Added value package new updated day on Tecra A8 - PTA83E

Hello

I searched the site of updated drivers from Toshiba here and I found the update of the package of value added on Tecra A8 PTA83E on Windows Vista Business 32 bit and the name of the files that I downloaded from this site for this added value Package is: vap - 20080108130751.zip, but the problem is the content of this file is not for Tecra A8 PTA83 update! Is PTA82?

How can I get the update of this value-added package for Tecra A8 PTA83 for Vista Business 32 bit?

Please I need it so much... :(

Hello

As far as I know, there is no difference and this PPV can be used on both models. Have you tried to install it?

    Hello everyone.

I was wondering if Toshiba had released a new version of package of added value that is compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit for Qosmio F30-140?

To check, if Toshiba published new versions of the extra value package, drivers or BIOS, refer to the following page:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com (Support & downloads)

But, in my view, that nothing new has been posted, yet.

  • How do I install the Vista added value package

Help. I'm french, so it is difficult for me to explain my problem.
I want to install the driver 200801091 vap. But when I try to do it after the zipper I have this message: "another version of this product is installed desinstalled so it before in the configuration.

It is therefore necessary uninstall Toshiba additional package and reinstall the three programs: PVAT (V1.1.7) for model 2button PVAT (V1.1.7) for the model 6 and PVAT (V1.1.7) for any model of button?

    Thank you

Well, as you already said that Toshiba added value the package must be removed first.
This can be done in the dashboard-> software

After you have deleted this Toshiba Software and have restarted the laptop, you can begin the installation of Toshiba value added package.

Regarding your question about 2 or 6 button version.
First check how many key Toshiba controls are supported on your laptop (without the power button)
If your computer supports 2 Toshiba controls buttons then install only the PVAT for model button 2.

  • Where to find Windows XP added value package (VAP) for Portege R500

Where can I find VAR for Windows XP for the R500 (SSD, without optical drive)? Because otherwise the fn keys do not work...
I tried to bypass the checking the version of Vista.

I customized and choose some options. Some fn keys work, others do not. And when we don't have each function key stop until I run flash back to zero (or something like that).

When can I suspect the VAR for XP software?

Sorry, but VAP (which means added Vista package) doesn't exist for Windows XP.
As the name already says s a package of Vista and is designed ONLY for Vista!

The FN keys are usually common Modules controller running on Windows XP.
So please make sure that this tool is installed.
In addition it is very important that all Toshiba drivers are installed in the correct order as mentioned in the installation instructions!

The Toshiba value added contains different applications Toshiba:

-Energy savings for change and optimal power settings
-Utilities to customize your hardware parameters
-Password utility allows you to set a password
-Flash Cards to provide the keyboard shortcut function

  • Satellite A100 - questions about the keys to the left hand and added value package

    Hello:

The work of doesn´t special keys on left hand. I mean, the keys under the power on button which usually starts the web browser and works with the DVD.

Another question. The value-added package that was installed on my laptop has got a call from the Toshiba Fash utility maps. When I upgraded to the latest version (previosly I had to uninstall it) this SW is not installed. How can I get it back?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Value added contains several applications:
    -Toshiba components pilot common
    -Toshiba Utilities
    -Toshiba PC Diagnostic tool
    -Toshiba Power Saver
    -Toshiba Button support
    -Toshiba zooming utility
    -Toshiba Flash cards

So as you can see, the button support is included in this package. I don't know what the problem is on your laptop, but when the VAP is installed correctly the multimedia buttons and Flash cards should work correctly.

Try again please remove VAP system, restart the computer and install the latest version available. This latest version works well on the different laptop models (on my Satellite P200D too) and it should work on your too.

    Hi Rpayne32,

    What laptop you have exactly?
Where did you downloaded package of added value?
The operating system that is pre-installed in Toshiba or your own installation of Windows that you are using?
Try you added value package update or new installation?

In my opinion, you should check your antivirus or firewall. I think that something is blocking the installation.

  • BIOS update failed on Tecra R10 with Windows7

    Hello

I have problems with the update the BIOS of my Tecra R10J. The current version is 1.4, and I want to upgrade to 3.0, so I downloaded from the Toshiba web site the good file named "P006Cv300.exe" 2009-11-04 released. It is an update of the BIOS online in a real session of Windows 7. Simply right click the compress exe, click Run as admin and that is all, but... for me, he said:
    * "[Error] the start of the service was abandoned. The user doesn't have administrative privileges. "

    See below:
    http://perso.Orange.fr/100Mo/bioserror.jpg

    I tried with:
    -closed AV, firewall, etc...
    -turn off UAC
    -Run as administrator
    -Tried with another admin account
-Safe mode (update of the bios doesn't support safe mode)
    -lead the local administrator session

No change. Always the message "user lacks administrative privileges."
Need help please, found nothing on Google (similar but not resolved Bios problem!)

    Thank you

    Hey ignore them,

As Akuma has already written the added value Package must be installed for BIOS update for the BIOS to read system information correctly. Besides, the VAP is needed for special functions such as the FN keys so it must be installed.

It would be interesting to know what is happening with the factory settings. I guess that your computer laptop wasn t ship with Windows 7, but with Vista and you should try it with Vista.

    Welcome them

Could someone help me please... I have no idea why he did this.

    Hello

I remembered that this topic has already been discussed here in the forum.
I searched a bit and found this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=20471&MessageID=75256

You will find the same deal and the solution!
The problem has been resolved by the BIOS updated.

But be careful; the update of the BIOS is risky. Make sure you use the good BIOS and the procedure of updating right!

  • Installation upgrade value package

Belatedly, for various reasons (mainly the uncertainty and concern that I would mess up the computer at an inopportune time), I have round for a second attempt to install the published Package value update January 9, 2008 (with various other latest driver updates to install when I did). I used "Add and remove programs" to remove the old Toshiba Value Package added, cleaned the registry with CCleaner (as advised) - and ultimately all other registry cleaners that I had accumulated on the system! - but was always an error message that a version of the software was already installed and needed to be removed before installation could go forward.

Look further at the description of the package and the Toshiba software included in the "All programs" list, it seems that I could use as utility uninstal Toshiba. Is this correct? Y at - it another software, I have to uninstall to allow added value package of January to install successfully?

And finally, I was confused when I unzipped the files and found that there was a 'setup.exe' and 'toshiba Value Added... '. "I wasn't sure to click on--but found that both led to the injunction and there was another version on the disc that I first need to uninstall.

I guess what I really need, it's a "guide of l'idiot" installation of Toshiba driver updates: can anyone point me in the direction of one?

(Currently I used "System Restore" to get us back in where he was this morning before that I started trying to mess around with it).

Sorry, but boyfriend is stupid enough to discuss issues and don't know even what model of laptop you have. How to check the download file? Sorry, but this long number of zip file doesn't tell me much. Should we check out to 10 different models to see if the number corresponding to your one?

For example, VAP for my machine is vap-20080428124906.

Anyway, I removed VAP repeatedly on different laptops models and after restart I managed to install the most recent version available on the Toshiba support page. So now I wonder how I can do this and you do not. And please tell me who told you it work on cleaning the registry with CCleaner (as advised)? It is certainly not necessary to do so.

  • Tecra A8 PTA83E - installation of package of added value

    Tosiba Tecra A8 PTA83E
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate X 64

I was unable to install the Toshiba Value added package (vap-vista-1011btn-en) or any version before it. I talked to technical support Tosh for many times and they always promise of customer support will respond to the request, they never do.

Towards the end of the installation, start the process of "Computational space needs" an error dialog box that contains "ID_ERR_NOTINSTALLVALZ_MESSAGE". The only option available is 'ok' and when this field is selected the installation rolls back and the finishing screen says "The wizard was interrupted before that TOSHIBA Value Added Package can be installed completely".

I'm, I'm sure you understand, VERY frustrated by this problem. I bought (the very expensive) Vista Ultimate as Toshiba, claim that this laptop is Vista ready and it is quite possible, but the drivers and software provided are not. I also have problems with:

    Bluetooth
    Free config utility
    WinBIOS updater
    Audio driver
    Graphics driver

I will record these problems from another thread I want to deal with these problems one at a time.

Thanks in advance for any help being given/offered.

    Hello

You run the 64-bit version of Vista?

I m not very surprised that you are not able to install the Package Toshiba Vista added value.
All the drivers, tools, and utilities are designed for the 32-bit version of Vista!

To my knowledge the drivers 32 bit don t run on Vista 64-bit operating system!

Regarding the error ID NOTINSTALLVALZ ERR MESSAGE.
It seems that the BIOS update could solve this problem.

This was reported in different threads here in the Toshiba forum!

  • Re: How to remove the Package of added value?

I'm having issues (media buttons no longer work) with the package of added value of Toshiba (TAVP) on my Portege M800.
I want to update, but I can't do it before removing the old version of the TAVP. When I try to install the new TAVP, I get an error message saying that I need to remove the old version first.

Problem is, I can't find the TAVP on my "Add/Remove Programs" list The internet said it should be on the list, but it is not. The programs are on my computer.

They do not seem to be among the programs 'package of added value '. How can I remove the TAVP?

I use Vista and Win7 long on two laptops from Toshiba. On two of them Toshiba Value added Package is listed in the control panel > programs and features and then you can start to uninstall option.

I've done this several times. It must be there. He is listed as TOSHIBA Value added Package. Check it out at the bottom of the list under T.

  • Satellite P755-103 - cannot install the package of added value

    Hello

I recently bought a Satellite P755-103. In order to maintain the updated drivers, I downloaded Toshiba Value Package added to the downloads section of the page Web of Toshiba. (2 times, I'm sure that the driver is for my 64-bit version of Windows 7).
When I tried to install it, I got the repair and the options remove. Repair gave me this error: RegDBGetItem failed (1). So I removed completely the driver so that I can install it again. During the installation of the driver that I got the same error, so I couldn't install it, so now I'm unable to activate the shortcut keys PVAT gives me access.

If anyone knows something that might help with this problem please say something, it would be very apreciated.
    Sorry for my English.

    Thank you

    Hello

Value added package is still listed in the list of Windows software? If so, I would recommend removing it. Then restart your computer and try to reinstall the VAP.

If it doesn t work I would try CCleaner. That is a nice freeware tool to clean the registry. You can find the tool using Google. Just run the registry cleaner and then you should be able to install VAP.

Generally speaking, it s is not necessary to update the drivers if everything is ok. If you n t have any problems you can forget about these updates. ;)
