page as a new file.

If the image is on a separate page: extract each page as a new file (via Tools - Pages - extract Pages).

Two invites on 1 page in Indesign that when exporting to adobe reader in pdf format, I can simply add new names that populate both copies and then be printable. Any help out there is how to make an invitation in Indesign, but now how to make 2 copies on a single page that someone else ie the customer can add their own names. So each field name must complete on both guest. Sounds simple, but is not really there to help. I think he called an interactive pdf. Thanks in advance.

AutoFill is the easiest part, he lies. If both fields have the same name, they will have the same content: type in one and it appears in the other.

  • Creating an MSI package for distribution through a network

How can I create an msi package adobe reader version 9.2 without the help of Adobe Customization Wizard to deploy the package over the network to a massive installation?

I tried to generate with the adobe Customization Wizard, but the msi should I modify it is void because it obtained by installing free software (to install is created in program files) and does not.

I get an MSI for the edition in the Customization Wizard?
I extracted a reader 9.2 executable?. If so, the free version is available in the site does not give me the possibility to extract to get the msi file.

    Thank you very much.

Why is it you oppose the use of the generator package? You can use winzip to extract the msi on the exe file. The wizard creates just the file for you allows you to deploy through SCCM or depending on the tool you are using.
