Adding texture to stamp a logo in illustrator

Hi all

I'm wanting to add a stamp texture to a logo in illustrator. I'm doing it with the pathfinder palette, but without success.

I don't want to use clipping paths, since this is a logo I want it to be a straight on vector. The image below will explain better then words. Here is a link to the illustrator file Dropbox - logo.ai. Any help would be greatly appreciated, at the height of frustration.

Thank you very much

Mel

Pathfinder will work if you first do your whole logo in a compound path and your texture while another composite path. Move the texture at the front and use less Front.

    To all those who can help you:

    I created a logo using Illustrator CS5 and must import it in a video sequence in Final Cut Pro 6.  The logo has a transparent background.  It seems that FCP 6 will import the files native .ai and .tiff files, but when I opened the 6 FCP, the alpha (transparent background) is no longer there; There is just the logo on a white background.  Y at - it a setting or a market I'm missing?

    I need to insert images of HAVE in Final Cut Pro and Motion quite frequently.

    The best way I found to get a picture of IN Final Cut is:

    1. Select / copy all objects in the doc to HAVE it.

    2. create a new file with a transparent background in Photoshop and paste.

    3 merge layers and make sure that the mode is RGB.

    4 save out as one. PNG or. PSD.

    5. drag the result in Final Cut (or movement).

    6 resize and position the result to taste.

    Attempt to export directly from... to PSD or. PNG is a wasted effort and the results are not even necessarily recognized by Final Cut.

    Yes, there are Photoshop and it's a few extra steps... but it works like a charm.

    In addition, when you create a new file in Photoshop, you can initially set its size that matches the aspect ratio of your video. For example, if you prepare a video HD, you could set the size of 1280 x 720 and position the elements GOT to where they are supposed to be in the frame. You can set the items HAVE precisely by cutting and pasting a picture of your video into Photoshop and positioning HAVE in place on another layer above the video layer. Delete the video layer before you save it as a. PNG or. PSD and it will appear in Final Cut exactly where it should be.

  • Problem title: "Transparent" logo in Illustrator "not transparent" in PremierePro

    I was battlign with something for far too long, which I'm sure there's a simple answer!

    I then opened it. PNG file in the service of the title to PremierePro5.5 via the menu items < title / Logo / Logo insert > and I also tried < /Logo/ insert the Logo in the title text > [screenshot shows both versions importated for purposes of illustration] yet in any way the logo becomes transparent against the gray background chosen.

  • Convert a logo CS4 Illustrator 10

    Hello

    I'm a volunteer Secretary of a Committee local farmers' market, for which I am trying to get printed signs. The file I have found in Illustrator CS4 (attached), but the printer wants the logo in Illustrator 10.  Any who feel like I do a favor and opening it upward, and then re-register as Illustrator 10?

    Thank you.

    bujMR,

    Unfortunately, it is impossible to avoid the font substitution when youi have no fonts. Therefore, these fonts are lost when opening it.

    Oh, and it is quite true that there is no problem of Type: any Type is broken down into simple letters.

    You will need to have the police described in CS4 (or CS3, CS2 or CS), on a machine that has the police.

    What font?

  • Best way to cut the Texture of the graphic Logo?

    Hello. Can someone please advise me on the best way to CUT a texture of a chart AND be able to continue to use mutiple on new graphics colors? For more precisely illustrate my question/problem, here are the steps I took:

    (1) that I created a graph of the card as shown here:

    Screen Shot 2012-09-16 at 10.22.27 PM.png

    (2) I was able to cut a form of illustration of the map grid, using the tools of pathfinder. As shown here:

    Screen Shot 2012-09-16 at 10.17.55 PM.png

    (3) I then found a texture I want cut in graphic design that I just created. Since it is a logo, I need the texture is actually cutting the shape, not only sitting above it like a layer of white color. As seen here, this is what the graph of the card looks like with the layer of texture on top of it.

    Screen Shot 2012-09-16 at 10.12.10 PM.png

    (4) the only way I know, cookie cut the graphics card with the new texture is to hold the "alt/command" key while supporting on the "before" option in the tools of pathfinder palette. The only problem is that when I do that, a compound path is created, which converts the entire chart in one colour as shown here:

    Screen Shot 2012-09-16 at 10.37.49 PM.png

    I need the graphics to be the original 4-color. The strange thing is I could cut the world lines of the grid on the layers in the map very well (and still capable of changing color), but now I can't when I'm cutting the texture of the entire chart.

    Summary: can someone please tell me how to make the graph below. I need to texture is the cutting of the graph. The only way I can understand to the punch the texture of the image is to create a compound path using the pathfinder tool. This leaves me with a form of cutting correct that I'm looking for, but while Brown and with no opportunity to change the graphic back 4 original colors.

    Illustrator is hard enough without making it even more.

    It is a very simple step operation 4-5:

    • (1) make your graph of multicolor globe on a new layer. You 'can' block if your next layer becomes difficult to choose things.
    • (2) another new layer above the globe and create your lines of longitude/latitude and "texture." You can use white or black lines/texture, but one or the other. Select and group when you are finished. Suggestion: Make sure that all items are a unique, and no nested group.
    • (3) now, select your multicolor globe and groups of lines/texture "knockout" and in the transparency Panel, choose "make opacity mask". Depending on whether you used white or black, you may need to check "Invert mask" or "Clip".
    • (4) now... all you have to do to complete the chart so that it is a vector of 'real' with holes where a background should be apparent, as a "transparent vector trace" only (no need of masks), is: Menu-> object-> flatten transparency. In the dialog box choose: 100 vector, convert all the traits of contours and preserve Alpha transparency.
    • (5) Optional: you can ungroup the globe or the graphics and little cleaning, like throwing it to remove the useless way of 'group '. You can do it from the Panel layers as well.

    View, you don't need to select and recolor anything, because this method retains the previous colors, including transparency is now "flattened" and allows you to fine-tune the mix of color by itself.

  • Logos and illustrations inventory

    Hello

    I'm new in this world and from a company. I am confused about the rules regarding use of the logo and that do not. After reading the FAQ, an article mentions the stock illustration can, "Adobe active Stock may be used in any creative project, including print ads, brochures, presentations, posters, book covers, commercials, Web sites" while further down it says that it can not be used as a logo because, "you have complete ownership of the image that you use for your company logo. because logos are meant to be saved and protected to prevent other companies or organizations to use the same image. Because Adobe Stock only grants a right to use the images and does not transfer the property, these images cannot be used in or as a logo. »

    How can I use it on a map of visit/site Web etc if I can't identify it with my logo? Also, if I change the illustration, would I be able to use it on my site and my logo?

    Thanks in advance for your clarification!

    Hi Michelle,

    Please see Adobe Stock photos for use in a Logo design?  and can I use a stock image as a brand for a logo purpose non-profit organation?  where the same issue was addressed.

  • Adding texture plug-n

    I want to add texture filters to CS6. It is now grayed out. I have download the plug-ins from Adobe, unzipped and put them in the plug-ins folder. My problem is that I am running 64-bit and 32-bit files. For some reason, there is no plug-in folder in the X 86 32 don't bit Adobe PS 6.

    Then there are 64-bit texture filters available?

    If not, should the 32 bit can be added to the X 86 program files folder? The only file it's tagged AMT.

    If someone could clarify what I am doing wrong I would be very happy.

    Thank you

    In my Photoshop CS6 Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe folder, everything is there, not only the AMT folder.

  • Align two words for logo in Illustrator

    Hello!

    I'm working on a logo right now, but here's the problem: I have two words I would like to do like this:

    Apple

    PEAR

    I want to align exactly two words at both ends, but I don't know how, because when I type in Illustrator, it puts the words under each other, but not 100% indicated/aligned.

    Appreciate your help, thank you!

    Bernard,

    You can select either / each of the word with the text tool and then set the alignment of the paragraph palette so that they fit.

    You can set one or both (in the opposite direction) for the least possible ugliness.

  • Adding/editing a "stamp" on a PDF document

    Are there options in Adobe (1), create a PDF version of the invoice from the vendor, allowing the person to create the PDF file to include a "buffer" which shows which ledger accounts invoice must be coded; and (2) allow someone else edit this stamp using his initials of appproval?

    A good internal control environment suggests that the person making the initial coding does not have the power to apply also the initials of the approval.  I think there's a version of Adobe Acrobat which allows different levels of access to a PDF?

    Thank you very much

    AlbertaRedneck

    You cannot change the contents of a stamp after it is placed, but another stamp can be placed on the top one. The first stamp can also be flattened, conversion to the content of the common page and initials stamped on the top.

  • Adding new metadata XMP in the new illustrator document...

    App: application var = Illustrator.app;

    var doc: Document = app.activeDocument;

    var xmpString:String is doc. XMPString;

    var xmpMeta: XMPMeta = new XMPMeta (xmpString);

    var myNamespace: Namespace = new Namespace ("test", "http://test.thisiscool");

    xmpMeta.myNamespace::stringName = 'supercooling';

    var tmp: String = xmpMeta.serialize ();

    doc. XMPString = tmp;

    If I execute the block of code above, I find myself with the following metadata in the document:

    "" < RDF rdf: about = "".

    xmlns:ns1 ="http://test.thisiscool" >. "

    < ns1:stringName > supercool < / ns1:stringName >

    < / RDF: Description >

    Why the prefix default "ns1" when I pointed out that it should be "test"?

    The documentation says that you can save your own custom prefixes. But it does not weather it is possible to do otherwise programmatically.  Is it?  If this is not the case, how? :

    The prefixes are not stored in the data model, but only in the namespace URI. The Analyzer collects namespace prefixes, to be used when the same XMPMeta object is serialized after modification. For the standard Adobe namespaces defined in the XMP specification: part 2, standard schemas, default namespaces are stored in a global namespace of the library registry. You can also save prefixes customized for your own namespaces; If the serializer does not have a prefix that is recommended for a certain namespace, it generates with prefixes of the form "ns1", "ns2" and so on.

    Try the following command to save the pair namespace:

    var xmpMeta:XMPMeta = new XMPMeta (xmpString);

    var myNamespace:Namespace is new Namespace ("test", "http://test.thiscool");.

    If (xmpMeta.getNamespace (myNamespace.prefix)! = myNamespace.uri)

    {

    myNamespace = xmpMeta.registerNamespace (myNamespace.uri, myNamespace.prefix, true);

    }

  • Adding Tracker clone stamp

    I am new to this bear so please with me.

    I have a small clip, a model with moles and blemishes

    on its face, which should be deleted.

    She is chewing and moving out of the frame.

    The imperfections are moving up and down and to the left.

    I can brush the faults of the first image, but

    of course the cloned areas remain motionless.

    I can get a good tracker on the moles.

    Is there a simple way to add a tracker to a clone stamp?

    See this video for an explanation of how to attach data trackng suddenly Clone Stamp:

    For simple tasks, blurring often works well. See this video in a way that you can attach a blur (or otherwise) to monitoring data:
