• Firefox open two copies of each time, one with my tabs and the other without, and if I close one, both close.

  Since a few days ago, whenever I open Firefox it opens two copies. Got my tabs from the previous session and the other only my home page. If I close is exemplary, the other closes as well. How can I get rid of the second copy?

  I am running version 27.0.1 in Windows 7 on a 64-bit operating system.

  Tried to delete the attributes read-only files that the above suggested. There is no additional file numbered as he said, there might be, however. Doesn't seem to help until I closed the second copy with the ability to close all tabs. This simple action closed just a single copy and left me with one that I still wanted to open. I closed and reopened, and always gave me one copy, so I guess it's all fixed.

• Context menus for both the left mouse and right-click

  I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500 with Windows 8. Installed in the first week of April 2014. I have a mouse wired HP supplied with my desktop computer. Last week, the two mouse clicks left & right to display the context menu. I did not any changes to the settings of the mouse. Any suggestions on how I can get this working properly again?

• OfficeJet pro 8610: open door error ADF

  The ADF begins to pull on a page then stops and says that there is a door open ADF error.  I don't see where this would be. This is the first time I've ever used the ADF, so I can't tell if it worked before or not.  The cover is not closed tight on the glass... which means that there is like a 1/4 "crack all around.  I put the weight down on it and tried again, but which did not help. Any suggestions?

  I understand that you are getting the error ADF door open on your printer. Try following the steps and check them out below:

  Make sure that the doors of the ADF are closed on both sides. Please check the picture below. The red part surrounded by a circle is the ADF door. You can open the door and close the door with little force.

  

  If the problem persists, try to unplug the printer from the power outlet when the printer is turned on. Wait 2 - 3 minutes then turn on the printer and check.

  It could be a code error, DW requires a valid code / clean for many of its functions to work properly. Run http://validator.w3.org/nu and The Service of Validation CSS W3C validators and clean the detected problems. If that doesn't help, clear the cache program or restore preferences can help.

  JSF is Java Server Faces, a specification of standard Java.

  MyFaces is the implementation of Apache's JSF
  Mojarra is the reference implementation (RI) of the JSF by Sun
  Two implementations are the same, very limited game, component, so why there are several JSF extensions on the market.

  ADF Faces 10g is a set of JSF components (depends of JSF, MyFaces or Mojarra)

  Apache Trinidad is the evolution of ADF Faces 10 g (Oracle has donated code to Apache). ADF Faces 10g is pretty well static now, all the improvements coming together of component in Trinidad

  ADF Faces 11g is an extension of the Trinity (so an extension to JSF as well) made by Oracle offer a richer UI at the expense of the browser game in charge a bit more limited and more intensive CPU execution of JavaScript more than Trinidad.

  License of sage:
  Mojarra and MyFaces are free
  ADF Faces 10 g has been certified with Oracle AS 10 g or you could get a stand-alone license as well as I think
  Trinidad of Apache is free
  ADF Faces 11g is licensed with WebLogic 10.3 (JDeveloper 11 g), or you could get a stand-alone license as well I think

  Location wise:
  Using only basic JSF is not enough 90% of the time too limited set.
  If you start a new project, do not use ADF Faces 10g.
  Trinidad and ADF Faces 11g are both very valid options according to your need. If you need a rich client application using ADF Faces 11g

• HP Mini 311 - portable closing before closing down - right or wrong?

  I have a HP Mini 311-1037NR (the product number is VBM262UA #ABA).   My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

  Basic question: I was able to I close/close my HP Mini 311 before STOPPING Down Windows 7?

  I just recently 'brought to life' my HP Mini 311.  I remembered from a difficulty, I lived and I wanted to put out there for comments and suggestions.  I have a laptop from Apple as well.  I can use it and close it and use it and close it, without actually stop it.  When I open it back up, it's just where I left.

  When I got my new HP Mini 311 I used and then closed without first closing of Windows 7.  I seem to remember that he does not like do me that.  It is important, of course, I could be somewhere where I leave quckly and want to just close it and go (i.e. "the library is about to close. Please bring your books Checkout... »).

  What is the process?  Is this just a fact that I need to stop Windows 7, whenever I want to close the top?  Or I have to configure something that would allow me to just shut it down?

  The easiest option might be to put the laptop 'Sleep' when the lid is closed - you can set it as follows.

  Open windows control panel.  In the upper right corner of this window, next to ' display:' choose large icons in the menu drop-down.

  In the new list now displayed, select Power Options.  In the following window, in the left pane, click "choose the closing the cover.  In the next window, next to "when I close the lid:' choose the sleep option in the drop-down menus for both"on battery"and"Plugged in"."

  Click on the save changes"" button.

