  • Admin Log in problems, far from redirects auto...

    Hello

I am faced with a new site on Business Catalyst. I already runs a little through the system, but this one has problems. I warn you, I find the system very confusing and not so well designed commercial catalyst admin... I think I might have mucked DNS settings this time at launch.

Memory I clicked on external DNS, (I know now that's not how my other sites are actually) but I can not connect to see...

I've changed server names and the values of A DNS to point to the correct IP address, but now every time I try and log in to the administration panel of Business Catalyst, I redirect to the site instead, which is a page of portfolio for the domain provider...

    Help, please

    Ed

    Hi Ed,

You set up one or the other, not the servers of names and records. A change in file is if you want Web traffic to point only to a site like BC. Name servers are for all traffic - it would be if you were using BC for emails etc.

It would take effect however not admin redirecting to the Web site unless you are not loging in correctly or you implement a redirection of domain under this URL.

What happens when you go to... http://YOURSITEPREFIXHERE.businesscatalyst.com/admin ? (If you have your own domain partner instead of businesscatalyst use)

  • The OUD admin log

    Hello

What is the content of the journal admin OUD...

    It contains information of activities?

as if I create an account that stores documents in it... If Yes... there IP, username... what else will be there?

Same newspaper (probably the one shot) will show you. Search the change operation that locked your username and then watch the corresponding binding operation to see who did it. The value of conn is the link between operations. If they have it done under cn = Directory Manager rather than on their own, the way you can trace it is if they did directly from their machine. IE the address "connect to", but it's not very likely, because they probably used DOHAD so the address would be the DOHAD machine.

    Hi Michaelthetruck,

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you try the steps in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article and check.

"Access denied" error message when you try to open a folder

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/810881

Method 2: You can also take the owner of the file/folder, to steps, consult the following article:

  • Why can I not see my admin account?

I tried to set up a password to protect a folder in my documents.  It seemed to work until after turning off the computer and restrating it later I could not see the admin log and my user accounts do not have the data of this file or music or other files in the admin account.  If I start the computer in safe mode I can log on to the admin account, but it does not appear when I start the computer in normal mode.  I have no password or recovery discs and am running XP pro.  How to do the admin sign in option available in normal mode?

    • Click Start, run and type Regedit.exe
    • Navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-Microsoft-Windows NT------CurrentVersion------Winlogon------SpecialAccounts-UserList

    • Use the file export option to back up the key just in case
    • Create a new DWORD value named administrator
    • Double click on administratorand enter 1 as its data
    • Exit the registry editor.
  • After recovery, admin password information with 'points' and impossible to remove or change

    Hello.

I ran yesterday, updates of Windows 7 but only those necessary.  I do not have one of those as an option.  After the updates completed, I turned on the computer and he was stuck in a loop cycle - from windows, then the admin password, connect you box came.  The box was fiiled in (with "dots" but too many to represent my password) and the screen just quickly flashed back & forth between the login screen and 'incorrect password '.     I tried to change username, and it flashed back into the admin log.

I did a system restore to the factory settings (after saving all data) using the recovery discs.  After recovery, the screen "Set a password for the account" comes with the box below "Type a password" completely filled with dots.  I can't delete them with the BACKSPACE or DELETE key.  If I put highlight and then try to erase it with BACKSPACE or DELETE, the cursor just moves on the right side of the password box, but it is not always remove the defective "dots" password so that I can change.

I tried to restart with the power and then switch on again.  After selecting the country & language again, same password screen developed.

It's stuck!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  I have computer I have is the HP Touchsmart 310 1155 - Y.

    Thank you!

It's curious with a recovery.  First, try to reset the password using NTPassword.  Do the boot CD that him following the signs.  If this does not resolve the problem of signon, think to install the operating system from a typical drive of Windows 7 to the same version, using the key of the COA sticker.

  • Vista for admin is displayed in black and white, safe mode he color__How can I solve this?

It's for my computer vista laptop professional 32-bit, I run, I have a NVIDIA Geforce 9600 M GT video card, which displays its colors very well in safe mode which I am right now.

I tried to update the driver, and it shows that I have the latest updated driver for my card, which I doubt has problems because safe mode clearly shows the colors. I tried in the admin change all aspects of the display to check if, somehow, it shows color without result.

I have not change anything until the problem happens, the last action I did before putting it in black and white, was admin log, and put the computer in mode "Eve". I tried to access low and high graphic games after the problem, and the low graphic games can be played in black and white, while the high graphic games are not. They display an error on x-ray engine which I assume is due to the lack of color on the screen.

I also tried a system restore, but it failed because all the 3 times, he showed that nothing has changed for the restoration of the system has failed.

