• Synchronization of constantly & long term internet time servers

  I spent countless hours trying to surf the web and try to possible solutions to achieve this.  For some time, with the relatively recent launch of the Microsoft forum site, I see that many people seem to have this problem.  The final solution I see on many cases composed of a sequence of steps of command line to activate the service on the local computer time.  However, I have not seen anything to indicate that the synchronization with an external time source is accomplished.  If anything, the Event Viewer appears to show that something is wrong.  I see several messages a day associated W32Time, always in pairs:

  1. the time provider NtpClient could not find a domain controller to use as a time source. NtpClient will try again within minutes XXXX.

  2. the time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible.  No attempt to contact a source will be for 239 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.

  Furthermore, I've never seen success messages when you go to the properties of the Date and time Panel despite trying all the servers (ten?) that I read several times in my web searches.

  I ask myself "How is it possible that a standardized protocol fails to work constantly for so many people and so many servers?  Is it plausible for all servers to malfunction so much of the time, or is the Protocol specified so weakly that it is impossible to get consistent interoperability?

  I tried probably everything that anyone can post a link to, so it's more a survey question to see if there is no sign there of constant and persistent operation of the.  It would be useful to know if there such success has been achieved in, say, Linux.  This could at least give a vague suspicion about if the servers and/or protocol is the problem, or the implementation of sync Windows (or maybe the infeasibility to properly use these services by users who are not experts in the field).

  When you add the time for a period, which formula would work if the time is less then 0, return 0 h 0 m.  I have tried many different ones I could think of and receive errors.

  If I understand you correctly, then if you have a negative duration in A1 but want a period of 0 then you can use this:

  = MAX (A1, DURATION (0))

  If the duration in A1 is greater than 0, the formula returns the positive length.

• Adding time to a stage of waiting with contacts inside?

  Let's say I have a wait time that lasts 7 days. And I have a contact that is in it for 3 days. I turn off the campaign, change step of 14 days and turn it back on. The contact that was in it runs after more than 4 days (the initial period when he entered the stage) or in 11 days?

• How to install a patch on the remaining servers of ISE

  I have a cluster of servers ISE in version 1.1.4. I have it patched with Patch 4.

  Next, I added more servers ISE in version 1.1.4. How to I patch these new servers for 4 Patch? On the status page, it appears correctly that some servers have installed while the new have not installed the hotfix. But I can't find the way which install the fix on the remaining server?

  Can someone tell me how to proceed?

  Please the patch of the CLI, place the patch on your repository file and run the command «patch...» "when they come back to the top and connect to the ISE nodes you will see the correct state in the patch install status screen.

  I've done several times and have had success, and honestly I think it's the only method.

• Migration of a large number of virtual machines between servers

  I have a single ESX server and VirtualCenter (vSphere 4).

  I need to migrate all my virtual machines (30) to a new server, I'm.  They are all turned off (I use them as test beds a small number at a time).

  For the transition, I added two servers in my data center vCenter. I can migrate each VM individually, but it will be extremely painful and long.

  If anyone can recommend a way for me to start moving all virtual machines and let it run for a few days or longer, however it takes, perhaps through orders in the Service Console or?

  As long as the virtual machine have several virtual disks on different banks of data/files, you should be able to copy files by using for example Veeam FastSCP.

  If you have disks to different stores of data/files, you will need to reconfigure the virtual computer on the target (changing settings or edit the VMX file) because of UUID data warehouses.

  Before copying the files on the new host:

  -remove all attached CD/DVD or ISO virtual machine

  -Reset default CPU flags, see KB1011294 - a host processor is not compatible error message...

  What the Venezuela in their own time servers? You can use them if they do. Or you can set the time manually of course.

  I am trying to capture a timestamp of a few kinds whenever data acquisition receives a pulse, I have two methods (attached) which give a slightly different time. One method is to use the 'get time stamp' while the other is to use the 'Clock Tick". The format of the timestamp is okay too, but accuracy is the case, then I wonder what is the most accurate. Also, this VI is probably used on a real-time system (Labview RT) If a VI or the other can be used in real-time so that would not take on the accuracy.

  Precision of timing is not very good with both methods. Timestamp uses the computer clock time.  If you use computers until the time servers is available, you will remember that the computer clocks has derived seconds per day or more.  Long term (weeks to years) timestamp will be, on average, more accurate due to the continual delivery to zero by the time servers. However, maybe you'll see jumps because of these resets.

  The number of cycles is derived from an internal oscillator to the computer.  Because the computer is more concerned about accuracy of timing Quen synchronization logic on the CPU (and devices chips), these oscillators are very stable nor precise.

  The oscillator in your DAQ hardware is almost certainly more stable and undoubtedly more accurate internal clocks available.

  Get the signal of data acquisition as a waveform and use the time t0 that. Before you set up your own atomic clock or clock GPS derived, that it probably the best you can do.  It is also more closely related to the acquisition as opposed to the timt, that data is read from the DAQ hardware.

• I am looking for program by using Network Time Protocol of the Dave Mill. Where can I get help with this?

  I am interested in possibly edition. certainly the configuration, compile and test an implementation of the Dave Mill Protocol NTP (Network Time) on Windows XP Pro.  The tricky part so far implements strong, yet easy to use authentication.  We use version open source secure sockets layer.  I'm not a developer kernel or the Windows service, but I have experience of writing kernel drivers PCI for time servers dedicated which sync directly to a scale of coordinated universal time.  Whoever did this, or they could point me in the right direction?  (I am familiar with ntp.org, openssl.net, USENET newsgroups and the other usual suspects).  Help for network time, W32Time, stuff crypto or "timing" system on the line of Windows free software would be highly appreciated.

• Windows XP will not keep time properly

  I have a desktop running Windows XP and for some reason old any my camputer won't keep accurate time.  I tried to manually as well as the use of internet time options.  I get errors whenever I try to put my time using the internet.  Any ideas?

  If your sudden computer of the time losses when it is off, you may need to replace the battery on your motherboard.

  It would help if your posted error message exact than your receipts when you tried to change the time.  Usually only administrative users can change the time.  As a workaround, to power you can press the button to send your BIOS Setup page and set the time correctly here save/quit from the BIOS screen and I hope that the weather will be good then.

  I tried the time servers following Internet:

  Time.nist.gov
  NIST. Time.gov
  time - nw.nist.gov
  time - a.nist.gov
  time - b.nist.gov

  When I'm in the settings window of time Internet and I click on update now, I get the following error message:

  An error occurred while Windows timed with time.nist.gov (or server whicher, I tried to use)

  If your clock is constantly out of sync, even if she says that the synchronization was successful, the problem could be that your computer is losing time due to a problem with the system clock. There is an easy way to synchronize via the command line prompt.

  Open an administrative mode command prompt (make a right click, run as administrator), and then type the following command:

  w32tm/Resync

• Any server time I select to synchronize the time with, it is said: ' year error occurred while Windows timed with, (insert.server.here).
