  It can get quite complicated because this is certainly not the standard features of LCM and would not be supported by VMware if this customization is not performed by the team of the Orchestration Services of our Professional Services organization... However, that being said, a general approach would be as follows:

  • Duplicate the workflow application for Virtual Machine to the category of workflow custom under user and give a custom name like ask VM

  • Add new entries to the custom workflow that are something like: additionalDiskCount (number) and additionalDiskSize (number) (which implies that all the additional disks would be the same size)

  • Update the workflow to store these values by using a standard LCM Action such as:

  System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm").addDataToTokenKeyAsString (provisioningToken, additionalDiskCount, "additionalDiskCount");

  System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm").addDataToTokenKeyAsString (provisioningToken, additionalDiskSize, "additionalDiskSize");

  The two lines above will store the specified user to other values that the token of data in the database of LCM and you will be able to get it back later because it is related to this particular request token.

  • Hide the initial request button of the tab requests and create a new button that points to your custom workflow

  • Create a new workflow that takes an object of lcm:ProvisioningToken as an entry called "token".

  • Inside of this workflow (let's call it 'Add disks to ask'), you will need to retrieve the additionalDiskCount and additionalDiskSize values that have been stored with the token:

  additionalDiskCount = System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm").getDataFromTokenKeyAsString (token, "additionalDiskCount");

  additionalDiskSize = System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm").getDataFromTokenKeyAsString (token, "additionalDiskSize");

  • You then get the object of VMware3:VirtualMachine of your token:

  VM = System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm.vim3").getVmFromToken (token);

  • Then, using those extracted values and the virtual computer object, use a loop to pass these parameters and some other default values you want in the workflow 'Add drive' (it's in the category library/VIM 3/Virtual Machine management/Device Management workflow.)

  • Once you have confirmed that this new workflow 'Add disks to ask' is working properly by passing only an object token with these entries of additional data stored with them, you can add this workflow for the reminder 'onCreate '.

  The above process is a general approach that could be taken. The specifics of real workflows that you create are up to you and the support of this customization

  There are times when we have a .swf object and associated xml files in a particular folder structure and we need to keep that in the content server because it will be internal references.
  Is there anyway where we can store the folder structure in UCM paths and use as /images/test.swf instead of the url httprelativewebroot.

  I think there are two ways that you could do this and basically what it is is what Jason says - if you make sure that they have type corresponding doc, group security and/or account, they will be in the same folder.

  An idea - you can use WebDav and setup a contribution with these predefined metadata folder. Then it would be just a drag and drop or copy / paste just like on a network drive. All files/folders that you copy to this folder of contribution should be labeled with the same info and have fallen into the same folder.

  Just a thought... hope that helps, and I'm not far away from the base.

• Version of the content server and build the relationship?

  When you look at the version on a content server you see for example build v5.3 3529.

  But the software versions are marked: v5.3.0, v5.3.1, v5.3.2.

  What version of these 3 versions? I can't find it in the available doc.

  I don't know why they changed the version posted on the content server to use the main exit S5.3 and then the build number, but still the free software download you is different.  I can say that S5.3 build 3529 is F5.3.2, do not know what other build numbers are however for S5.3 and S5.3.1.

  I am facing the error when I open my ADF UI below. I had installed all the required patches on weblogic ADFUI and MLR - 6 patch for COE. It's the same error discussed in this thread - required feature is not enabled on the content server instance 'Default' WebCenter Feature: 'FrameworkFolders', at least level: 2.1 but I think have everything installed the patched. Y at - it a particular fix that brings FrameworkFolder from 2.0 to 2.1.

  I assume that you missed this step:

  1. after changing properties of connection CRMI - save

  Now comes the key:

  2. Select the bean Select viz ADFConnections - operations - parent. Here, select Invoke.

  The action is logged and persistent changes to the MDS repository on successfully executing step 2, otherwise the changes will not be saved and will be reset to restart the server after original values.

  Now restart the servers of the ADF managed, test and report the results.

  I have an installation of WebCenter Sites on a CentOS server with Weblogic application server. Is connected to a database of 12 c of Oracle database.

  I do deploy automatically on the server through a shell script which is called by Jenkins.

  Hello

  To reinstall, you will first need to uninstall the Sites and then re-run Setup.

  To uninstall, you will need to:

  1. Cancel the deployment of CS and case applications
  2. Remove the installation directory
  3. Remove the shared directory
  4. Delete the directory (i.e. CS and CA applications) manual-deploy
  5. Remove Sites (or just drop and recreate the schema).

• Remove the Error Messages in the content server

  Hi all

  In the model of my area, I'm running the code that determines if a file with a given content ID exists in the content server. The code works well, and the template renders as I expect. However, whenever I load the page, I get an error message in the content server if a file does not exist.

  Here is the code I'm running inside my model that checks for the existence of the file.

  In fact, I changed my IdocScript to use a different Service, GET_SEARCH_RESULTS. This Service does not throw an error if the query fails, then it will not obstruct my logs. Here is my code if someone else is looking for a quick solution of the IdocScript test if a content item exists or not.

  On activation of features Records for UCM server (CS) happy, it gives a 'installation check list"for the configuration of the records management / retention. However when "Install the default Templates" is checked it does not install the required report templates. Although it displays a success message.

  Check the installation. By default, Complutense University of MADRID does not reference libraries report (oracle.xdo.runtime.ear). If you don't get this part right, then the report templates will not be downloaded

  Configure the reports library
  To configure the functionality of records management in the content server, you must add the library oracle.xdo.runtime.ear manually from the Console of Administration Oracle WebLogic Server after the creation of the area that includes the content server managed of the WebCenter and before starting for the first time. You will also need to add a reference to this library in the file application.xml - weblogic the WebCenter file contained EAR before you start the managed server. • PE T610 - Perc 6i - strange state after adding additional drives

  We have a PE T610 with a PERC 6i controller.

  X SATA 1: 2 250 GB virtual disk in a RAID-1

  X SATA 2: 3 500 GB of disk virtual in a RAID-5

  We have added 3 additional 2 TB drives to the server.  A drive has been designated as a Global Hot Spare.  Two other readers have been added to the Bay RAID-5.

  I predicted, using 500 GB each among the readers added two for Virtual Disk 2.  Then, I had planned to use the other 1.5 to among the readers as Virtual Disk 3 in a RAID-1 array.  I did it with other servers in PE in the past.

  But after that the 500 GB is used from each of the discs, I can't used the remaining unused space.  It shows the 'available RAID disk space' as 0.00 GB.

  Why the remaining space on these disks is not available for me to use?

  This was allowed on a VERY small number of controllers found in Dell servers.  Anyway, you can do that on 6 PERC.  You can replace your existing 3 drives with 2 TB drives, then create a second table (6 to) on the disks (all disks in a disk group must have the amount of space available and impossible to replace the drives with the greatest and to increase the existing RAID array size).

  I created a program that measure current over time.  It works well, but when I write to the spreadsheet, there are additional lines between the row of data.

  I've created a header file, which is passed into the while loop where the data entered in a table and then entered in the worksheet.  If I simply display the table, there is no additional lines, but when I open the file csv in excel, there are more lines.  I'm pretty new to labview, but everything works the way I want to (it's a simple program) apart from that.

  There is a trolley or jump back in your chain of row data.  You can get rid of that by adding a "trim whitespace" function between the function of "visa read" and "replace the subset of the table.

• Added additional icons on the main screen

  I was wondering how to add additional icons to the main screen which calls in my application and limitations with this stuff. Limitation on the number of icons of an application, what kind of parameters can be passed in.

  Each of the entry points serve a different function? If Yes, then there is no way to program hide the icon; It will be either hidden (module system) or visible.

  You can use the ApplicationManager to launch your application and use some value/info you must distinguish what entry point to run.
