ActionScript loading in Firefox bug problem

Help, please.

I'm working on a page at http://localhost/skitterskatter/gerilance/D4D/index4.html

The page works properly in Internet Explorer on a PC. In Firefox and some mac browsers when you click on a thumbnail, the image does not display (the image is supposed to extend out of the tile at the top right of the screen). After a refresh page often miniature actions work.

It seems that the image has to be loaded in the cache before it can move. I can't figure out how to make it work. The following actionscript code:

var finalWidth = 435; width of furniture
var finalHeight = 295; height for furniture

var initWidth = 10; initial width and height for furniture exploding vignette
var initHeight = 10;
Flex418 var = 570; Positions of destination X and Y for furniture
finalY var = 50;
var stoploop = 0; counter to determine when the furniture is in place
var numberOfCalls = 40; the number of times that a function is called reaching the final position
var intervalID;
var initX = 0;
initY var = 0;

function startLoading (image, button) {}
clearInterval (intervalID);
_root.infoField._visible = true;

myData = new LoadVars();
myData.onLoad = function() {}
_root. Descr.Text = this.theText;
};
myData.load("./descr/"+image+".txt");

myData = new LoadVars();
myData.onLoad = function() {}
_root.nameOfPiece.text = this.theText;
};
myData.load("./names/n_"+image+".txt");

_root.perice._width = 10;
_root.perice._height = 10;

var whichImage = «./pieces/"+image+".jpg;
loadMovie (whichImage, "_root.perice");

_root.onEnterFrame = function() {}
var infoLoaded = _root.perice.getBytesLoaded ();

var infoTotal = _root.perice.getBytesTotal ();
percentage of var = Math.floor(infoLoaded/infoTotal*100);
_root.infoField.text = 'loading... «+ percent + "% InfoLoaded:" + infoLoaded + "InfoTotal: «;»

If (percentage > = 100) {}

material var = «./materials/mat_"+image+".jpg;
var = «./titles/title_"+image+".jpg titleimage;
design of var = «./designs/design_"+image+".jpg;
loadMovie (material, "_root.material");
loadMovie (titleimage, "_root.titleimage");

loadMovie (design, "_root.design");
initX = _root._xmouse;
initY = _root._ymouse;
stoploop = 0;

_root.perice._x = initX;
_root.perice._y = initY;

intervalID = setInterval (moveperice, 50);

delete this.onEnterFrame;

}
gotoAndPlay (1);
};
_root.startagain ();
}

function moveperice() {}

_root.perice._x += (Flex418-initX) / numberOfCalls;
_root.perice._y += (finalY-initY) / numberOfCalls;

_root.perice._width += (finalWidth-initWidth) / numberOfCalls;
_root.perice._height += (finalHeight-initHeight) / numberOfCalls;

stoploop += 1;

If (stoploop > = numberOfCalls) {}
;
clearInterval (intervalID);
}
}
SlideBar.Button1.onRelease = function () {}
startLoading ("albert", this, initX, initY);
}

SlideBar.button2.onRelease = function () {}
startLoading ("amy", this, initX, initY);
}

SlideBar.button3.onRelease = function () {}
startLoading ("david", this);
}

with the rest buttons etc.

Help, please.

Thank you. Me leader in this direction has saved my butt. I've worked now.

Thank you.

  • Cannot load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible.

    I had downloaded a game, and while he was full I tried to open it in order to play. After I opened my laptop hanged just for long time that I am impatient and decided to restart. Since then, I can't use Mozilla firefox because it does not open, but only displays the text "failed to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. ", but since that time, on my desk there was a folder that appeared under the name 'old data firefox' Please help

    You must locate the profiles.ini file and delete this file or use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

    See:

    This problem may be caused by a problem with the profiles.ini file or with the permissions (owner) of the concerned files.

    You can use one of them to retrieve an existing profile or create a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to make Firefox create a new profile (default)
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
      If you have an existing profile, then click on "Choose a folder" in the Profile Manager and navigate to the location of a profile lost to recover this profile
      https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/managing+profiles

    You should find the file profiles.ini in this hidden place:

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      * C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\
    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/

    If the file profiles.ini compensation does not work then also check the location of the cache files.

    • Windows: * C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/
    • Linux:~/.cache/Mozilla/Firefox/

    You can also try to rename/delete the MozillaFirefox folder in the two above mentioned places (main, cache).

  • Error message: unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible

    I know that others have had this problem but none of the validated answers turned out to be viable. When I try to start Firefox, the browser does not open and I see the following message appears: "unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. "I am running Windows 8.1.

    It's what happened leading up to this problem. I was passing through normally when I received a pop up message that says a threat has been detected, and Mozilla had a security patch that I have to download. This is the expedition of phishing malware believer, I closed the browser and restart the computer without having to download anything. When I restarted the computer, everything was normal and I googled for information on what had just happened, to see if I really needed a security patch. A forum suggested that I already have a virus/malware that caused the popup, and that I should deal with the possibility that updating Firefox. Then I refreshed Firefox, which seemed harmless enough. The update took the time, so I finally closed the window to refresh. Maybe I should let the window update but it was taken way too long - after that it's my problem to start with the error message.

    Since then, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I also deleted the profile folder in the hope that it would force the creation of a new folder. Nothing has worked. Someone has suggestions for Firefox run again?

    Thank you!

    Hi jbspear, please press the windows key + r and open: %APPDATA%\protector.exe

    There you should find a folder named "Mozilla". try to rename it to something like "Mozilla.bak" (or delete it if you don't like your old firefox bookmarks, passwords and customizations) and then try to restart firefox...

    A likely cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

  • XZero script forms do not load in FireFox

    Hello, if you are familiar with the XZeroscript, it is a community class based php script similar to Craigslist. I tried to make changes to the code, but for a reason, the following fields are not loaded in FireFox but all other browsers the fields load very well:

    In Firefox, it displays all the Source code view, but when you view the page only the header and footer appear, and none of the input fields appear. It is a single site, it happens on all the sites like this one also:

    I hear other people have this same problem, it's not fair on my computer. Help, please.

  • URL clicked in other programs will not load in Firefox

    Only in the last weeks of 1-3 (?) or so, I find that I can not click on links in other programs and have load URL in Firefox, which is my default browser. They always used to load perfectly and move me to the new tab in FF, but now they do not have.

    At first I tried to disable some recent FF modules one at a time to see if one of them could have been the problem, but that does not resolve, even though I may have missed one. Yet, I can't imagine how an independent add-on could cause URLs do not load from other programs. I tried to load the URL by clicking on it in Thunderbird, WordPad, MailWasher Pro and free agency, but each of them either just trembled at the screen for a moment and then stopped, or gave me a message such as 'WordPad could not open the URL' or ' there was a problem sending a command to the program "(free agency). However, when I copy and paste these URLS even in FF and press ENTER, these sites load perfectly.

    I may be wrong in the present, but it seems that something has changed in the FF that now prevents the links clicked in other programs from loading. My only other thought at the moment, it's that this peut eventually began all the time I upgraded from FF 10.0.2 to FF 11.0.1, but I have no evidence to support this theory.

    It's really an annoying problem and embarrassing, so any help to solve it will be much appreciated!

    Thank you
    Al

    The problem is solved now, as a result of assistance that I'm on WindowsSecrets forum. Once I realized that the problem occurred only with PCM and Thunderbird, but with other programs as well (I tried WordPad and free agency, which didn't even load the URL in Firefox), I posted the question on other forums, trying to see if others knew something about this issue. I got the answer of a member of the forum on this page:

       http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/145441-URLs-clicked-in-other-programs-won-t-load-in-Firefox?p=847784#post847784

    In case you are not a member it or may not load this page, here is her suggestion:

       With FF closed type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ in the start menu search box, click the item that appears and delete localstore.rdf FF will replace it on starting.

    I did this and all four programs that had previous problems loading of the URL, including MWC, now load them perfectly. The only (small) problem with this solution was localstore.rdf apparently saves all information about things like the Firefox toolbars and their customization, so all that was lost when I deleted the file, but I re-adapted quite quickly and everything is fine. Any thoughts about what localstore.rdf does, why this problem happened, or how to do to prevent it happening again will be appreciated.

    I hope this info helps. Thanks again for your help.

    Kind regards
    Al

  • When I try to open firefox, it says "cannot load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. » ?

    The reason why I deleted my firefox profile on my MAC and uninstalled firefox is because it was not appearing in the application menu or the dock and I have found whenever I wanted to use it. I couldn't put it on the dock or anything like that.
    When I downloaded again and tried to start it, there was the error message, "unable to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible. "And now I can't use it at all.

    You must remove the file profiles.ini so because Firefox registers all the profiles you see in the Profile Manager in this file and delete the file on disk, Firefox will display this error message.

    Otherwise, you will need to use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

  • Groups Yahoo not loading in Firefox

    Given that Yahoo has changed its format (that's another story - grrrr), none of my groups will load in Firefox (or Chrome, incidentally, although they charge to find in IE, which I don't like). I'm sure this is a setting that I twisted, but I'm not sure what it would be. I can connect fine, but except for the headers and the categories listed on the side, the page is blank. I don't have Java installed. Would be what? Any assistance received with joy.

    Well, I broke down and installed Java and presto! Yahoo groups now show. Not surprisingly, Yahoo to use Java when it's so darn buggy? In any case, just because I did it, I'll show the screen shot before Java. Now, of course, all my groups show. I still hate the format, but at least I can do.

    Hello mal3chka, if you remove the profiles.ini file, then a new default profile will be created the next time you start the application and a new profiles.ini file will be generated that references the new profile.
