  • Certified PDF not opening for some versions of adobe reader

    Hello

I created a PDF with form fields and adds a valid certificate.

Until the certificate has been added, I am able to open the pdf file.

However, after adding the certificate, I am unable to open the pdf file.

The version I use is Adobe Reader 11.0.9.

How can I get the pdf certified to open with the same speed as the one without?

Is it possible to bypass security improvement without changing the settings adobe (i.e. Mode disabling protected or disable enhanced security)?

Is it possible to bypass using JavaScript?

Note: I tried with Adobe Reader 11.0.11 as well and could not open the PDF so certified.

Using versions earlier is not an option because it does not allow to save the PDF with form fields.

Use other software is not an option as well. I just want to work with Adobe Reader.

This confirms my theory that this "slowness" is due to some expire CRL/OCSP to certain layers of the network.

If you can ask your admin whitelist access to these URL CRL and OCSP endpoint on your local network, so that these URLS are not blocked, that should help solve the problem. With the details that you already have, it should be quite clear to her what needs to be done.

  • File PDF not opening not in Firefox

    Here is my site: http://www.naaip.org/

I have a lot of PDF files there which worked fine before, but since a few days, Firefox is not able to open. It starts loading stops.

    Here are few of them:

    http://www.naaip.org/Gerber.PDF
    http://www.naaip.org/forethought.PDF
    http://www.naaip.org/CIGNA.PDF

    And many others...

I first tried fixing PDFs, thinking they might have been damaged. But when I checked the same pdfs in Chrome all work correctly. So that means the files PDF is fine.

I spend much of my time to find a solution to this but find nothing.

One last thing, I downloaded the pdf, even on my other site and it opens fine in Firefox. It's here: http://www.bestmedicaresupplement.com/gerber.pdf

Please someone help to find the solution for it. Looks like it could be a problem with my hosting, but if someone knows something, it will be a fast tick for me to solve.

  • PDF not opening in the browser

Just yesterday I am unable to open a PDF file with my browser (Chrome).

He wants me to download the file.  Until yesterday, I was able to open any file and just view it with the browser with download them as a file.

What should I do to be able to go back to viewing a PDF file with uploading them?

I feel the same way. I searched and it looks like Chrome version 42 will not activate the NPAPI Plugins.

    "

    Hello!

From Chrome 42, plugins like Adobe Reader NPAPI began the final phase of the withdrawal and no longer works or shown on the chrome://plugins page.

    http://www.chromium.org/developers/NPAPI-deprecation

Rather of chrome://plugins to ensure that the integrated PDF Viewer "Chrome" is enabled, which let you view PDFs in Chrome. »

  • PDF not opening not in the Firefox browser?

    Hello

I have the typical call of link for a PDF file. Chrome & IE, it opens in a fresh tab or window.

In Firefox, strange behavior - it brings up the application Acrobat dialog box asking if I want to open or save. Never seen this before. Why can be?

    Please see < a href = ' documents/Important - Information.pdf' target = '_blank' > INFORMATION IMPORTANT HERE < /a >

    I use Firefox 46.0.1

    Thank you...

This has nothing to do with your code, but rather, how you have Firefox set up to provide PDF content.

    In Firefox...

    1. go to tools > Options

    2. Choose Applications

    3. scroll down to Portable Document Format (PDF)

    4. under the Action, it is probably configured to use Adobe Acrobat (by default), click on and choose "Preview in Firefox.

It will work for your version of Firefox. There is nothing you can do to force the machine to the Viewer to view the PDF in the browser if they put him to launch the PDF in Acrobat as you / did.

I have Adobe XI on my computer.  When I try to open a PDF file in Internet Explorer, it goes to Windows Media Player and I can't open the PDF file.

If you right-click a PDF file on your system and choose Properties, on the general tab, a section for "Open with" and you should be able to browse to: C/Program Files / Adobe/11.0/player and select AcroRd32.exe as the default application to open it. Click 'Apply' to keep for all of THE PDF files, and then click OK.

  • Preview will not open the hyperlink to the specific DOI PDF format

    Hi all

I generated a PDF of markdown by Pandoc (with xelatex as the tex engine); the PDF document contains hyperlinks URLS. One of hyperlinks is a specific address of DOI: doi:10.2307 / 488160. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, this link accurately opens in Firefox (my default browser) and is then solved using a DOI Manager that I have in firefox. Overview, however, will not open the link. When you click, you get just that boing sound error.

I believe this may have to do with the security aspects of preview that are cooked in the program - what kind of overview is able to open external files. There was a discussion on this here, but it is not exactly answered my question: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/119299/why-preview-app-refuse-to-open-local-lien-dans-un PDF file.

If this isn't a connected safety side overview, is it possible to adjust preferences overview way treats the links that start by "doi:"? Other ideas.

Note: I know there is a better way to include the Doi in Tex docs (with the DOI package) as the starting URL by "doi:" but I like to keep my Markdown as clearly readable as possible and does not markup inside latex. I might add a Pandoc filter for this - but I would rather understand the problem of this end if possible.

    Thank you!

... One of hyperlinks is a specific address of DOI: doi:10.2307 / 488160.

This address SHOULD you present is only the persistent identifier. To make a connection, precede the string with the http://dx.doi.org/ url so that your example is http://dx.doi.org/10.2307/488160

Basically, the url is a program of resolution. By including a DOI link, there is no need for the Manager/addon Firefox DOI. You can have the text that is displayed differs from the URL. In other words, the manuscript shows doi:10.2307/488160 but the underlying url link is http://dx.doi.org/10.2307/488160

You can see the particular style guide that you must follow to display format specifications. For example, see details for APA style.

My new Office Jet 8500 (A910-G) seems to correctly perform a scan to PDF, but the PDF file does not open, gives me the error message "the selected document cannot be opened" in PDF Complete.

I agree that it's a software because it works well with Adobe Acrobat.  It's just PDF Complete (which was free with my HP computer) does not work!

After several hours of searching I found a solution. The error was in my user profile folder. With a new user account, the pdf file is saved normally. I deleted several files related to hp scan in my folder ~ / Library, but the error kept. So I ended up creating a new user profile for me
