Add a table with uneven cell sizes

Hello

I want to add tables to the coordinates specified on the page with the various columns that contain a different number of cells of different and unevenly sizes.

The image below illustrates what I mean.

ScreenShot069.jpg

Would be happier if someone can tell me the words so that I can make a thousand images.

Thank you

Trevor

Concerning the different size cells, it is possible other than the use of the merge feature?

@Trevor:

No, if you are talking about an ordinary table.
Of course you can consider tables within cells if you like complicated.

  • Auto fill a table with text cell

    I'm a long-time FrameMaker user who starts to become familiar with InDesign (CS5.5). I have a question about tables.

    In FrameMaker, I create a table of 2 column 1 row style to create a formatted Note style. The cell on the left uses a paragraph style that contains the Note text: in the field auto-numbering format (see screenshot).

    fm_paragraph_designer.png

    In other words, when I add the table to a document, the text Note: is automatically added, formatted according to the paragraph style.

    I tried the following approach in InDesign:

    I created a new table style (column 2, 1 line)

    I created a style of cell to the cell to the left. This refers to a paragraph style with put it in place in bullets and numbering section.

    ID_paragraph_designer.png

    However, the text "Note:" does not automatically appear in the cell with the left hand, unless I get a letter, number or a character, what beats rather the object. I guess there is a way for InDesign to do what I want, but I just have not found? Pointers appreciated!

    ..  a character style nested within the 1 space that applies color, custom underline and new type size and leading...

    No, attack will not work in this case; you need a bit of vertical offset to get the characters from the bottom of the 'box '. Other than that, it works just dandy, after changing the underlining and rule above up to what all right (values that work for you will be different from mine, because of other policies, the size and leader etc.):

  • Add a table with the number of lines and columns JS

    Hello

    Simple question: what is the syntax for adding a table with a specified number of rows and columns? I don't get it. (I don't know how to add them later, but I want to do when I create the table). Here is the entry in the ESTK:

    Tables.Add (to: LocationOptions, reference: all, withProperties: Object): array

    Creates a new table.

    (optional): Data Type: LocationOptions, by default: LocationOptions.UNKNOWN
    The location of the new table to the object within the container object or reference. (Optional)

    Reference: Data Type: no
    The reference object. Note: Required when the value specifies before or after. Can accept: Table, XmlStory, XMLElement, TextFrame, text, character, Word, line, paragraph, TextColumn, PointInsertion, story, cell or TextStyleRange. (Optional)

    withProperties: Data Type: object
    Initial values for the properties of the new Table (optional)

    Thank you

    Ariel

    After much experimentation, I found this works:

    t = app.selection [0].tables.add (LocationOptions.AT_BEGINNING, undefined, {columnCount:2, headerRowCount:1, bodyRowCount:5, footerRowCount:3});})

  • Write the table of data (with a fixed size)

    Hi fellow users of LabView,.

    My problem is very basic, I'm sorry about that, I'm just a beginner

    I get continuous data of a function and I want to write them in a table with a fixed size. The fixed size is because I want to get the max/min of the latest x items entry. I tried this for an hour now with different approaches, but nothing seems to work, so I'm quite frustrated to post my problem here.

    I hope that the VI is understandable even with foreign securities. Basically, I want to make two light up if my data within a period equal to or less than a reference value.

    I'm grateful for any hint of help

  • How to find the size of a table with CLOB

    Hello

    I have a table with CLOB as follows:

    SQL > desc INFO_MESSAGES

    Name                                      Null?    Type

    ----------------------------------------- -------- ----------------------------

    CLNT_OID NOT NULL VARCHAR2 (16)

    USR_OID NOT NULL VARCHAR2 (16)

    LAST_client_msg_ID VARCHAR2 (36)

    LAST_client_msg_DATE DATE

    LAST_client_msg CLOB

    LAST_USR_MSG_BOD_ID VARCHAR2 (36)

    DATE OF LAST_USR_MSG_DATE

    CLOB LAST_USR_MSG

    Now I just want to find out what is the size/area total absorbed by the table (including the CLOB columns), so how can I find? I think that the usual command does not - the

    Select format from dba_segments where nom_segment = "INFO_MESSAGES" is only showing 7 MB, while I think that the table has several GB of space due to the CLOB.

    Also to add one more detail: when dba_segments seeking, I see a result like this:

    Select * of dba_segments order by bytes DESC;

    MIGRTN SYS_LOB0000111131C00008$ $ LOBSEGMENT SAMS DATA1 20690 6 1963 14528000 119013376000 <-the top row

    MIGRTN this is the schema where this INFO_MESSAGES table is present.

    Thanks,

    OrauserN

    you will need to add the segment_size of the LOB segments to the segment_size of the table. The connection between the two pieces of information you find in USER_LOBS (or the corresponding ALL_, DBA_ objects).

    Hello

    I have a loop 'for' which can take different number of iterations according to the number of measures that the user wants to do.

    Inside this loop, I'm auto-indexation four different 1 d arrays. This means that the size of the tables will be different in the different phases of the execution of the program (the size will equal the number of measures).

    My question is: the auto-indexation of the tables with different sizes will affect the performance of the program? I think it slows down my Vi...

    My first thought is that the compiler to the LabVIEW actually removes the Matlab node because the outputs are not used.  Once you son upward, LabVIEW must then call Matlab and wait for it to run.  I know from experience, the call of Matlab to run the script is SLOW.  I also recommend to do the math in native LabVIEW.

  • GetLength errors on CLOB. Retrieves the size of a table with CLOB columns

    Hello

    I try to find the size of a CLOB to a table column and get the error

    PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in the call to "GETLENGTH.

    When you try to use dbms_lob.getlength. Here is the code

    declare
    number num.
    Start
    for rec in (select xmlupload from FILE_TABLE where file_table_id = 33635) loop
    NUM: = dbms_lob.getLength (rec.xmlupload);

    end;

    I'm actually trying to find the size of a table with CLOB columns, is there an easy way to do this Besides using getlength and without having to contact the Administrators (they are outsourced)?

    It works fine on my computer, the version is also 10g.

    SQL> declare
      2  num number;
      3  begin
      4 for rec in (select cntnt from ims_toms_msge where rownum<3) loop
      5  num := dbms_lob.getLength(rec.cntnt);
      6  dbms_output.put_line(num);
      7  end loop;
      8
      9  end;
     10  /
    3837
    3837

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    You should check if xmlupload is the CLOB data type.
    In addition, if you just want to get the CLOB size, you can use LENGTH() as well, you will get the same result;

    SQL>  select length(cntnt), dbms_lob.getLength(cntnt) from ims_toms_msge where rownum<2;

    LENGTH(CNTNT) DBMS_LOB.GETLENGTH(CNTNT)

  • Table with fixed header and the left column

    I created a table in my application with the fixed left column (left most column is fixed and remaining columns are scrolling from left to right). is it possible to create a table with fixed position and fixed left column?

    Suppose there are 50 rows and 10 columns in my paintings, and only 3 columns and 15 rows are visiable on the screen

    (1) when the user scroll left to right left only most of the columns must be fixed. Remaining cap of the table and column scroll left to right and vice versa. also

    (2) when user scroll high high bottems single topic most must be fixed and remaining all lines (with to the left most column) should be scrollable.

    I am able to put in place a point at the top, but not both. Please suggest

    "If I repopulate the value in the cell when user scrolling, shell, I get scrolling effect correctly as it only shows half cell when the user highlight half of the cell."

    Approach using TablelayoutManager display single cells and scrolling would be cell at a time.  And Yes, you will need to override navigationMovement and n of methods appropriate TouchEvent your TableLayoutManager so that he knows when to fill the cells.

    Another alternative is to have four managers, we don't the the upper left corner (the dead angle), one to make the top row (column headings), one to make the left column (row headings), and the other to do the rest (data).  Place all these in a delicate header and line manager.  Only allow the user to scroll the data part.  Have the difficult Manager to listen the scroll events.  Then have the wily Manager add and remove the dummy column and header line managers as appropriate.  Note that these topic fields would not good passes, they would be either there or they would not be displayed. That would give you your 1/2 a scroll of the cell.  And you wouldn't have to substitute anything to detect movement, you would have left the listener do scrolling for you.

  • ALTER TABLE with the column NULL time consuming

    Hello

    I have a table with nearly 2 million documents (about 10 GB size table) when I perform the following change statement its run fast

    ALTER TABLE tbl_1 ADD (DEFAULT col_4 NUMBER 100 NOT NULL);

    but when I do not give the NOT NULL in the alter its taking a long time to complete this i.e tbl_1 of ALTER TABLE ADD (NUMBER col_4 by DEFAULT 100); once I do the column as NOT NULL.

    Can someone explain why is it happening like that regarding the execution point.

    Thanks in advance.

    I can reproduce the effect in 11.2.0.1 - but not in 12.1.0.1.

    drop table tbl_1;

    create table tbl_1

    as

    Select rownum id

    , lpad ('* ', 50,' *') padding

    of the double

    connect by level<=>

    ALTER TABLE tbl_1 ADD (NUMBER col_4 by DEFAULT 100);

    --> slow in 11.2.0.1; fast 12.1.0.1

    ALTER TABLE tbl_1 ADD (DEFAULT col_4 NUMBER 100 NOT NULL);

    --> Quick 11.2.0.1 and 12.1.0.1

    A SQL trace for two operations (11g) shows that the altar slow (without the constraint explicit non-null) made explicit (and tedious) update of any row in the table:

    Update 'TBL_1"set"COL_4"= 100

    call the query of disc elapsed to cpu count current lines

    ------- ------  -------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------  ----------

    Parse        1      0.00       0.02          0          1          0           0

    Run 1 11,63 33.56 8336 1016125 2053531 1000000

    Fetch        0      0.00       0.00          0          0          0           0

    ------- ------  -------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------  ----------

    Total 2 11,63 33,58 8336 1016126 2053531 1000000

    The other trace file does not contain the explicit Update. I guess in the optimized case that oracle stores somewhere that col_4 has the value 100 and updates only the line of the block after completing DML operations. But that's just a guess.

  • Browse the richeTableau with custom cells

    Hello.

    I create a richeTableau drag and drop a view in DataControls. Table xxx and table view contains only one column, description of binding the table field.

    This description appears in a UI OutputText component.

    Then I add a column with a component SelectOneRadio (check yes/no).

    Finally, I add another column with a text entry to post comments.

    So, when I click on a button, I capture the action event and want to process the contents of the table. But, how can I browse this table?

    How can I get each line and each cell in the row (each radio, each text)?

    My version of JDeveloper is 11.1.1.7.0

    Thanks in advance. Best regards

    EDIT: ___Final solution___

    Add two attributes passengers and iterate the VO object is very easy.

    For the question on the option button, add a switch and bind the group radio with the transitional attribute button.

    Hello

    How about, adding these two attributes to the VO triansient attributes (and set the property update forever) and link attributes in the user interface. So that data are available in the original Version, where you can easily get?

  • Scan of the columns in table for empty cells

    I have prepared a form that will do the following (Please bear with me for the description):

    The form opens with a table of 10 rows.  The user must enter sides (from 0 to 10) in one of the columns in the table.  Once the user enters all the ratings of ten, he or she must then click a button to turn on the rest of the form (which is hidden).  What I'm trying to do is, after the button is clicked, scan the table to ensure that the entire column was filled with a number.  If the column was made, then a second page.  If a cell in the column was left in white, then I want a prompt to appear and indicate to the user which cell is empty.  I was able to run by using the following code:

    This code is under the event 'click '.

    If (decisionMatrix.dMTable.Row4.rating.rawValue is nothing)
    {
    Poster a warning prompt that indicates the form is incomplete

    xfa.host.messageBox ("incomplete form.  Please fill in the background. ","warning ", 3);
    }
    on the other
    {
    Allow the user to save the current state of the form and activate the second part of the form.
    app.execMenuItem ("SaveAs");
    }

    The problem with the above method is that it checks only the Row4 cell.  I have to add more code for the other 9 rows in the table and for each message box, indicating to the user which field to fill.  Is there a better way to do it?  A switch-case perhaps statement?

    I have also considered the column full analysis at a time and just using a message box general for the table, using the following code:

    If (decisionMatrix.dMTable.Row [*].rating.rawValue is nothing)

    {
    Poster a warning prompt that indicates the form is incomplete

    xfa.host.messageBox ("incomplete form.  Please fill all of the scoring. ","warning ", 3);
    }

    ...

    But it doesn't seem to work.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

    The seal contains a table with 10 rows and 3 columns (a_, b_ and c_). The calls button 'Continue' by clicking on the click event, which runs through the table looking for NULL values in each column per row. The "ratingMissing" flag controls the visibility of the page 2.

    Form1.Page1.Subform1.continueBtn::click - (JavaScript, client)

    var ratingMissing = false;

    for (var i = 0; i)< 10;="" i++)="">

    var line = i + 1;

    If (xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.subform1.table.row["_+_i_+_"].a_").rawValue == null) {}

    xfa.host.messageBox ("A is missing in row"+ row);

    ratingMissing = true;

    }

    If (xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.subform1.table.row["_+_i_+_"].b_").rawValue == null) {}

    xfa.host.messageBox ("B is not in the line" + row);

    ratingMissing = true;

    }

    If (xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.subform1.table.row["_+_i_+_"].c_").rawValue == null) {}

    xfa.host.messageBox ("C is missing in the row" + row);

    ratingMissing = true;

    }

    }

    If (ratingMissing == false) {}

    Form1.Page2.presence = "visible";

    }

    else {}

    Form1.Page2.presence = 'hidden ';

    }
