-Add-ons hidden in Firefox 12.0 beta update

After looking through the forums, it appears to be identical to the question regarding an update to Firefox 7. However, all the tools to bring the Add-ons have been taken down as the problem has been fixed in 7.0.1.

Is there a way to solve this problem in Firefox 12? All my modules seem to work fine (NoScript, TMP, etc.) and I can even access the prefs for those who put a link in the Tools menu or I placed on the address bar via a button. But they do not appear in the topic: the Add-ons window that reports that "you have installed such Add-ons."

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to do a check of compatibility or to see if there is an available update compatibility.

  • Add-ons Manager crashes Firefox when I open it.

I use Linux Mint 10 and Firefox 4b11pre, although this has happened since at least b9pre. I'm under Fx in my home folder as it is downloaded from Mozilla, not a PAL. This happens on 'stable' beta versions, but also the "pre" versions I used to be able to "suck" the databases with Bleachbit program and the problem should go away... for a while. Now it's more emotional.

In addition, and I think it's important, all of THE modules are working properly. Everything works except that I can't open the crib of the add-on.

The add-on Manager (huge, heavy and unresponsive) new simply stops working. He does not or partially loads and darkens in the browser, which means a program is not Linux. I then have to force to leave Firefox.

If I crash reporting active I am never asked to submit a report.

In this case completely at random. It is not associated with any particular add-on I can say. I spent several hours trying to diagnose this problem without success.

    Things I've done:

1 build a completely fresh profile. I did it many times combining many different situations, and the problem still happens. It happens with the default settings when I change only the settings of the Preferences dialog box, and when I change the settings via subject: config. I also used the switch to safe mode to reset all settings, but it still happens. Similarly, I have re-downloaded Firefox itself, 'pre' and 'stable' for fear of corruption by updates, that's already happened, but this does nothing either.

2 safe mode. If I chose to disable all modules in the safe mode dialog box, restart Firefox Add-ons Manager work. At some point, I have approximately 30 active modules, mainly the standard (Adblock, No Script, etc.) and although I am simply playing with.

Now, when I start to activate the Add-ons, the Add-ons Manager work. I can turn on, say, 5 at a time, completely at random, and it will continue to work until I get to about 25, then it dies. I deleted all modules except those approved by Mozilla Add-ons Web site out there. Then with approved all the Add-ons (and still a manager does not) I disabled all add-ons, restarted and activated one by one. Enable, restart. Enable, restart. Then, randomly, it just stopped working and freezes. I made this several times and totally random orders. He's not on any Add on specific and it always happens between 21 and 27 active cases. You can imagine how frustrating it is, because the Add-ons Manager has no way to activate the mass, or the number of Add-ons.

Finally, I don't receive any red flags in the error console and has exhausted my knowledge of debugging in Firefox. I get no error when running the terminal either. As I said, all the modules are working properly. I did the other combinations of things, if it's a logical off shoot of what I mentioned above, then I probably did. I've looked everywhere, Bugzilla, Google, Add on bugs, etc. anything.

Sorry it was so long, if I can't manage my Add-ons there is simply no reason to continue to use Firefox, but as is normally the best browser autour, I don't want to deal with this option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why the Add-ons Manager fail to Reconize that I updated my FF 3.6 to 6.0.2?

I decided to update my FireFox after a long passage of not to use. Now I'm browsing add ons and whenever I try to install an add on I get an error telling me that I use an outdated version of FireFox and you want to update. I am running 6.0.2 and the Add-ons Manager tells me that I'm under 3.6. I even uninstalled and reinstalled and same problem.

  • Add ons page in Firefox posted in poor graphics - problems with the plugins?

Hi, since 2 days my Firefox on my laptop has acted weird when he suddenly refreshed himself. When I go to page addons, the graphics looks very poor (see image) and, therefore, Youtube. I went to see if the plug-ins had issues and saw that the Java Toolkit is in a vulnerable state and are not available (Firefox just will not let me to this page of Java because it is not approved). I tried to re - install the Session manager add on, but the entire page of this add-on icons - ons seems disabled. My Firefox is updated according to the Firefox itself. Please advise me what to do, like many, I would get my old (functioning) back of Firefox, and that would be the best way to uninstall it, as clearly that did not work either?

    Thank you in advance.

  • I can't find Add-ons that will be disabled when I update to Firefox 11.0

I received a message from the installer that four of my extensions will be disabled when I install Firefox 11.0. I tried to find these updates of the extension, but could not.

The XULRunner extension is seen as a malware, so you probably better should remove this extension of your current configuration.

Java Console extensions are not necessary.

You only need the extension of the Java Console (Tools > Modules > Extensions) If you want to check and debug Java applets.

You can uninstall and remove extensions of the Java Console, you do not need to run Java applets.

  • Slower due to the Firefox Add-ons.

This isn't a specific question, as this is more a general frustration with Firefox. I notice that Firefox is much faster if I turn off modules I have installed over the years. It seems that Firefox gets a bad wrap because some add-ons slow down Firefox. Are there no comparative analysis of the tools available to show before and after the results of the use of an add-on? I use 5 of 19 modules at the moment and the performance is much faster. All this time, I just thought that Firefox sucked while disabling modules leads me to believe that the person in charge of this slowdown is due to an add-on.

In any case, I think that if Mozilla wants to protect their reputation more, comparative analysis tools should be a tool, a user can interact with.

This thread is 12 months old. Mozilla has recently worked on this issue of modules.

  • How to stop adware Add-ons to autodownloading and allow

Lately, I noticed that in my modules I get advertising software that will download automatically on my list of Add-ons and then turn on itself. • Many Add - ons unverified after FF43 update

Many Add-ons appeared as not verified after FF43 update. I used them for a long time and they were perfectly fine with previous versions of FF. How can I continue to use? Even the dictionary with my local language and the DAP are unverified. How can I use external modules installed, rather than the site of Mozilla, like DAP add-on for example, that came with the installation of DAP again? Button of Pinterest coming Pinterest site also does not work.

My suggestion is to add unverified option Add-ons for could be enabled too also manually by the user. With the adequate warning that this is recommended for users experienced.

I don't mind provide your comments because it would probably unnecessary as "feedback". Just, let me remind that users - their number and their satisfaction - is it that help a browser to be at the top. When I switched from IE to FF, it was because FF satisfies me a lot more, and it has been and still is the best browser imho. But nothing is constant, even the love of fans hardliners like me, and who are one thing is constant could only make a mistake.

PS. I suggested something, but not to appear that I run from the problem.

  • I found a Visual bug using the latest Firefox and several add-ons, who do I contact to talk about?

I would illustrate it rather using a screenshot that describing it. Anyway, I don't know what add-on, or a combination, but the first line under the 'View' menu bar element is empty, that's it - a minor problem. I do not know who to contact to display this glitch, is there anyone open to or interested by this feedback?

You can attach a screenshot here in your next post, if you wish.

We are interested, but you're going to have to help us. We are just a group of volunteers here balance our busy lives while offering support for Firefox. Since you already have all the addons installed, it will be much easier for you to understand who is the cause of this parasite.

This is no easy task for us. If you are going to need know exactly what addon is causing this problem if you want to be just about that and give a decent chance to resolve this to the author of the addon.

Since you have so many addons, I is advisable to disable at least 5 addons at once, restart Firefox and then check "Show" to see if the problem has disappeared. If Yes, then you need to focus your attention on individual activation & deactivation these 5 addons until you see the glitch to return. Then you know what addon to blame. I bet it's Menu Icons Plus or personal Menu.
