Add Simulator to Eclipse JDE-Plugin

Hello

I want to add a device-Simulator Blackberry JDE Plugin Eclipse.
I copied the SimulatorCommand8310-Vodafone and Vodafone SimulatorDirectory8310 of SIMULATORDIR\SimPackage-4.2.2.154_8310-Vodafone.rc to EJDEDIR\plugins\net.rim.eide.componentpack4.3.0_4.3.0.8\components\simulator\SimPackage-JDE.rc, but it does not work. Is there another file, where I have to change something?

Thank you very much for your help!

Plugins eclipse comes with the Pack 4.5 component. To use the other packs component and simulators, in Eclipse, you must download the update of the Eclipse software for the JDE component Pack you need. You can find them in here:

http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/javaappdev/javaeclipseplug.jsp

You can then select the comoponent pack to use in the window-> Preferences-> BlackBerry JDE-> installed components.  This allows you to use the simulators available for the component selected pack.

  • JDE Plugin for eclipse 1.1 beta

Installed eclipse 3.5. downloaded and installed the JDE Plugin for eclipse 1.1 beta.

Works on my 32-bit computer running under XP, but on 64 bit Vista running - no BlackBerry no associated menus and components displayed, despite having the BlackBerry logo appear on the 'About' window and 5.0.0.11 as version number version.

Tried to use new 32-bit emulation, but still no joy.

Anyone who has tried this combination with success. I managed to get the 1.0 plugin works well under Vista 64-bit (with some minor constraints), but may not work whats up with the new plugin.

Downloaded eclipse 3.5.0 but that did not work.

When I finally checked the newspapers eclipse he was using jdk 5 and not 6. Reran with vm - jdk6 and the plugin is loaded.

Now, if only the Simulator was not dead slow would be wonderful.

  • Download plugin Eclipse JDE

What is someone is able to download the JDE Eclipse plugin?  The zip file seems to be corrupted.  I tried to download about 10 times with IE and FF.  No love.

At the bottom of the plugin download page, there will be a link to "Download the Complete Eclipse Software Update". It's 500 MB or more, so it'll take a while to download. Download Eclipse Classic 3.4.1 Eclipse.org so... to launch Eclipse, go to help-> software updates-> add a Site-> Archive and select the downloaded Zip file. It should give you a list of available plugins to install... Select the JDE plugin and component 4.3 and 4.5 packs (you can select the 4.6 and 4.7 expensive if you want).

    I hope this has helped!

  • Project files Eclipse (BB JDE Plugin) to record in the version control system?

    Hi all

What are the files to save in a BB App Version control system developed with the JDE plugin for Eclipse?

    And those to be excluded?

In addition the .java, HR Manager, rrc files and images to follow, what are those needed for Eclipse and those for the BB plugin? Others?

Except .cod, .jar and .jad, what are the "useless"?

    Thanks in advance,

    JDW is the workspace
JDP is the description of the project
    all the others are useless.

  • Problem to generate a library with the JDE plugin for Eclipse

    Hello world

I created a new library project in my workspace. I used the JDE plugin for Eclipse create this project (New-> other-> BlackBerry project) but when I build my project, I receive a generated .class file, there is no file .jar and .cod generated

Somedoby there any idea why the generation process seems not to work?

    Thanks in advance.

OK, I did it for all the people who might encounter the same problem: start your process of generation by selecting generate BlackBerry Configuration Active (Alt + B) instead of a simple plan to build in the Project menu and your compilation works through very well.

  • Problems with the plugin eclipse JDE for today

    Hello

I am very very frustrated... I have the same problemfor the third time!
Today I started my eclipse to work on my blackberry application and all my projects have disappeared. No project has been posted.
I do not change my area of work or something like that!

So I imported "blackberry existing projects into workspace" and return to my projects. Cool, but now I can not compile, debug, I can't do anything because the componentpack of the RIM is not in the way of construction more.

I don't know how to describe... The single 't corrected it the last time was a relocation of all eclipse and JDE plugin. But this time I have already installed key sign, so I can't uninstall my eclipse without losing them.

Please help me, I can't work with this buggy thing...

I use Windows XP SP 2 with latest Eclipse and JDE 4.7... I downloaded 2 screenshots so that you can see my problem: http://files.killinger-it.com/eclipse/eclipse.jpg and http://files.killinger-it.com/eclipse/cmd.jpg

RIM support team has solved my problem. This is a settings file broken.

If you have the same problems (no workspace of blackberry, no compilation, etc.) easily remove the file:

    C:\Programme\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.eide.componentpack4.5.0_4.5.0.16\components\bin\settings.rc

I recommend that you install the full Eclipse and BlackBerry development environment from this link:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/javaappdev/JavaPlugin.jsp

Keep in mind that you need: Java® SE Development Kit (JDK) 6 update 10 or later. -to install this version (have you installed already?).

Select a new directory such as C:\eclipse_bb you can do it is completely clean of your other environment that is already configured.  Launch eclipse in this new directory and it should work.  Let me know what happens.

  • Problem when launching an application in the Simulator with Eclipse

When I try to launch my app in the Simulator in Eclipse, I get the following error:

An internal error occurred during: "Android-my-app launch"

    com/android/sdklib/xml/ManifestData

I guess there is something my manifesto, but my app works fine on the Simulator Android and the market and the actual hardware. Also, I could check my apk online and everything was fine. Is there something that I am missing?

    Thank you!

I solved this problem by installing beta Plugin for Eclipse version BB.

Here: https://developer.blackberry.com/android/documentation/install_plugin_prerequisites_1895476_11.html I read that they suggest to use the beta rev 20 ADT plugin. I installed and now everything works for me.

    Here's the URL for Eclipse:

    https://bdsc.webapps.BlackBerry.com/Android/downloads/eclipseplugin/beta/

    Try this solution. Good luck!

  • by using the Simulator on Eclipse

I have been using eclipse for the coding and packaging, this is a nice tool.  -for debugging, I used the Blackberry JDE. Currently running the Simulator in the BB JDE is not complicated but when multiple API versions has to be tested as well as having a production version and a version of development running the number of workspaces increases. I therefore decided to take a go at the Simulator in Eclipse. After an hour I had it almost working but finally ends and "Device error - Blackberry Smartphone Simulator", "the catastrophic Assertion failure". If the BB JDE Simulator is "screwdriver", the eclipse is a double "Swiss Army Knife". So many settings and not a lot of explanation (that I found). Is there a 'manual' on the use of the Simulator on Eclipse somewhere?

For example. In the BB JDE, I put a flag on a module is a module system, and must be loaded initially. Not found in Eclipse. There are a lot of other parameters. I want just a basic configuration which works like the BB JDE. The main application is a Midlet and my modules are still running listeners

It is a mistake of the BlackBerry smartphone itself Simulator (Windows application), not simulated applications.

    Please, try the following:

    1. Click the Project menu in Eclipse.
    2. Choose BlackBerry-> own Simulator...
    3. Select all, and then click OK.

This will reset all the BlackBerry smartphone simulators to their default state.  Now repackage and run your application again.

  • BlackBerry JDE plugin hangs during installation

So I have Eclipse 3.4 installed and downloaded the BB JDE plugin 1.0.0.67 + 4.5 combo executable installer component. When I install the JDE plugin, it goes through all the steps of component installation, but then gets stuck at the end of the phase "install...". ». The progress bar is almost 100% complete, and the above text it just says "install...". ». I left the night yesterday and came back this morning and it is still stuck in this State. The Task Manager shows that the "javaw.exe" process related to the installer using ~ 100% of one of the 2 processors.

I tried to remove all the "net.rim" their records of my eclipse installation and re-run Setup and it gets stuck every time.

Someone has encountered this problem before? Happens to me every time both at work and home, so I guess that others have seen too?

    Thank you!

OK, I solved it by installing the JDE plugin in a 'clean' folder eclipse on which no previous BB JDE plugin has been installed. Install BB JDE plugin seems to have some problem writing on the old files created by himself.

  • Configurations of Simulator in Eclipse 1.1

I've just updated the plugin Eclipse 1.1 and am quite willing to start using the ability to warm.  However, I'm fighting to get the Simulator to work with this version.  Most of the time things worked less than 1.0 when I would click on debug or run and I've never dug in how it was all set up.  To start, I'm a bit confused as to what simulators should be used, as I have heaps of them under:

    "C:\Program Files\Reasearch in Motion\BlackBerry Smartphone simulators xxxxx\"

But there are also those in component packs under:

    "(Eclipse plugins)\net.rim.ejde.componentpackxxxxxxxxx\components\simulator

Eclipse configurations seem to point to the first set, when I look at the command-line on the Advanced tab.  When I create a new configuration, none of the fall of the unit options point to simulators in the new component pack.  They must?  The announcement of the RIM when speaks of "opportunity with our latest simulators...» "for hot-swap.  Who are the last?