• can not scan large dockument in a file and have the pages come out in order

  Hello and ty 4 your time - victory runing 7-64 printer is hp officejet pro 8600 (network) PDF prog. OmniPage is ultimate. my project is to digitize a 191 total page (duplex) 391.  I select Save as pdf, leter size, black and white, 200 dpi (according to support hp - would rather than 300), document type, type of file-pdf, check preview scanning, select ADF, check scan them both sides, and here for the better part of 2 hours.

  program says to keep you charging between 25-35 @ a time and when pages per document revolving around the pages and not flip and scan to hide through.  He loved two times (not a quick learner)

  When save, close and open pda here even not close to being in the order.

  now help can't get his head around that, when some chimneys of pages feeding through the adf a cmdlet opens with a simple statement to basickly Highway, but most of the time it isn't.  you need 2 click on the small image of the page and that starts the adf to run.  until full, click done, save.

  I think the problem is in this applet appearing at random times giving simple instructions and a box click OK to start the adf and it does not appear and have 2 use the pictuture small page @ lower left.

  This is all from memory after a long and frustrating day with the machine and support.  hope I explained it correctly.  everything, everything, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  The 8600 is simply not designed to handle a 382 (191 x 2) pages the analytical work. Analytical work double face (where you scan the odd numbered pages first, keep in mind, browse, then scan the even pages), looks like a copy collated job. The specification says exemplary, on the basis of 8600 model, you can do 8 pages. This is a limitation of the size of the memory. Scan at low resolution, give you more pages, which is why the interruption every 25-35 pages. It would be much easier just scan 20 pages at a time and combine PDFs on the computer (what is it good for). Or download the template more has more memory for larger jobs, or that true double-sided scans (no need to browse around).

• Firefox.exe suddenly only 2 k (and IE 1 KB) &amp; flagged up as a malware

  January 13 (2015), I was surprised to find my anti-virus (Pure 3.0 at the time) Kaspersky software tracking upward of what follows as a malware (trojan):

  I followed the instructions to the quarantine and re - start. No problem. After re-booting, I couldn't access Firefox and discovered that he had indeed been quarantined - with IE (which I use rarely) and eBay Sidebar for Firefox (which I have not used for a long time). On the restoration of these, they are still identified as malware. Further investigation revealed that firefox.exe was only 2 KB - and that is only 1 KB.

  Kaspersky was advised to switch to total security, that I did and it has continued to identify the files as malware. Full virus controls, including safe mode, is not revealed. Run a suite of recommended anti-malware programs don't have pick up a limited number of bits and pieces (and I deleted) that Kaspersky has not, although my research on the net pointing everything be the kind of things that produce advertisements on browsers... not something that would erase or rename programs (I don't see bad ads though, perhaps because of my settings in Firefox Kaspersky and NoScript).

  Kaspersky feels firefox.exe has been altered (on 2 k, it is certainly not right) - Although that corrupt is another question. All other files \Mozilla Firefox seem to be there, and I have no problem with other software or files on my PC (just those three). Again the same thing happened to IE at the same time. That is a hard drive failing very little likely indeed - but it makes me suspicious that there was * something * deliberately made that Kaspersky did not pick up. However, it would be unusual for decent antivirus software like Kaspersky miss something. In addition, the same question must occur widely around the same time, because if everyone around the world lost their browsers he would have made the news - not to mention advertising malware that corrupts the two browsers being rather doomed to failure!

  Either way, the desktop shortcuts have been replaced by the Windows icon by default for programs that do not have a shortcut to measure. And by clicking on what was the shortcut of Firefox opens a DOS window, which closes immediately; IE does the same thing but a "16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem" error box appears (these are the days!) with:
  C:\Users\Public\Desktop\Internet client.lnk
  NTVDM CPU has encountered an invalid statement.
  CS: 123f IP:012d OP: 8f 9f af 6th ba choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
  [By clicking on 'Close' or 'ignore' both close BACK - and that's it.] [No virus or something similar is picked up and four anti-malware programs, I am using now show that my system is clean.

  So my questions are:
  (1) any thoughts on what happened?
  (2) I need to get Firefox working again. Can I simply copy firefox.exe from another machine and replace the existing 2 k firefox.exe and everything should be good, as it was before... or it is not as simple as that? (I understand that Firefox keeps preferences, etc., in separate files).

  However that could cause problems and the solution would be to download and install Firefox again by an official site, and by using a pure install involving the removal of the existing program files. (Care to leave the files and folders from one Firefox profile. In fact, it would be interesting, as a precaution suspenders belts ; Locate and save first)

    • Profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data _finding-your-profile-without-opening-Firefox

  As to what happened, you gave a well-reasoned and intelligent summary, but after the event, it's going to is almost impossible to define. Sometimes the AV brand and/or & false positives especially temporarily if not totally updated.

  Clean reinstall it

  Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

  Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu

     

     Click the close button

     

     ).

  3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
     • Windows:
       • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

• Everytime I open Thunderbird, it opens the program twice (IE in 2 identical windows), started about 3 weeks, how to fix?

  WiFi and Bluetooth on.

  You use OS X 'El Capitan' right!, airdrop stops working when I update to El capitan and the only solution I've found airdrop to work again was to return to Yosemite and stay there.

• Unsorted Bookmarks FF6.0 CAN not be remove or moved

  I upgraded firefox again 6 and there is this terrible bookmarks unsorted bookmarks menu. If is forced to the bottom which use to me and it's embarrassing. There seems to be no way to delete or move to a location that you have chosen. It is nice to have new features, some people may like this, but to make them static, so people who do not like this can't turn them off is not what use firefox as it seems, are becoming more like internet explore. If there is a way to move it or remove it, it would be useful.

  Sorry, this folder has been added to that scrolling in Firefox 6.0 because other users have complained that the Unsorted Bookmarks folder was not in this menu drop-down, and they would not have access to this folder through the sidebar or the Library window. Goes to show that you cannot satisfy all users, all the time.

  The Menu Editor extension has not worked for the menu bookmarks since versions of Firefox 2. IMO, it was never properly being updated so that changes made to the system of bookmarks for versions of Firefox 3 +. We are probably happy that it works at all that several years after the original developer stop updating itself.

  This works for me to hide it for me in the drop-down menus bar both the bookmarks BTB button (does not remove the separator it) 6.0. Either add it as a new script in Stylish or to a userChrome.css file that you create.

• Do not properly function pop-up windows of jscript

  In the options, if I check the box "open menus embedded in a new tab" nothing happens when I click on the link. If I uncheck the box by clicking on the link takes me in a new Firefox window directly to the page. If I click on the link even in Chrome or IE9, I get a jscript window which asks me a question before you take me to the page.

  When I click on save as a favorite, it asks me to Sign-in or register. If it's the pop-up you talk then its working fine for me even if I use Firefox Pop - Up Blocker or not.

  Make sure that you use all the module windows blocker or AdBlocking blocking or extensions of the Antivirus.

• The ad blocking and Privacy Extensions for Safari

  Hello.  I have two questions really.  I often watch videos using sites such as Vodlocker, thevideo.me, GorillaVid, beststreams, streamin.to, vidzi.tv, etc..,.

  1. What are the best extensions to use Safari block ads, menus, embedded, redirects and especially pop-under?  I have AdBlock Plus, but it doesn't seem to block ads and work well with redirects or pop-under.  And Yes, I already have the box checked in my security settings to block pop ups!  (In my experience, it doesn't work well.)

  There are also Ublock, Ka-block!, Wipr, Adamant and Glimmer Blocker I know.  The problem is the Gallery Extension Safari no longer allows the notice of any extension, which is ridiculous.  Not being tilted technologically, I relied heavily on reviews!  For the life of me, I do not understand why Apple has stopped allowing customers.  Ublock caused some sites Web works is not for me.

  2. what privacy extensions work best?  In general, for general use in computer science and in conjunction with ad extensions?

  I would like to find the best combination of ad blocking and security extensions.  Unfortunately, I am not versed with those who is so advanced, requiring the user to enter and write the code to prevent certain types of advertising.  I'm open to hearing all the tips and suggestions!  And thanks in advance to those who take the time to reply and help!

  There are a few easy steps you can take to improve your privacy on the Web.

  In the Safari menu bar, select

  ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ Extensions

  An inventory of the extensions you have installed, as appropriate. A few Safari extensions are adware or spyware. Carefully read the privacy policies or the terms of use. Delete everything that you don't really need, or you are not sure.

  An extension that you may want to install is called "Ghostery." It blocks tracking cookies a lot. Extensions "ClickToFlash" and "ClickToPlugin" prevents Flash content from loading automatically.

  If you have installed hacks supported by advertising as "Glims" affecting the Safari, uninstall them as instructed by the developer. Doing so will improve the stability of Safari, as well as your privacy.

  In the Safari Preferences dialog box, select the Privacy tab. You have the option to delete data, such as cookies, stored on your computer by web servers. You can delete all of these data, or only some of them remove by clicking on the Details button. The other parameters are little explicit.

  On a more advanced level, you can change the DNS servers used by your computer or router, to find the addresses of all the Internet servers that you use. In general, the best choice from the point of view of privacy is to use the DNS servers of your ISP. Your Internet traffic goes through the network of your Internet service provider anyway, so in theory, there is no loss of privacy in the use of its DNS servers. Avoid third party DNS services such as "OpenDNS", which is in the business of selling your information to marketing specialists.

  Consider using software like 'GlimmerBlocker' ad-blocking, which also blocks certain forms of abuse of JavaScript that can be used to track you. It is only suitable for advanced users, and it can block some web content you want to see.
