  I just tried to reinstall it - again, it wasn't giving me the possibility to register or something. Closing the minute I opened Acrobat.

  So I opened the Acrobat Distiller who installed with Acrobat and who have been asked to accept the agreement and register the product. Once I did - Acrobat started working again!

  It's simple.

  • Open http://www.adobe.com/sea/products/acrobatpro/buying-guide-upgrade-pricing.html
  • Upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI
  • Download and install the product.
  • When you launch it, it will validate serial number and prompt you to enter the serial number of the eligible product (since the new AXI serial number is a serial number update)
  • Select Acrobat 8 Pro-> enter the A8 Pro serial number and click Next
  • .. .and finished! (My fav step...)

  You must install A8 as long as you have its serial number in you hand.

  Rename Old - 1.0 1.0 file

  Once you had renamed the 1.0 folder, launch the first cc pro 2014 from the Applications folder.

  Problem has been resolved (the solution in a post on the forum of the Adobe Web site):

  CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK CONNECTIONS >

  Windows "gave me" a "Wireless Network Connection 3" that has been identified as a "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter"

  I clicked it and chose to "disable."

  Once the 'virtual' card has been deactivated, my Adobe Acrobat Update Manager launch worked well.  I've seen this problem on Windows 7; never lived with my XP or Vista systems.
