• Suddenly cannot link to topics in other projects of the child

  I use RoboHelp 10 HTML to publish WebHelp on a network server.

  I have 11 projects merged with about 3100 topics.

  After several years of using this method, all of a sudden, I am unable to link to topics within other projects were merged under the same parent. I can create external links outside merged as usual assistance. In this case whatever the project that I'm trying.

  When I use the Hyperlink dialog box, select the link to: 'File', then navigate to the desired topic. I click on the 'Open' button to return to the Hyperlink dialog box. When I click on the 'OK' button, nothing happens, except a color change indicating I am in contact with the key.

  I've searched the forums and none of the scenarios/solutions seem to match my dilemma. I have reinstalled RoboHelp on my PC.  I tried to delete the old file of DPC. None have resulted in a solution.

  Sorry, but I don't really know what could cause this. I've never seen it mentioned before or met.

  Hi, I am trying to learn how to use RoboHelp HTML (I use RoboHelp10), and, unfortunately, I have to work on a project that someone else has started some time ago.

  The thing is, I have 2 separate projects, each with their own files, will that ultimately generated in 2 files separate chm and used in the same software (probably merged, but I don't know yet).

  A project needs to have hyperlinks across multiple pages htm to the subjects of the other project. I read the help provided by Adobe RoboHelp, but I don't know that I understand:

  Link to external files

  • Choose a location for link in the design editor.
  • Enter text.
  • Highlight the text and click Insert Hyperlink .
  • Click on the triangle button next to link to, and then select the file.
  • Browse to a file, open it and copy it to the folder of the project. -Is this file the individual .htm containing my topic or the .chm generated from all the files in the project htm? Where in the project folder devrais I copy it? (my project .chm file is generated in the.) SSL! folder).

  Generate the file in order to test the links to external topics.

  WebHelp projects

  The external file must be distributed in the WebHelp folder.

  Microsoft HTML Help projects

  The external file must be distributed with the CHM file. Note: the external CHM file must be in the same folder as the CHM project file.

  - I'm going to generate a Microsoft HTML Help project, so the second spec probably applies. Does this mean that external chm must be copied in the! SSL! folder where I generate my current chm and distributed together, so that hyperlinks will work?

  Sorry if my question may sound a little silly, I'm not very adept at this software. Thanks in advance.

  They will either be in the same folder or they will need to be registered by Windows. Otherwise, we have no idea that the other exists.

• publish the new class for other projects in a workspace

  HI, I have a workspace, which contains 4 different projects.

  I package all the project under the same path as the package com.xxx.app.version1;

  I made a new class, say DataStruct, it will be used in several projects.

  If I only set the DataStruct in a project, how the other projects can reference this class?

  I do not put the same class file in each project, because it causes problems of consistency.

  solved.

  My own solution:

  Add a new project name xxlib in this workspace.

  Add all the classes newly defined in this project. Pack them as com.xxx.lib;

  first build the jar of this xxxlib. then add this jar file into other projects that are in need of new classes.

  (for each project, the properties-> build-> add jar)

  in the project files that are in need of the new class, add "import com.xxx.lib;"

• Muse is so slow, especially when adding hyperlinks

  As a designer than a programmer, I love Muse, so similar to the sensation to Indesign. She allowed me to do at my site design is amazing, but...

  Now really worried that I chose the wrong software to develop my new site. Get slower and slowest of the day.

  Every action is so slow. Multicolor spinning wheel is displayed continuously.

  The slower action seems to be when adding hyperlinks. Certainly, there is a little (about 150 per page over 100 pages, it's a ticketing site).

  When clicking on the hyperlink insert the window of the menu drop-down appears quickly, but I have to wait almost 30 seconds before I can enter the link and then another 30 seconds by clicking on back for the link to be accepted.

  30 seconds may not seem like a long time but believe me, it's when we look at a multicoloured spinning wheel. With 150 links per page, which is more than 2 hours of wasted time.

  Is there anyway to speed up this process? Is there anywhere in preferences to say Muse to reduce the number of previous installations of links used in the menu drop-down? If it would expedite the operation?

  Any help would be appreciated, because I don't want to renounce the Muse. Thank you.

  Yes, 2015.2 is faster. But... you can not expect the sedan city it will be a big truck. Different tasks have different tools. Muse is not really suitable for large sites. Not only because of the speed.
  CMS is a completely different usability, allowing to work with directories. Muse can't. Everything must be done manually, which leads to loss of time and difficulties with seo.

• How can I import a composition to another project, in a way that it will remain always updated if it has changed in the other project?

