Download Prism-FormatFactory and video file converter to convert my MOV files (from the Canon camera) because I wanted to use Microsoft Movie Maker and it does not recognize the MOV files.  Convert AVI and WMV files.  Media Player played them well before the update of the version of Media Player that I had.  Updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 last night and now nothing works.  Files that I ran across the Prism both FormatFactory have no video and audio.  A couple have begun to play but only for half a second, then turns off.  Any ideas?  Really frustrated here.  Have already downloaded service pack most recent for the codec as well.

  • When you try to play .mp4 files in WMP, I hear the sound but the picture is distorted and I can't see the photo in Windows Media Player.

    * Original title: Windows Media PLayer

I have Windows Media Player version 12 installed but when you try to play .mp4 files in WMP, I hear the sound but the picture is distorted and I can't see the picture.  Please see image attached.

Even if I see that I can change the version of the file in a different format, I have the same problem with videos on websites that I can not of course change the format before playing these.

I managed to fix the problem for about 20 minutes by flattening my computer re - install the operating system and this resolved until all updates have been through, and then it disappeared again.  I tried many codecs packs and this still does not help.

My system is running Windows 7 and Media Player version is 12.0.7601.18840, which tells me that Media Player is the most recent version.

    Please can someone help?

Open uninstall a program in windows and in the left click on the feature to turn on or off windows. Clear the check box of the window Media Player, and then click ok. This will uninstall the drive, and then restart.

After restarting the same steps, now, check the box for the same and perform a restart and if all goes well it should solve the problem.

Note: Make sure that Windows is up-to-date.

  • VOB has sound but no picture (gulp!)

    Hello

I've transferred a video tape on a DVD, and he met with five. VOB files.

I can load the last four in first Adobe Elements 7, but the first produces the message "this file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed.  It's strange as the other four works very well.  I have truied by renaming the file a .mpg file and the same message occurs.  When I play the file in Windows media player, he plays with sound but no picture.

Can someone shed light on this please?

If your Handycam from Sony has transmission capabilities, this would be my first choice. You will have the remote control, like your VHS player will be connected via composite or S-Video cables and Audio, but with a bit of work with your remote control and your mouse, one in each hand, you can get very close. Just to start the Capture a moment earlier and cut then the video blank at the head of the clamp.

Good luck and you check Sony manual for exact setting you need to pass through.

  • Stor.e TV + - playing .mkv files have sound but no picture

I just transferred all my .mkv files on my store TV + but most of them have sound but no picture? They play fine on my PC...

Also, in any case to change the icon of the folder on the actual dvd cover on the store TV +? Sick to see the yellow folders!

    Thank you...

    Hello
Find the StorE TV + specifications on this page from Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/EU/store-external-hard-drives/TV-plus/

The Store TV + supports video formats: MPEG1 (DAT, MPG), MPEG2 (VOB, MPG, TS/M2TS/TP TRP), MPEG4 (AVI, MP4, MKV), VC-1 (WMV), H.264 (AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4), RM/RMVB (RM/RMVB)

MKV files are supported by the MPEG4 and H.264 video format.
Files are saved in these formats?
How about you play other i.e. MPG or AVI files?

In addition, I would recommend checking the connection to the TV.
Here is a user manual that I found on the page of Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/global/manuals/store/manuals/STORE_TVplus_User_Manual.PDF

It shows you how to connect the Store TV + correctly.
