Add the 2 columns to date

Hi all

I have a requirement where I have a column date and number in the other column. Its similar is Hire_date column that has a value of date (2009-01-17) and the other column is the Service over the years which is like a number (5).

Now, I have to add one more column who should add the two columns (date of hire + Service over the years) and give the voltage output (17/01/2014).

Can someone help me please how can I do this in OBIEE report.

Thanks in advance!

Any help would be very crowded.

correct your expression;

TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_MONTH, (TIMESTAMPDIFF (SQL_TSI_MONTH, 'Employee'. "" Date of hire ".

VALUEOF (CURRENT_DT))), "employee." ("" Date of hire ")

what you are aiming for using above? Why you should add and subtract?

As the General best practices. You do not direct operations on the ACTIVE database rather test the application in the test environment.

on the other hand if your column is NOT NULL then it will affect your application otherwise no impact

    2. Add the text element in the layout editor. But this position is not correct. It overlaps with another column. How to add the new column to the layout editor?

In the layout editor, you can simply drag the fields so that they do not overlap.

ORA-01735: invalid option of ALTER TABLE

If the query I've tried is correct?

    Give me your suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

As long as you're on 11 GR 2 or lower, it will not work.

There is no Clause "AFTER"in the alter table do not add column."

You have the chance to use dbms_redefinition (when no interruption of service is possible) or manually create a new table with the columns in the order you need and then migrate the data and then drop the original and rename a new.

In case you are already on 12 c, you have a chance to add the column to the end and then make visible columns and invisible status in the right order. This way your column will get to the position that you want it to be.

  • How to read the two columns of data in a file of PDM.

    Hi all

I am reading two data columns for the 2nd of a PDM file two sheets, as shown below.

Two columns of data must then be shared so they can be displayed in a xy chart and also apply a linear adjustment VI. I implemented the graph xy and linear adjustment using a txt file (see below), therefore all the outputs work, however this application with a tdms file turns a little more tax.

So, essentially, that I don't know how read the correct leaf and therefore the columns in the PDM file and then how to produce the graph xy and linear adjustment of the data types produce. Here's my current attempt, which produces several errors of the type of terminal, as well as not being able to select the exact data in the PDM.

Any help/suggestions/example vi on this asap would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Pete

Also the PDM file viewer. VI helps you easily understand the structure of data files.

  • Add the total size of data store and space remaining

    Hi,

What would be the easist way to add the total datastore size and remaining datastore size to the following.
I do emphasise, esasiest, since I'm as green as can be to powercli, powershell for that matter. I'm trying to learn in babysteps

    Get - VM $VM | %{ $_. Name; ($_ | get-datastore | select name). Name}

At the moment I get day like this, I get to the above.

DataStoreName (Add info here on DS size?)

    vmname

DataStoreName (Add info here on DS size?)

    vmname

    ...

    ...

    ...

    Thank you!!

The $_ represents the object that has been passed through pipeline (the ' |') of the previous cmdlet.

    For example

    Get - VM | %{$_. Name}

The cmdlet Get - VM will get all the VMs on the servers of vSphere to which you are connected.

The pipeline ('|) ') said these VM objects one by one to the following code.

In what is a Foreach-Object (alias is '%') who will send the name of the virtual machine (available in the variable $_) to the default output.

On a Select-Object cmdlet, you can select properties of the object that was passed through the pipeline, or you can use what is called a "calculated property. Such a calculated property consists of a pair of hash, name (N) and Expression.

Obviously, name is the name you want to give to this calculated property.

Expression is the block of code that must be executed.

    For example

    Get-Datastore. Select Name,@{N="CapacityGB; E={$_. CapacityMB/1 KB}}

All database objects are passed to the Select-Object cmdlet.

The Select cmdlet displays the name of the data store, and it will display a property called CapcityGB, which displays the ability to store data in GB.

Notice how the property CapacityMB that is present in the data store object is converted to GB by the code in the Expression block.

The part of the Expression has not always need to do something with a property of the object that was passed.

    For example

    Get - VM | Select Name, @{N = 'Current time'; E = {Get-Date}}

In this case the Select-Object cmdlet displays the Name property of the virtual computer object that has been sent.

And it will display the current time as the propertyname "current time".

This is an example of a calculated property that has nothing to with the object passed through the pipeline.

I hope that clarifies the code a bit.

  • Add the new column to Admin tool, including the SQL Code

    Hi all

I am new to OBIEE and I already searched here in the forum but have not found an exact answer which could help me.
I have a table in the warehouse where to get information on employees. It's employe_id, manager_id and name.
    Example:
    Employe_id Manager_ID name
    1 Mueller
    2 1 Meier

Now, I would like to create a new column in the Mapping BI Admin tool business layer and add a SQL where to select the name of the Manager.
Is this possible? And how can we do it? It will work with a new logical column? Where we add the SQL Code?

I hope someone can answer my question!
    Thank you very much!

    Kind regards
    David

OK, I think I got it - the name of Manager is on a separate table (or a search to return to the current table) and your thinking that you want to label your SQL in the report to find the name of Manager based on Director ID, you have?

If so, import the table with the names of Manager in the physical layer. If this is the same table that you already have (but want to search him in the current table) then you need to create an alias for the current table.

For each new table in the Phy layer, or an alias - define the join (current_table.manager_id = manager_table_or_aliased_current_table.employee_id)

Once completed, we will on the source of the logic table in the MDB for this dimension, edit, on the general tab, "Add" and select the table / alias that you created in the phy layer. Click OK - it combines now two tables attached as a source - you can then map the name of the Manager search in your column 'name '.

  • Data source cannot be created: [MapperConfig] unable to add the source of card data.

    Hi Marco,.

I had the same problem with the MapViewer and a RAC.

You define your data source in the MapViewerConfig.xml? You will find this XML code under: j2ee/mapviewer/applications/mapviewer/web/WEB-INF/conf

If so, you need to restart your OC4J Instance with the option "-userThreads. You can do this in the properties of the server administration/mapviewer/unter EnterpriseManager or with the opmn.

So, I think, you have first to define your data source in the configuration file. Otherwise, it does not have with a CAR.

    I hope this helps.

  • Add the new column to the table, having trouble adding to an existing form

I added a new column to a table that has an existing report and on this form. I was able to get the new column in the report, but I can't seem to get in shape. Can anyone give me a suggestion as how to proceed without having to recreate the form?

  • Add the new column on BSE page

    HII ALL

I have a search page when I search on this page with a few criteria
It shows a region of array type on what it shows all records in the db, that match this search criteria
now, I want to add a column at the end of this table on the EBS page that displays
and I want to show some value related to this record that is displayed on this table

How can I get this value db linked to some folder basis

and how do I set new column at the end of the table?

    Hussain

Here are the steps you need to perform.
    1) go to the page with this region of the table. Click on this link page
    (2) check the name of the VO attached with the region of the table and click
    (3) in this page, you can see all of the attributes that are present in the original Version
    (4) if the new attribute you want to display exists in the vol. note his name.
    (5) create a new column in the region of the table through customization and attach this attribute VO with her as well as the view Instance.

If this attribute does not exist in the original Version, then you must go for the extension of the VO.

    It could be useful!
