ADF Logger | How to configure Weblogic Server

Hi all

I use JDev 12 c and weblogic server 10.3.

I have configured the recorder in my local, using logging.xml and print newspapers in specific file. which works fine locally.

Now, I have to implement the same stand-alone weblogic Server (production).

I understand that by the link below is, I'll have logging.xml in the server as well and I have to configure the same setting in weblogic server.

JDeveloper frequently asked Questions: FAQ #33 - how to set up the recording of WLS, PT. 3 Diagnostics ADF

But I don't see any of the weblogic server logging.xml file.

Please suggest how can I implement the same in weblogic server.

Thank you

Vieira

    Hello

From WLS10... as soon as you create a Cluster, by default it will use the type of Communication as "Unicast". But if you want to change... then please follow the steps in AdminConsole below:

    * 1). * click lock & Edit button
    * 2). * AdminConsole---> environments---> cluster--->---> Communication (tab)---> (tab Sub) messaging
When this page changes the "Mode of messaging:" Unicast or Multicast.
    * 3). * save changes, and then activate the changes.

  • How to add jsession ID to an ADF web application deployed in weblogic server?

    Hello

I use jdeveloper 11.1.2.4 version. Can anyone tell please how to add custom JSESSIONID (BLTSESSIONID) to the URL of the web application ADF that must be deployed in weblogic server. I tried the following approach. but it did not work for me.

    in webogic.xml, I added

    < session descriptor - >

    < name > BLTSESSIONID < / cookie-name >

    < / session descriptor >

However, I've added the weblogic.xml manually from the gallery.

Could someone help me on this please?

    Thank you

You don't have to add the session ID to the URL. The Web application automatically manages session IDS. By default, it uses an HTTP cookie (a cookie with name JSESSIONID) therefor. The Web application will automatically add it to the URL only if it detects that the client browser does not support cookies (for example, if the user has disabled cookies in the browser). By adding the lines above to weblogic.xml you just changed the name of cookie JSESSIONID to BLTSESSIONID default session. This is useful only if you have access to a couple of different Web applications from one and the same server and you want every application to maintain a clean session (for example, each application having a different session cookie name). If all applications on the server use one and same name cookie (JSESSIONID for example) and you have access to more than one application at the same time in one and the same browser (and even multiple instances of the browser, with the exception of some special cases), you will not be able to work with these applications correctly because the next access to another application will replace the cookie and you will lose the session to the requests earlier. Because HTTP cookies are maintained at the level of server name, it's not at the level of application root. In this case, you must specify the application names specific cookie (what you did above).

  • How to deploy ADF security active app in weblogic server

    Hello

I activated the ADF security in my application and created some users and roles.
the application works fine in my integrated Weblogic Server.

Now when I deploy the application in autonomous WLS, Login is not successful there.
    I've been following the thread:
11g ADF security: deploy to WebLogic 10.3.1
and created some user in the WLS console, but its does not work for me.

    I use Jdeveloper11.1.1.4 & weblogic server 10.3.4

Please guide me to deploy my application to WLS with appropriate measures.
I have to migrate ADF security policies & If yes then how?

    TIA,
    Vishal

    Hello
From Jdeveloper11.1.1.3 you don't need to migrate to the stand-alone weblogic Server ADF security policies. Make sure that the default authentication in the field of the security provider has its indicator of control as 'sufficient' (default is 'required').
In Application--> Application--> deployment properties make sure that all the Security deployment options are enabled (crush strategies application and credentials, migrate users and groups).

  • How to configure weblogic as a provider of services SAML2

    Hello

I have to configure weblogic 11g to work with an external PCI, which is actually the Dutch SurfConext to the Dutch education sector, so I used their metadata (https://wiki.surfnet.nl/display/surfconextdev/Connection+metadata)

I have configured the weblogic Server mainly after https://blogs.oracle.com/blogbypuneeth/entry/steps_to_configure_saml_2.

I have configured an authenticator (sufficient) SAML2 and SAM2 identity Asserter (in that order). Then, on the machine, I configured the tab provider in the title of the Federation Services and SAML2 Services tab.

But although I have enabled debugging for saml2 managed configured server, I don't see no logging when I tried to reach the webapplication. I used the sample application destination of the blog. The application that I have to ensure this way has an own login page. When you try the sample dest webapplication URL I receive the 403 forbidden error, but no record on saml2.

I Google around several times, and I think that I have to configure something in the web.xml or weblogic.xml file. But in fact, I can't find the settings. I assumed that he would make the Web.XML of the dest sampl application (where the auth-method is set to BASIC and myrealm domain name). And if it works that the actual application must be configured the same.

Should that happen, it is that when I try to reach the base URL of the web application, the browser is rerouted to the IDP-"Where are you" page, where the user can choose his college/university/organization and then login. After cutting the PDI (SurfConext) should carry the browser with the SAML token to weblogic where the user is routed to the main page of the Web application.

So I think that there is a configuration to do to get the webapplication secured by the identity Asserter SAML2. Or in weblogic (correct URL) and/or in the web.xml file.

Can someone help me with the steps that I apparently missed? And maybe ask the correct questions get me on the right track?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    Martian

Apparently I mistakenly packed the zip of the blog in a war file. There was a defective additional level of the directory structure in the zip.

    Dear all,

We use Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.2.0) reports and forms for our applications in the client side. With VMware Workstation 7 you should not need to manually configure the .vmx file. Create a new custom virtual machine and select ESX as the guest operating system. This will configure the virtual material suitable as an E1000 network adapter...

How Jdev deploys and configures Weblogic server, it works fine, but when I run THE SAME server manually, deploying application using JDEV running the application failed (see above the exception)

Maybe I should use profile EAR instead of WAR, to deploy all connections and other things on weblogic?

    Hello

You have configured the module of your application to use a JDBC data source? To do this, right click the app module in the browser, select type from the dialog box that appears and Configurations change the connection to the JDBC Data Source and enter your data source name - which should be the same as the source of data created on the weblogic server.

Also, I do not pretend you create an EAR file - that's what we tested and certified with. You can find more details in the chapter of deployment of the fusion Developer's guide: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/deployment_topics.htm#CHDJJDDG.

You will first need to create a domain. The script will be generated for each area. So far, you have only installed the weblogic binaries. Run the config.sh to create the domain.