  I have a model of logo in a project that I have to add to all the other compositions all over my other projects.

  The thing is, I've might need to change the logo from time to time and wouldn't go back and change the layout of the logo in each project.

  I need a way to import the model of the logo and to maintain its link with the original project, so I could only make a change once and then just make all other projects while the intro comp update automatically.

  Can you please help?

  Rick instructions assumes that you use a video file pre-rendered logo, which is the most convenient way to do the job, if you can.

  But, to answer your question more specifically, you can create a dynamic link to an another project AE AE project.

• Cannot save a character for later use in cs 4 (you want to use in other projects)

  I decided to make a character for a project and other projects, but my "MODEL" could not be saved I made him a symbol and looked in the library, I loaded the new project after reformulating flash and he wasn't in the library!   Someone was wrong to tell you that... If you do not save the changes that you do not expect to be there when you reopen a file.

  I created a project with buttons that have a link with other projects, but when I publish the projects and put them on our server, the links point to files on my hard drive and not on the server.   Using Captivate 4? Have you installed the update, the most recent version generation 1658?

  If the files are all in the same folder, you can just put the file name, not the path when you give in the URL (if you use 'Open a URL or file'). Or you point to the CP file when you use the option 'open another project '. Don't forget there is no path statement.

• FilePath to "open the other projects.

  I have a button that has "Open other Project", which opens the 2nd project very well for me.  But Captivate 4 lists the full path of the file and won't let me not specify filename only.  The two projects are in the same place, but listing means full filepath that nobody else can open the 2nd project.

  I heard that Captivate 4 lets not use relative paths to 'open another project' for some reason any.

  Have you tried to publish .swf and link using 'open a URL or file?

  This is how to create a link to the top of all my projects, but I am still using Captivate 3.

  Try the following steps:
  (1) change your Action to "open a URL or file.
  (2) key in the relative URL of the movie you are trying to bind. If it is in the same directory, simply enter the name of the .swf file you are trying to load.
  (3) publish and test.

  Let us know if it works for you.

  You must add your location of the sdk to the PATH environment variable or specify the path binary full webworks when adding plugins. I noticed the same problem. By default the Installer SDK is not himself write properly on the WAY.

  Hi Jeff! Yes, I filed a bug report and heard back that Adobe is addressing the issue. I also spoke with a representative who has found a workaround.

  That being said, here's the info you requested:

  The project can be found here: C:\Users\[username]\Documents\My RoboHelp Projects\ [ProjectName]

  RoboHelp crashes every time when I click the hyperlink icon in the Ribbon and then paste it into the link box to a URL (for example, https://support.company.com/knowledgebase.php?article=110). The workaround is to select The Web address in link in the drop-down menu before pasting the URL (replacing the "https" which appears when you select Web address).

  I am satisfied with workaround, but will be even happier when Adobe fixes the error that causes the crash!

  I have problems that connects it to other Cp 5.5 projects.  I set up as I used to when I used 3 Cp, but the next project does not open.  I have cked beyond discussions and I saw one, "linking the projects; export message"replied TrevDev (Trevor) which seemed to fix my problem.  I double cked I had everything in place under the guidance of Trevor (see below), but still my next project will not open.  Any other suggestions?

  (1) cptx & htm have the same name

  (2) all the files are in the same folder

  (3) on the first draft, I used "out: open another project ' and travelled to the cptx file open window active.

  I just saved, published and run version htm of the first project, which is to open the next project on the last slide.  The first file ends just on his last slide without doing something more.

• Anyway d ' import or Precomps on the part of other projects AE?

  I need to take pieces back a lot of movement of the forawrd. Is there a way I can share a precomp between documents? I think I can ask this before and the answer is no, you need to make the parts for a while, write its xy, position etc. and alll the way home in the next doc. With styes layer, somethings precomped and others not, it won't be an acceptable workflow, go ahead. I'm trying it now and it's a mess.

  Please tell me there is a solution to this.

  As a lossless export and re-import in next doc are not an option. I need to retain editability in each doc.

  Are you sure that you have your publication (precomp) selecing in the project window and not the window Assembly when you try to shrink?

  I'm new to Flex 2. I downloaded and in the process of reading the Documentation from Adobe on Flex 2 using (Getting Started with Flex 2 and Flex 2 help). Could someone direct me to a space for documentation on the technique for adding a hyperlink to a control? For example, how do you add a navigate to URL to a button?

  Flex has a LinkButton that presents itself as bold text (you can change this with styles). When you hover your mouse on it highlights; by clicking on the mouse generates a click event:
