Add the second HD to Pavilion a6750t PC

Did someone added a second HD at their Pavilion a6750t PC? When I opened the box, I see that there is physical space available and potentally plug a SATA. But before I go and buy one that I would like to know if someone has done it before and if there is any "traps" to watch.

You should be fine.

Not in the way you probably do. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See Page 50. Unlike the Envy 17 and Pavilion dv7, Pavilion 17 has that a single hard drive Bay. The only way to add a second hard drive is to remove the DVD (optical drive) and insert a DVD to the hard drive bay adapter. The manual shows how to remove the DVD player and you can buy the adapter at amazon.com or jacobsparts.com. Note that this is a 9.5 mm thick disc, not a 12.7 mm. Both types are available. I do not recommend the adapter DVD player solution because you lose the use of the optical drive, and also because the interface of optical drive is usually not as fast as the main hard drive interface. Always fast enough for simple storage and you can run a video of her, but you do not want to edit the video of this disc, for example.

    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-02/

If you decide to go the route of adapter DVD I would buy a large capacity 5400 RPM SATA 2.5 inches wide and drive hard thickness 9.5 mm. No sense in buying a reader more expensive high-performance.

  • Advanced conditional action does not work when I add the second condition

I use CP 8. I can't understand why I'm running on this problem. I have a series of If-Then conditional actions, but I am running into problems. I narrowed down it to this problem.

It is a simple check box that must show either the box or not.

    Action1.jpg

As long as I have only one condition, it works fine. As soon as I add the second condition, it stops working.

    Action2.jpg

Any suggestions? I appreciate the help!

Rick and I tried to explain that a conditional action is always executed completely. This is the reason that the second decision has been reset what had been done in the first in your first question. I have a lot of articles on my blog where I point out that bad sequence in the decision (or) is causing most of the problems with conditional advanced (shared) actions.

  • Add the second NETWORK card to vSwitch

I'm working on trying to add to install a second NIC physical to the vswitch which is installed by default when ESXi. I use the code below, but when I run it, it disconnects in fact the main physical network card and of course, I then lose connection. I tried different varients of this and even finished by adding a port of vmk, which I didn't do. I just want to add the second network card as a standby card network.

#Add second NIC to the virtual switch
    $nic = Get-VirtualSwitch -VMHost $currentHost -Name "vSwitch0"
    Set-VirtualSwitch -VirtualSwitch $nic -Nic vmnic1

The cmdlet Set-VirtualSwitch accepts a string array as the value of the parameter - Nic. So you should be able to:

#Add second NIC to the virtual switch
    $nic = Get-VirtualSwitch -VMHost $currentHost -Name "vSwitch0"
    Set-VirtualSwitch -VirtualSwitch $nic -Nic vmnic1,vmnic2

  • Add the second hard drive to a desktop Pc HP Pavilion P6-2100

I want to add a second hard drive to a HP Pavilion A1700n Pc desktop to a new HP Pavilion P6-2100 Desktop Pc, so I can transfer files.

    milehisb,

Welcome on the user forums.  Section manuals PDF from HP did not offer a guide to upgrade and Service.

There are several options, depending on your needs and your expertise with the internal components of a computer.

If you goal is to simply get the data off the drive, then put it back in the A1700n, I would use #1.

    (1) use this external adapter for occasional use:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812232002

    (2) first search to find if you have a spare Sata power plug. Or you will need an adapter (molex 4pin to Sata).

  • Add the second hard drive for HP Pavilion dv7-3173nr

So rumor is my DV7 may take a second hard drive.

So I got a second drive, open the bottom where the reader will, and there is no SATA connector. Apparently I need a shopping cart or something, but I can't. Am I missing something obvious?

    Thank you.

Yes you need a shopping cart and a connector. The interface is not a standard SATA plug... There is a cable that connects the SATA drive in a small plug in the second Bay.

  • Add the SSD for HP Pavilion desktop computer

    Hello

I would like to add an SSD for my HP Pavilion 500-035ed (office). I do not want to replace the existing drive, I would add a second drive.

I have already noticed a free sata connection and a free power cable, but I didn't notice a physical position for the support and the screws etc...

Does anyone know if there is a manual that describes the physical position for a 2nd drive in HP Pavilion 500-035ed (office)?

    Thanks in advance,

    S.J. Westra

    Hello

Look at the picture below and see if your model is configured for one SSD installation.

I see that your particular model is native/sold to the Netherlands.  There is a forum member that frequents this forum who lives in the Netherlands. Hmmmm that's a good guy!

But you can test some buffers cooling like this:

  • Is it possible to add the second graphics card for this model Y510p?

I've been doing mixed responses from customer service chat lenovo so I'm posting my question here. Recently, I bought this laptop. It comes with a single graphics card. I heard this model has ultrabay and you add another graphics card. My question is - is it true that you can add a second graphics card in this system by using ultrabay? Please let me know. I'm confused if SLI and ultrabay means the same thing. If this is the case, then this system is not sli. I appreciate your help.

    http://shop.Lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/LENOVO/y-series/y510p/?SB=:000001 C 9: 00011E0A:

Also, don't forget to find the extra $20 or sometimes $50 discount code for the Lenovo y510p and apply it to the Fund. The time I bought my laptop I used the code USPY5168320, you will find a similar code if this does not work.

  • Add the second hard drive to HPE-400Z

I am trying to add a secondary hard drive to expand the storage space that I only have 10% of free space on the current.

"Will buy one online" Seagate Desktop drive HARD 2 to 7200 tr / MIN SATA 6 Gb/s 64 MB Cache 3.5 "-drive retail Kit internal (STBD2000101)" enters the cage OK? Existing drive is Seagate 1 TB guess so, but do not get it and discover it doesn't work.

This disc has new SATA data and power cables.

It is clear that there is a free connection of motherboard "SATA2" for data, I can see it. Sounds easy.

What I can't understand is where and how the POWER cable is connected to... or what might be able to be used which already exists for power connectors in the office. There is a certain and they all have beautiful marking... "P3,"P8",...".

I found instructions on installing hard drive on HP site... everything is clear for me except for this problem of power cable.

Did he help me with that?

    GWRootjr, welcome to the forum.

This is an adapter 'Y' which should solve your problem:

You can connect a SATA power cable to do two on one.  This will allow you to connect the second HDD.

  • Add the second drive to ATC - 780

I just purchased an ATC-780-UR61 with a 2.5 ssd "standard that I would add as a second disk as the startup disk and use the disk of 1 TB for storage. Now, I understand that there are only 2 SATA connectors on the motherboard - the one used by the 1 TB drive and 1 by the dvd player.

Is it possible to add a second drive on this PC? I read some other models have a m2 connector to add a ssd drive to, but I don't see any documentation that the ATC-780.

    I can confirm:

    NGFFM1 m2 SSD connector

It is on the right side of the motherboard near the SATA 2 ports.

    Hi Mike,.

If you know the password you used then the remaining details can be found by running the tool ODBC Admin on the Windows Server 2008 is configured correctly. You can use this to look at the correct settings without making any changes. There is no default value as such since the database server and database name are specific to your environment.

  • Adds the second SCSI controller & change the SCSI ID numbers?

    Hello

I have a need to add a couple of SCSI drives to my VMware Workstation VM (v10), and these drives need the SCSI ID of 1:x (i.e. who need a second controller).  Could someone give me some advice on the .vmx necessary parameters for this?  I looked at a few posts - which says that I must just add the readers in the UI, then change the SCSI ID in the .vmx... but it does not work.

    Any help is appreciated...

    Cheers, James

You will need to should not change at all .vmx file to achieve this.

Once you've added the hard drives on the virtual machine, click the Advanced button in the lower right of the settings of the Virtual Machine window.  The Virtual Device Node labeled popup should allow you to move the virtual hard drives SCSI 1:0, which will give you a second card SCSI.
