  I added an external keyboard and an external monitor to my HP Envy laptop m7-n011dx.  Both are recognized by the laptop, if I leave the lid open.  When I close the lid, the computer goes into mode 'sleep', and I can't use the laptop with the keyboard and the monitor.

  How do I charge the laptop does not go in mode 'sleep' when I close the lid, so I can use the keyboard and the monitor?

  I read your post and wanted to help.

  I understand that you want to use the external keyboard and the monitor while the laptop lid is closed.

  You must go to the Power Options. Set it to do nothing when the lid is closed.

• Opening lid do not wake

  No idea as to why my Vaio 13 Pro is no longer wake up from sleep when I opened the lid? He worked and the Viao control center is set to wake up at the opening of the lips. I tried what I think, restarting, etc., but nothing works.

  So far, I guess that most of us have already tried these parameters.

  However, for some mysterious reason another selection more further down, to the title of the 'technology Intel Smart Connect' (more by clicking on the 'Détails' button) was 'Hibernate' selected, rather than "sleep." This is the second area of dropdwon under the section 'State in the course of the day before'

  This must occur after execution of the major update of windows recently, (but who knows, right?)

  Hope it works for you, now, I opened the lid and it will return to standby automatically.

  You define 'Action close lid' to the 'status quo' instead of sleep or Shut down:
  Go to-> double click "Power Options" Control Panel-> 'Select a power plan' under your selected plan, click "Change plan settings"-> "Change plan", click on the blue link 'Change advanced power'-> in 'Advanced settings' tab expand "power buttons and lid"-> extend the action of the 'close' lid, set "on battery" and "Plugged in" to "Do nothing"-> click apply-> OK button

• Hibernation keeps disappearing

  This problem applies to Windows 7 AND Windows XP.

  Hibernate continues to disappear from the computer laptop action "Close lid".

  Sometimes it disappears in the menu start-stop also (this can be corrected by running the command "powercfg-h on").

  I tried all the suggestions I can find in KB and forums - no help.  Windows 7 (on a laptop), one time I reset the option "close cover" via the control panel-> Power Options control, it works once or twice, but then it disappears again.

• Locking the computer on the lid close?

  Microsoft will never include the option 'lock the computer' as an action to close the cover in their operating systems? The current options are only 'status quo', "shut down", "hibernate" and "sleep". People have asked for this year. It is very easy to do under Linux. Why Microsoft cannot accomplish this?
  1) go to regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\Power
  (2) right click > new > DWORD (32-bit)
  (3) change the name to AwayModeEnabled
  (4) select > right click > change the value (hexadecimal) 1
  5) go to the Power Options settings page and change the action close the lid to sleep.
  It worked for me!

  Open Power Options - you can do it from the control panel by typing Power Options in the start menu, or by right click on the battery icon in your system tray (right end of the taskbar.)
  Click on "change plan settings" for your current power management.  On the next page, click "Change advanced power settings".  On the box that opens, expand 'Power buttons and lid', then 'action close cover.'  Change the selection to "on battery" to the 'status quo', and then click OK.  Close the power Plan window.

  Well, it works again.

  I fiddled with the action of standby on "Close cover", then changed to the 'status quo' "Close lid".

  He didn't even return to sleep after having played with the changes, but the next day, it works again. I'm not aware of any other changes.

  1. dialogue Cancel: this dynamic action should be called when you have the Undo button on your page of the dialog box. This does nothing but simply cancels the dialog box.

  2. closed dialogue Page Submit: this process all actions on submit button and once that all the associated actions are done close the modal dialog box and returns the handle to the call to point.

  3. dialogue dynamic Action closed: Cela above closed captures events and process any further action for ex: in the dialog box modal, you have updated to salary and close on modal dialog box you want to refresh the employee report.

• Acrobat Pro XI - The action Wizard prompts you to save

  For a particular project, I need to read a file containing several thousands of RTF files and save them as PDF files. I have done successfully with "Assistant action" (and precursors) in earlier versions of Acrobat, but can't make it work in Pro XI. That's all I have available now.

  The script reads each file correctly, save in PDF format correctly, but then will not continue until I have save the 'original '. It seems that opening the RTF creates a significant change, and the wizard of the Action will not continue without registering or by deleting this change. I tried to add additional save steps and looked for some kind of action 'close' which would ignore the opened file. But without success. How can I make this work? I don't want to press 'Cancel' 1200 times in the course of an hour, once a week.

  Add just a drive backup with the PDF Optimization option enabled, but no actual command selected under it. Who must convert the PDF non-fichiers to PDF, save and then close them and move on.

  Hi all

  I'm trying to get a button that closes the project window / at the end of a video. I use CP8.

  I can make it work when published as SWF Adobe Captivate.

  It works also when you publish as HTML5, but not on a LMS (Adobe Connect) system.

  I have tried different methods which

  -Successful run a JavaScript Window.Close =)

  -On the success - exit

  -Successful execute advanced action = Assign cpCmdExit with 1

  I also tried the slide on the output settings: output and end of project parameters publication Options: Action: close project.

  Nothing works.

  Any ideas?

  You can test this to close the window of course:

  Insert the 2 buttons or smart shape used as buttons (as of the end of course buttons).

  The first button apply an action to run javascript and in the script window, use this script: parent.close)

  The second button apply an action to run javascript and in the script window, use this script: top.window.close)

  Download the draft published on your LMS and check whether one of these work for you.

• Help with modal Skillbuilders Page close button

  I try to use Skillbuilders modal Page (which is an awesome plugin) to bring up a page apex to attach files. This part works fine. but when the user clicks Close button or icon X modal dialog that I want to return a value or change the text to a link on the parent window. I've read other discussions, but I'm not able to find a way to capture that close event and perform the dynamic action on the parent page before closing the window. Could someone through some light on this?

  Note here that '.modalclose_link' is a jquery selector, you will have to customize. However, it is just an example. You could take the actual function code and use it to tell a dynamic action of a button.

  So I have everything works except closing the modal page. I think it's a matter of topic, but I'm not sure where to look for the right tag/solution. Modal page works, supports the values (to write to load/create/save custom process), but it does what it should. I have the direction of the page from 99 (my page close modal Page) and that works. What does not work is the dynamic Action close modal Page. In the tutorial, you had to find the section in the page with the success message and enter the label of the division. I use the Blue Classic theme (13) and it seems to be the same div #success - message that should work. Modal page after you save the new value, I don't see a message. As I had to create processes customized to load/save the values in the table, is there somewhere that I also customized record a success message?

  Your success message is identified by a class rather than an ID hash Tags are used to select by ID. For classes, you use a point. The correct selector would be div.t13SuccessMessage

  condition-online PO_DOCON_CONTROL. FINALLY, ACTION = CLOSE
