  It can get quite complicated because this is certainly not the standard features of LCM and would not be supported by VMware if this customization is not performed by the team of the Orchestration Services of our Professional Services organization... However, that being said, a general approach would be as follows:

  • Duplicate the workflow application for Virtual Machine to the category of workflow custom under user and give a custom name like ask VM

  • Add new entries to the custom workflow that are something like: additionalDiskCount (number) and additionalDiskSize (number) (which implies that all the additional disks would be the same size)

  • Update the workflow to store these values by using a standard LCM Action such as:

  System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm").addDataToTokenKeyAsString (provisioningToken, additionalDiskCount, "additionalDiskCount");

  System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm").addDataToTokenKeyAsString (provisioningToken, additionalDiskSize, "additionalDiskSize");

  The two lines above will store the specified user to other values that the token of data in the database of LCM and you will be able to get it back later because it is related to this particular request token.

  • Hide the initial request button of the tab requests and create a new button that points to your custom workflow

  • Create a new workflow that takes an object of lcm:ProvisioningToken as an entry called "token".

  • Inside of this workflow (let's call it 'Add disks to ask'), you will need to retrieve the additionalDiskCount and additionalDiskSize values that have been stored with the token:

  • You then get the object of VMware3:VirtualMachine of your token:

  VM = System.getModule("com.vmware.lcm.vim3").getVmFromToken (token);

  • Then, using those extracted values and the virtual computer object, use a loop to pass these parameters and some other default values you want in the workflow 'Add drive' (it's in the category library/VIM 3/Virtual Machine management/Device Management workflow.)

  • Once you have confirmed that this new workflow 'Add disks to ask' is working properly by passing only an object token with these entries of additional data stored with them, you can add this workflow for the reminder 'onCreate '.

  The above process is a general approach that could be taken. The specifics of real workflows that you create are up to you and the support of this customization

  I intend to order the model of the device of the TCS (TCS-C220- PROBUN-K9).  But the condition is to have more than 2 TB of Hard drive in this server.  Model of the device comes with 600 GB of hard drive capacity (2 x 600 GB in RAID 1).  I would add 6 slots to over 600 GB hard drives that there are 6 free on the server.  Is this possible.  If so, may I know the part number for the HARD drive.  Thanks in advance.

  Although you are able to do this, it is not a supported Cisco configuration.

  The way to achieve additional storage available for a content server is to store the data on the external NAS.

  Refer to the section Setting Up Media external storage of Executive Guide.

• Adding additional disk space to Perc 6 / i server R710

  I have currently 3 250 GB installation as a raid 5 (original configuration) disks on a server R710 with a Perc 6 / i controller.  I ordered 3 discs (same readers) that we are running out of disk space. There is a set up disk C: and D:.  Can someone point me to instructions for adding these additional disks for the raid existing (drive D) without having dataloss?

  If you don't have that one 'disk' listed in disk management, then you have only a single VD configured, which is good.

  You must install OMSA to broaden your VD. You then insert your new drives, make sure that they show as ready under physical disks, then go to virtual disks and select Reconfigure to your RAID 5. Adding two drives in your RAID 5 will add about 500GB (bit math makes it a little less) to your current Windows 'disk '. After the reconfigure statement, you will have something similar to below. Then, assuming that you do not run 2003, you click on the D: drive and choose Extend to finish with the second photo:

  We have some problems with a relay connected to the NI 9403 module card. There are probably a few Chin-ups correct definition outputs during the initialization of the 9403 (high logic out the relay).

  After feeding the 9403, no relay are activated, which is good. If the default value of the input terminal has no consequences.

  However, directly after the Start the task defining the outputs as 9403 (without writing again to real data), all relays are activated. This behavior is independent of the 'InvertLines' property and thus independent of the default logic level.

  My question: what happens with the terminal type (and the input impedance) during the market and directly after starting the task to DO? Does it change to a situation of three States? And he leaves the tri - state after writing the first data word?

  Can we resolve this problem by adding 4 k 7 pullup to the terminals?

  Hello Martin,

  The best way to solve this problem is to use a pull-up resistance. Then, you can start the task unit and lines appear at the bottom. The lines have a nominal input of 50kOhm impedance. And not the 9403 does not work in a sort state.

• Impossible to perform a search using a VO after adding a line in OT

  HI guys,.

  I am new to OAF and need your help to solve the current problem that I face.

  We still use JDeveloper 9i (9.0.3.5) and the construction of a custom page for the establishment of a trust hierarchy.

  Background:

  Page has 2 fields of research in region 1, name and organization with of the LOV attached to it. At the same time a region has button to search and clear.

  Below, another region is present which shows the data retrieved via above criteria of search as a table and we also gave a button to add a new line (say add new line).

  We have defined an EO and later a VO based on the same, which is used for this page (from the base of single table).

  Problem:

  When I open a page and search (providing criteria search or search criteria) it returns the correct results. Once I click on the button Add NEW RANK I am able to add a line, and I check back-end. Problem starts after that, I can't make a research post that he keeps on his return / showing same result set that was present on the page after adding a line. I also found that the parameters set by setWhereClauseParam are correct in adding debugging instructions. But once the vo.executeQuery () executed and number of lines returned by vo.getFetchedRowCount is the same as the lines already present on the page (after adding a new line/operation). I've tried passing NULL values to setWhereClauseParam after you perform a commit on the assumption that the VO is not resetting correctly but it did not help.

  Any suggestion for me, experts?

  Reason for this behavior of VO is due to below statement highlighted. I just commented the same and it behaves perfectly.

  I have a Lenovo D30 workstation.

  I have my SSD on sata RED ports, and port orange is the DVD unit. So far so good.

  I added 4 drives, connected to the blue sata ports (reader1 4) while the system worked. I launched rest Intel and created a RAID5 volume. All work of until reboot. At the power, I'm looking to a flashing cursor, just after the message 'press enter to...'. In the BIOS I have excluded from the disk 1 to 5 ports such as boot (on 3 different from the menu) device.

  The bootdrive is a Samsung 850, 500GB connected to the SATA0 port.

  The system didn't need to start fron all the RAID, but only from the SSD.

  Edit: I deleted the RAID for the rest for the post. Created a RAID5 set and restarted the D30.

  Guess what... it starts as expected. The RAID5 volume present in the W10 and works very well.

• strange slowdown after the updates today

  Hello-
  noticed a strange delay after the system starts. The system booted and the office appeared in a timely way (30-40 seconds)
  as he always does.  I uninstalled my antivirus while this problem.  (Avast from Add/Remove programs
  and usefulness clear for good measure).

  Here's what's happening.  AprΦs dΘmarrage, logon and the desktop appears, the warning that no AV is installed
  (from Security Center?) takes a full 90 seconds for it to appear.   In addition, during those 90 seconds, Outlook Express cannot
  to complete it's search for new messages and a manual to open the Security Center fails.

  After 90 seconds, everything started to work... Is something delay?  Certain services having a problem starting?

  EDIT - I investigated further after that I posted above.
  Apparently, this problem is caused by the Microsoft.Net Framework 4.
  Open the CMD prompt, navigate to \WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319
  and by running the command
  NGEN executequeueditems
  the system spends ten minutes compiling some objects.
  Finally, you get a message saying that 'all compilation targets are up-to-date.

  Rebooted the system and startup is back to normal. Access to the network and the opening of
  Delays in Security Center disappeared.

  You probably confuse the printer. You seem to be using 2 DIMMS that are 48Mo and each also 8 mb flash. These chips contain the firmware in the flash section and the memory in the other. Since you're probably using a chip LJ2300 another dimm, you confuse the printer with 2 firmwares. You must use a barrette of memory 32, 64 or 128 in the 3rd slot. Only 1 chip 8/48 MB can be used in this printer.