I hope this is enough information to troubleshoot. (I restarted and tried to update and even downloaded program Mr. Fix It Microsoft and unsuccessfully yet.)

    PLS, help

It wasn't her, but I managed to solve the problem but another way. Believe it or not, under the digital vibrance I just had it higher than before, but the strange thing is that I never played with this setting under my nvidia Control Panel. Another is that whenever I have a graphic problem with my theme (which is three times since I increased the digital vibrance), it turns black and white display before they change.

I think that maybe it won't be a temporary solution, because I can not find the reason for the error of digital vibrance begin wth or as to why the screen goes black and white when my theme does not appear himself.

But thanks to try it regardless, but this isn't the high contrast setting. Become text and th white black screen, rather mycomputer transformed into black and white way somewhat.

  • Keystroke logging

With the help of ACS and Ganymede + record keystrokes users type in when they enter the commands on a device such as a router or a switch?

Yes, you can record some commands a user has run on the box of Cisco IOS. For this you must first configure permission to order on the IOS device as well as accounting. Here are the commands that you need.

    AAA new-model

AAA authentication login default group local Ganymede

AAA authorization exec default group if authenticated Ganymede

AAA authorization commands by default 0 if authenticated group Ganymede

AAA authorization commands default group 1 if authenticated Ganymede

AAA authorization commands 15 Ganymede group by default authenticated if

AAA accounting command 0 Ganymede group by default

orders accounting AAA 1 Ganymede group by default

AAA accounting command 15 Ganymede group by default

    RADIUS-server host x.x.x.x ket

We also configure authorization on the ACS server control using the link below (Note: this link show the example of ACS using PIX configuration, but you can set up the same way IOS devices)

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/products/sw/secursw/ps2086/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00801fd7cb.html

Once we have configured the ACS and IOS devices, you can check the commands run by users in ACS by going to the reports & activities > Ganymede admin logs.

  • using the admin account to create shortcuts in folders of other users

Is it possible to be able to edit other users of data such as creating a shortcut for them without having to restart the computer? The same happens for messing around in Program Files, Program Files (x 86) or the Start Menu.
I'm looking forward and a simple operation that used to take seconds XP is a bread PITA in Vista and 7 because I now need to log in as administrator, disable UAC, restart, wait, you connect again as the admin, my simple management operation, re - enable user annoyance control and then restart it again.
What used to take 2 minutes now takes 10-15 minutes because of all what to expect as the computer to reboot and let me, connect.

Am I missing something? A way to drag some files where I want to make a shortcut and you NOT say "Windows cannot create the shortcut you want here. Do you want to put me on the desktop instead?

I'm supposed to be the administrator, these things really annoy me. UAC is useful to raise my usual account, but it's really annoying when it blocks the admin to do something. At least, it could give an admin logged in as the administrator the opportunity to do what he wants to do when messing around with files and folders. Even an annoying "are you sure?" would be better than being completely blocked.

If there is a way to do it, let me know. I'm not talking about 'doing the shortcut on the desktop, then copy it where you want', I want to just open an Explorer window and be able to do what I want, as I often need to perform multiple operations and the delay being the guest for everyone is really annoying and slows me down.
Especially when I compare it to Windows 95, 98, 98SE and XP, I've done this sort of thing with extensive experience.

Especially when I compare it to Windows 95, 98, 98SE and XP, I've done this sort of thing with extensive experience.

Windows9x version boosted BACK with only laughable security restrictions, it is not a good argument in support of your complaint. Your problem is caused by UAC, which was introduced in Vista. You can work around it by running Windows Explorer under elevated as follows:

    1. Start an elevated command prompt.
    2. Kill explorer.exe from this command prompt.
    3. Explorer.exe from this command prompt.
You can now use Windows Explorer to access the folders of other users.

  • Cannot install Adobe AIR - need the Admin permission.

I can't install Adobe AIR on my Windows XP as it the error message says that I need to contact the administrator.

    RE:

"An error occurred during the installation of Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator. »

I am the owner of my PC, so the amin should be myself but do not know how to do this.

I tried the right click on the Adobe icon on my desktop to access the admin log in, but I am unable to do so because he does not accept the passwords that I entered.

I need to bypass the admin or find a way to access my admin. I think I read somewhere that Adobe may have an apllication for this but would not find.

Someone has an idea how this app works on my PC?

I'm sorry that you run into problems installing with AIR.  Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help to resolve installation problems.  Would you mind giving it a try and let us know how it works for you?  When you run the patch, go through the uninstall process and trying to remove Adobe AIR on your system.  Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

Microsoft install and uninstall the fix it

If you're still having problems, you need to view the AIR installer log to better diagnose the problem.  Please post back with the content of the newspaper.  You can find instructions to find these papers here:
