  Currently Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x 86 (no patches since 2008). Currently, it has no AV and has not been connected to the internet yet. It will be behind a router.

  I had to redo the factory already reset after be connected to the net for 20 minutes and then a bunch of programs kept crashing saying Data Execution Prevention had to close the program StackHash and BEX error when executing update for HP drivers.

  Maybe I installed Kaspersky first next time?

  Just don't start browsing the inet by updating.

• Windows 8 tiles does not open and I can't create accounts from Microsoft.

  Upgrading windows 8.1 jumped on my desk and I thought sure why not so I started.  I guess something when it is bad because now I have problems, and I'm still in Windows 8.  Which was an upgrade to Windows 7, made online.

  When I try to open the tiles as store, e-mail, Photos, etc.  the tile turns around and comes back to the start menu.  I can also create accounts from Microsoft, when I try I get error code 0 x 0000225.

  I tried to run windows apps troubleshooting tool and I get the following messages: Windows store cache may be corrupted.  Windows store may be corrupted configuration, display adapter drivers can be updated.

  I tried a clean boot, and no luck there.

  When I try to run wsreset application fails: error message the application has not begun.

  Who knows what happened?

  I was surfing the net, stay out of my business, when the prompt to update Windows 8.1 decide to pop up again.

  I clicked update and it updated successfully this time.  Now everything works again!

  I spent hours trying to solve this problem and now it is fixed.

  I received a coupon for a $25 Best Buy when I bought my new HP laptop. After following the instructions, I was able to buy $25 and my microsoft account shows a balance of $25. When trying to purchase a game app from Microsoft store, I'm prompted to enter my credit card information and not give me the ability to use the $25 into my account. I tried to contact Microsoft customer support several times. I first learned that I was wrong site, even if there were a link to the game I tried to buy. (Which shows as a Microsoft product by the way.)

  Finally they gave me a number to call for technical support from Microsoft store. After scanning my machine to identify the problem, I had a sales pitch for their COMPUTER service. Needless to say that they cannot solve the many problems they found with the new laptop brand new, unless I have buy at least a plan for 1 year for $175. Seriously, I'm supposed to pay more than $100, so I can use my $25 store credit.

  Is can someone please tell me what I need to do to fix it so I can use this money in my Microsoft account to buy this game, I want to go to the Microsoft store?  Right now, I'm so disabled by the whole process which took up my evening together, I'm ready to write off the money and spend. I don't really need the applications of game in any case.

  I understand that you are unable to remove a user account that is not listed in the control panel under users, manage account.

  Follow these methods and check if that helps.

  Method 1:
  Please refer to these steps on how to remove a PC user account.

  To remove an account from your PC

  You must be logged in as an administrator to perform these steps.

  a. drag from the right edge of the screen, tap settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
  Press or click accounts, and then press or click on other accounts.

  b. press or click the account that you want to remove, and then press or click delete.

  c. press or click delete the account and data. (Please back up all important data before you delete the user account).

  d. it may take a few minutes, if the account has a lot of associated data.

  Method 2:
  If you are not able to find the user account, and then follow these steps.
  a. press Windows + R and type netplwiz, and then press ENTER.

  b. in user accounts, select the user tab.

  c. now, click the account you want to remove and click Remove.