All that being said, my real problem is that the debugger attaches ever.  When I choose to run any debug configuration, it will launch the Simulator, getto "Debugger is attached" and stay there forever.  Try "Simulator of BlackBerry running Debug" (for example, after using to run to start) always errors that it is already a running debug session.

Any help on how you've configured Eclipse 1.1 and/or your simulators best launch and connect would be most appreciated!

    Thank you

    Jim

You must choose a JRE in your project that you are targeting. That target you, your simulators are indicated in the list tab Simulator for your debug or launch configuration.

Are what Simulator you trying to test?

  • How to add another Simulator to Eclipse

I have bundle eclipse installed with 9800 torch Simulator. now, I want to add another Simulator. I downloaded and installed the Simulator also 9780 with os 6, but I can't choose my menu of eclipse Simulator. How can I let it slip away now where to look for the simulators?

It is just as is the case, copy all the files of the new files installed Simulator programs to eclipse/plugin/rim.../components/simulators and restart eclipse. After that one can choose the type of device.

  • BlackBerry JDE plugin for Eclipse

I'm new to the Blackberry development.  The first thing I did was downloaded "BlackBerry_JDE_PluginFull_1.0.0.67.exe".  I followed the installation instructions and the process is stuck at the 'Installation' stage and never be able to complete the installation of the plug-in.  Then I downloaded "eJDE1.0.0.67_With_CP4.5.0.16.zip" and add the plugin Eclipse Software Update.  After Eclipse installation is complete, the "Blackberry" is added to the list of functions.  When I click on "Blackberry", only "installation Signature keys' shows.  The "signature of the query" and "Workspace to configure Blackberry" were gray outside.  I tried to search for the file with .cod on my pc and can not find.

What should I do next to get the Eclipse environment for the development of Blackberry running?

    Emily

I'm not sure I understand your questions, but if you try to create a new project of BlackBerry, go to file > New > project and select BlackBerry project. If you have an existing project, you can add it to your workspace by file > import, and then click BlackBerry project.

To test the project, you can select "Debug as BlackBerry Simulator". To install the application on your phone, you must create the ALX file (right-click on the project and select "Generate ALX file") and then point the BlackBerry Manager to the Application loader in the ALX file.

  • Getting BB JDE Plugin for Eclipse work?

    Hello

I was now almost two days on this and am nowhere near where I need to be - more no matter I can't do the BB JDE plug-in for Eclipse work not at all.

    Steps, I tried:

    1. download the latest version of Eclipse on the Eclipse site

    2 installed Eclipse

3 downloaded the BlackBerry Java plug-in for Eclipse v1.1 (full installation program)

    4. install the plug-in

This succeeded without error reported, and no errors in the log in the root directory but when starting Eclipse eclipses, I get without the slightest trace of what either Blackberry - Blackberry no draft, no menus, no different a simple installation of Eclipse.

I repeated the above on a clean eclipse install but open Eclipse between steps 1 and 2, to see if Eclipse to initialize anything - same result, without success.

Then I saw that plugin BB Setup includes in fact a full install of eclipse, so I erased my efforts earlier and just ran the installer of plugin.  This completed without error, but once again there is no trace what whether Blackberry in the eclipse resulting only install - no Blackberry project, no menus.  Another failure.

Some recent posts offers to install the plugins and packs of component from within a clean Eclipse install via 'Help-> add new software (or equivalent depending on the version of Eclipse used)', but the often detached url of http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/javaappdev/javaeclipseplug.jsp just gives me a 404 error, as does a second suggested link on http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate

Others recommend downloading archives separately, once again on the javaeclipseplug.jsp page, once again it is an option that is not available.

I don't have a weird Setup or interesting, just Windows 7 32 bit with 4 GB of ram - I can't understand what he could possible be wrong!  Everything I tried, each path suggested at the forum and blog messages either do not work or use the old pages which I can't find the equivalent on the Blackberry site today.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  It's incredibly frustrating.

Very strange.  What folder you installed Eclipse in?  I've seen problems if you install in a folder with spaces (e.g. "Program Files")

Also, what JDK do you have.  You need JDK 6u10 minimum, but there are problems with the u21 and Eclipse so if you have a u21 he may not work.
