Add or remove parameters to effect

Hello

Does anyone know if it is possible to add or remove the effect parameters after the initial event of the PF_Cmd_PARAM_SETUP?

I would like to be able to select a certain number of items to add to the animation using a parameter, then generating a certain number of selectors of color with a color by default for each element, but giving the user the opportunity to customize the color. You could almost picture that's how to draw a graph in excel - you get a color by default for each set of data, but then you probably want to customize each or some of them yourself.

I saw this thread about changing the pop-up http://forums.adobe.com/message/3274585#3274585 and the response was that it is not possible, so I am not very optimistic.

My only other option would be to limit the number of items and create as many hidden settings that could then be displayed when the number is selected. It's not ideal because he could have a few hundred items, but often can be less than 10 as it seems a little unwieldy to do somehow.

On a related note - I can change the name of the parameter after the event of Setup initial settings or is it overcorrected?

Thanks in advance

Phil

mdoepfer1234 is correct. You cannot add at any time other than the initial installation params.

Let's not mdoepfer1234. You can change the name of a parameter, by getting his streamRef and by changing the name of the stream.

Sorry for the declarant, you're wrong mdoepfer1234! I just found these two adjacent lines funny! :-)

the change of name does not stick well between sessions. When you load a project, the default names will be reused. (just rename them again on sequence_resetup)

There is another solution to add parameters, and it is not easy to achieve.

search plug-in for AE "Plexus".

It adds additional effects to layer of th who do nothing but contain sets of controls, and the main effect reads their all rendered params.
