    Hello
You can adjust this to your mouse control panel.  Here's how:
1 type the word mouse in your Start menu, then choose mouse option that appears.
    2. According to your brand of computer, you'll see a Touchpad tab or button to adjust the touchpad settings.  If you do not immediately see it, check the Hardware tab, at the top, which usually have a settings... button to access the options of the touchpad.
3 - once there, you can adjust or turn off the "Scroll Zones" or "simple gestures of the fingers.  These names may be different depending on who built your computer, but it will be probably pretty close to this.

  • How can I change the sensitivity of the touchpad on my laptop Windows 8 Samsung series 3?

I can't find a setting that allows me to adjust the touchpad sensitivity.  I can pinch to zoom in with ease, but I can't two fingers scrolling unless I dig my nails into the protector with strength.  And, even then, it works sometimes.

Settings-> Imput gives me only option to turn the touchpad on or off.

  • Satellite U920T - when I slip on the touchpad no longer works

I use my u920t for almost 10 mount and I like that I can still use the touchscreen when the keyboard is out.

But a couple of days it has stopped working. I can't change anything.

Windows tells me now that the screen is not a touch screen.
Once I put the screen down and switch to Tablet mode, everything works fine.
Tablet PC setting in Control Panel also disappear once the keyboard is on...

I tried to reinstall the driver.
I also did a refresh of windows 8 (no backup, unfortunately)

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for your help.

    > Adjustment of tablet PCs in the Control Panel also disappear once the keyboard is on...
I guess it must be OK because the Tablet PC settings should only be available if the laptop is used in tablet mode

The point is that this laptop can be used in three different modes.
    (1) compressed mode-> the keyboard and touchpad are drawn in and touch screen can only be used
    (2) laptop mode-> the keyboard and touchpad are pulled
    (3) mode photography-> keyboard comes in the but the touchpad is out and can be used as well as the touch screen.

I m not very well if the orientation lock button (on the left) would affect the touch screen, but it turns out that the use of this automatic orientation of the screen rotation button can be enabled or disabled.
If you run the laptop or in photography mode, the orientation of the screen will always be in landscape mode.

Also check if the touch screen has been properly calibrated
Go to the control panel (win key + x Control Panel)-> Tablet PC settings

You will find the first tab called display
Click the Setup button to launch the Setup where you could point to the touch screen
In the substantive area called display display options you could calibrate the touch.

  • Satellite P300 - how to set the sensitivity of the touchpad?

I read all the forums without success. Is it possible to set the sensitivity of the touchpad? I went into the control panel and clicked by the mouse settings, but there is no 'Advanced' or 'Synaptics' tabs to adjust. For the moment, I use the FN + F9 to turn off the touch pad altogether, however, I hope that it is a short-term solution. Thanks for any response.

If the Synaptics driver is preinstalled on your laptop, you can find advanced settings HERE.
When you open the properties of the last option is the sensitivity.

How to set the sensitivity of the touchpad on a laptop HP Pavilion g7? I use Windows 8 and the cursor constantly jumps around the screen as I type. It makes me crazy! I've already slowed down the speed of the pointer, but it did not help.

    Hey rjgdetroid,

Yes, you can certainly adjust sensitivity settings according to your preferences! Here's how to do it in Windows 8: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03523373

It's also a good idea to keep your touchpad drivers up-to-date, because they improvements to how it works and even add new features. You can grab the latest drivers here: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

    I hope this helps!

  • How do you turn off the coast of the touchpad mouse on an inspiron 1545 Dell laptop?

My touch pad is so sensative, sometimes I touch again and she mobilizes. I VERY rarely use it. I don't want to turn it off completely, I just turn it off. If someone could tell me how turn off when I don't want to use it and turn it back on when I please? Or should I contact Dell and ask them?

    Hello

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

  • HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC: can't disable the touchpad / click from installing windows 10

I am able to disable the keypad to click in the settings, but as soon as the computer goes to sleep or restarts the cushion click is activated. I prefer to use a mouse via USB. How to make the adjustment remains permanently until I want to activate the key again.  The computer indicates that the driver is up-to-date. I tried to go back to the old driver, which didn't help. As soon as windows can be delivered the internal keyboard is on again once. This has happened only since installing windows 10. I hope that I did not need to return to windows 8 to solve this problem.

    Hello

I would like to inform that Microsoft have released patches to update to solve problems related to the touchpad. I suggest to go ahead and run Windows updates and check if it helps to solve the problem. Also run the HP support assistant software to check the updates from HP do you driver.
If the steps above don't help you.

    Try the following
    Open regedit.exe
    Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install
Note it's the LOCAL MACHINE, not the CURRENT USER.
Search for a key in the installation folder called DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade
Double click and change the value to 0

Now go back in the Panel of Synaptics, put all how you like and restart.  See if it keeps the settings.

If it is not difficulty, navigate to the Device Manager and go to 'Mouse and other pointing devices' right click on the synaptics driver and go to properties and under the driver tab control if you can 'dismantling' of the driver.

    Thank you

  • Cannot adjust the brightness of the screen after the new installation of Windows 7

I have a Pavilion dv2945se notebook. I have completely updated the Nvidia geforce 7150 m drivers. My laptop came with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit, and I did a new install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I can't adjust the brightness of the display. I narrowed down the problem to the generic PnP Monitor driver. How can I solve this problem?

Edit: I mean "impossible to adjust the brightness of the display" that every time I go into power options and trying to use the cursor, Windows Explorer crashes. Also, my fn + F7 and F8 keys light work before I connect to windows, but not after. I think that something will charge when I connect to windows that is causing the problem. So I went in Mode safe, but then all that allows to control the brightness has not loaded when I went into safe mode, which was not helpful. I also went into MSConfig and disabled all startup programs, but again, I have the same problem. The brightness of the keys work before connect you to Windows, but not thereafter.

When I turn off the device generic PnP monitor (1) can't adjust the brightness at all and (2) the Power Options window stops freezing. That's how I've narrowed the problem to the generic PnP Monitor driver.

I finally solved this by uninstalling the driver for the ALPS touchpad. Because there are no Windows 7 drivers for my laptop even though it is listed in the models capable of upgrading to Windows 7, I used Windows Vista touchpad drivers. It was the cause of my problem with brightness adjustment. I don't know why it worked, but I've narrowed it down by disabling all processes start and then from their one at a time to see what caused the problem. As soon as I started Apoint.exe, I started to have problems.

Now, I just have to find a way to disable the touchpad tapping without the ALPS drivers.

  • Cannot adjust the brightness of the laptop monitor

I'm not sure when this problem started, but I'm guessing it's when I've updated my graphics driver (Nvidia) or software of the chipset (Intel).

After a while, I noticed that my brightness keyboard shortcuts were not working, but other hotkeys (touchpad, volume, sleep, wi - fi, bluetooth, etc.) were still working.

Since I use my laptop for most on my desk with the max brightness settings, I ignored it for a while.

When I happened to use up the outside of the battery, the monitor went automatically minimum brightness settings.

I tried to find the brightness slider in the control panel or the mobility Center, but they have been missing.

The options for the Adaptive brightness disappeared as well.

Now I don't see a way to adjust the brightness of my.

I tried a variety of suggestions available on the web, including:

    create a new user account,

    validation of account information,

Remove and reinstall the driver for the monitor,

search for 'brilliance' in the start menu,

    re-installation of software hotkey,

rolling back the graphics drivers and chipset (from those provided by the manufacturer).

I spoke with a Microsoft support for topic a couple of hours, still no luck (he was very nice anyway).

If anyone is suggesting the control panel Windows or Nvidia color grading, I don't mean for those, since I need to adjust the brightness of the backlight of the screen, not software-ish of calibration of the colours on the screen.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate on CLEVO M860TU with monitor Chi Mei N154Z1-L02

I am looking for a way to restore the brightness sliders, or at least to adjust the brightness manually.

When I had to happen, I was able to restore by doing this:

    (1) open Device Manager

    (2) right click and uninstall the monitor (not the graphics driver, but the monitor specifically)

    3) click on the "Scan for new hardware" button on the toolbar above

    (4) try to use the brightness slider functions once again (either in Center of energy or mobility settings).

Has worked for me, I would like to know if it helps you too.

  • How * disable * the touchpad power function?

Hi, I have a craving dv7 and it has a function whereby if you press twice on the left upper corner of the touchpad, it switches it on or off.

I want to DISABLE this feature, because I'm constantly tripping by accident in the normal conditions of use and so am always disable the touchpad and have to tap twice again to reactivate.

I looked online and the documentation but have found no way to disable this feature.  Does anyone know how?

    THX,

    Chris

FYI, I contacted HP Support and they sent me the following, which tells how do.

If it please click on the links below and follow the steps mentioned in the Web page under the section adjust single and double tapping.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03523373

Unlike in the image settings window the touchpad in the link above, the settings window of the touchpad on the dv7 want is not an expandable tree for tapping settings, but it has an icon of the gear to the right that if clicked, opens another window of dialogue that has a checkbox to enable/disable this feature.
