• Location of FDM mapping question...?

  I'm new to FDM. I have my trying to understand how the different parts of mapping affect. "In the administration of FDM Guide, Parent location is defined as.

  Location of the parents, the affected parent to location. The store uses the mapping table

  of its parent. Multiple sites can share a parent. This feature is useful when several

  locations use a chart of accounts. Changes to a child or a parent mapping table are applied

  for children and parent everywhere. »

  Now I see a few places in my app location Parent defined as "[NONE]". So if all change mapping applied to another place of the mother, is there a way that it can affect locations with the Parent site "[NONE]"?

  Locations taking place Parent defined as "[NONE]" will have their own unique independent mappings. Thus, any mapping changes applied somewhere else of the mother, has no effect on the premises with the location of the Parent "[NONE]".

  In addition, for a place with a valid address of the specified Parent, changes made to the maps of the location of the parent or the child's location will impact maps of the location of the Parent.

• Error connecting to any application of FDM customer

  When I connect to FDM weblogon I got this error error: an error occurred on the scoring system in.
  Detail: Hyperion FDM Application Server AppSrv1 does not respond! and when I do with workbench I can't see the structure of my application, you have an idea or a solution?

  There are two separate issues:
  1. failed to connect on the Web
  2. unable to connect from the Client Workbench.

  For the #1 question, it seems that your installation is not correct. I would ensure that you have followed the Configuration of FDM guide and and the EMP Documentation of Installation for a correct installation. Also, please ensure that the account of Service of Hyperion is contained in the local Administrators group on all computers.

  Question #2 it seems that the user ID running the Win32 Workbench is not an administrator on the servers of FDM and has no access to the range of COM objects + and files structures.

• Enable SSH access to administrative accounts non-standard

  Hi all

  According to the administration of VCS Guide (p 298, x8.5.1), he suggests that "in general, local administrator accounts are used to access the VCS on its web interface or the interface API, but are not allowed to access the CLI".

  Well, I would like to make an exception then, how do I do this. The sentence that precedes suggests that exceptions are possible, but I can't find additional references.

  We looked at the ' / etc/ssh/sshd_config ', but of course, it is a read-only file structure.

  I don't think it's possible, outside the admin account to access the CLI.  I know that the sentence says "In general", but to me, it reads as if all CLI access is reserved to all except the admin account.

• Unable Loing FDM Web Application

  FDM and FDMEE are completely separate applications. On your screenshot, it appears that you are trying to connect to the classical FDM and yet you have provisioned against FDMEE. If you want to connect to conventional FDM, return to Shared Services and of yourself as an administrator for FDM as opposed to FDM Enterprise Edition. However, if you want to connect to FDMEE, you connect to the workspace and choose it the option of data integration in the Administration menu.

• Question of guided Consolidation

  Hi all

  I'm going to re - take my test on Wednesday (missed by three darn points the first time), and I was going on the examination plan to see what topics I was not comfortable with.  Objective 6.4: Use the features of guided Consolidation is something that I know I need to go into detail, but I can't seem to find many product literature only Guided Consolidation.  I find a lot of places where Guided Consolidation is briefly mentioned, or it is referred to as a Virtual Center feature, but I can't seem to find anything that provides detailed information that the purpose of the review tells me that I need to know.

  I also had problems of documentation on Converter Enterprise, but after a little research, I realize the name has changed and I was looking for the wrong thing.

  Anyway.  Someone at - it a link to a .pdf file, or to a resource that explains better Guided Consolidation?  Or is it one of those things I have to put my hands to get what I need for the review?

  Someone at - it a list of variables that I can use in this area.  I know that I can use name as what name as or the name starts with etc...

  It follows the same rules as the Script Console queries, or queries QueryService scope rule queries or queries derived metric bearings.

  You can use practically anything in the model of the topology, except comments/metrics, in queries.

  Hi all

  Our company is currently having an internal debate whether Foglight can replace IBM Netcool Omnibus.  I had a conference call with Gartner last week to discuss the surveillance as a whole and one gentlemen on the phone said that "Foglight can replace Omnibus' which has left me a bit confused because I know that we have had these discussions with Dell, who said that they are not a replacement for Netcool Omnibus. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and I couldn't get their probe on this statement.

  We currently use the functionality of Netcool Omnibus in 5 ways that are:

  Event command line injection

  There is a binary called postzmsg which is drawn from the command line with parameters that contain the severity, summary, on call group and so on.

  Syslog monitoring
  Omnibus has a probe called syslog that we use for monitoring Oracle database log files and trigger events in Omnibus if specific events are found in the newspaper.  This is done in real time.

  SNMP traps
  Omnibus currently listening to breaks SNMP of some of our products like CA Autosys and cypress trees of the ASG.

  
  

  E-mail

  Omnibus was an electronic probe that monitors a specific e-mail (Google) for specifically formatted e-mail account and then turns them into an Omnibus event.  We use usually this method as a last resort because it is dependent on the e-mail.

  Automation of self-correction
  Omnibus contains what is called "Actions".  We can search for specific events, and then take corrective action with Automation in Omnibus to fix what caused the event. An example of this would be with our product CA Autosys.  Omnibus search specifically for events 'pulse' every 5 minutes. These heartbeats are sent directly by a job in Autosys which in turn proves Autosys is running.  If Omnibus does not see the heart beat, she considers as inactive Autosys and run scripts which then try to restart Autosys save.  Omnibus then reports if this attempt succeeded or failed and worsens the severity according to its conclusions.

  Please keep in mind that all of these methods are with an event-driven approach rather than a performance-based approach.

  I really need to have a clear picture on whether and how the Foglight can cope with the event focused on issues.

  I asked Dell technical support who said the follow-up:

  You may be able to use a script agent to meet your needs.  The script agent could return data to the FMS and you could have a rule that fires based on the data returned.You would be responsible to creating the script used by the agent.  There is a "Builiding Script Agents" section under the "Customizing Your Environment with Tooling | Building Script Agents" in the Foglight Administration and Configuration guide.
  

  Has anyone had experience with this? What was the result? Do you use today? Advantages vs disadvantages?

  If anyone has the source code example that it would be really appreciated! I am also very interested in hearing other thoughts which have Foglight and another tool such as Omnibus or other tools and how they use with Foglight or if they withdrew these tools after having long Foglight.

  Foglight can be configured to monitor the applications where an out of the box cartridge (module) was not developed and delivered with the product. There are several ways to customize Foglight.

  Event command line injection

  Looks like you want to send alarms foglight via a command line program. It is feasible because there are available with Foglight APIs to create alarms.

  Syslog monitoring

  Foglight monitoring logs with the logfilter agent. You can set the strings that need to be searched (when a log file is updated by your applications), then specify the corresponding string (based on regular expressions) is a warning, critcal or a fatal alert.

  For monitoring of log files from the database, which is available with the cartridges of the database (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase) delivered with Foglight.

  SNMP traps

  Foglight can receive (out of the box) SNMP traps and convert them to Foglight alarms.

  
  

  E-mail

  I study further on this request. Basically, it takes an e-mail player that puts the emails in a log file that will read the Foglight LogFilter agent and search for error conditions.

  Automation of self-correction Foglight rules have actions that can be performed in the cases where the rule detects specific conditions as the processor high as a basic example and then run the scripts commands, scripts remotely, send SNMP traps, invoke a JavaEE trace, etc. A custom agent could be developed to run your heartbeat AutoSys and then search for an answer to a file or stdout and update a Foglight table that is being tested in a rule.

  I did an example step by step by Web BlackBerry Services for Enterprise Administration Getting Started Guide document, but there is an error "HTTP 401 response: unauthorized ' when communicating with https://MYSERVER:3443 / business/admin/ws", but the user can connect administration service console Web use blackberry, I use BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange 5.0.3 any solution?

  It seems that your username is badly encoded. I guess "MyServer" is the field? The field is only necessary if using Active Directory, using without would the 401, assuming that you have no BOTTOM user with the name "bwsadminmyserver". If you need help with the code for this problem, so thank you post the snippet where you set up your GetEncodedUsernameRequest object.

• EIM/WIM: Display opening hours

  We have installed just EIM/WIM and you try to check a situation where there is no agent available to meet the demand of the plant for a cat. When a customer clicks on the Chat button in a Web browser, he or she gets the following message appears:

  Thank you for your inquiry. Our opening hours are from 09:00 - 5 pm PST, Monday to Friday. If you are putting in the hours of service and always to get this message, please try after some time, as all our agents may be busy or not available at this time.

  Then we created a calendar with hours open from 01:00 to 23:00, but new customers receive the same message, that is the part of this message indicating the opening hours does not correspond the opening hours of the calendar. We restarted the EIM/WIM server but again no luck.

  What is the cause of it? How can we get around this problem?

  It is a static message (not a message of macro based) is why it continues to display the same message

  This can be changed in the model of cat (Department > Department > cat > models) in the Options-> tab off hours see you the EIM/WIM Administration Console User Guide (page 177-181). I think it should be the same for the v4.2 (x) and the v4.3 (1).

  August 2014 and I tried to implement NAS with the TCS.

  TCS (windows 2012 R2) - NAS

  Unfortunately, it failed.

  So, I have a question.

  1. How can I implement the same field of TCS and NAS without Windows file services, DNS Server service or Active Directory Domain Service (ADDS)?

  -Content server does not support Windows services running as the Active Directory domain
  Services (AD DS), DNS server or file services. You must configure an external server for all
  Windows-based services. (extracted from the guide)

  -The content server and the NAS must be in the same domain. (extracted from the guide)

  TC is not supported on R2 Windows 2012, unless you talk about your NAS running on 2012.  The operating systems supported for a TCS are:

  • first and second generation: Windows 2003
  • third generation and virtual: Windows 2008 R2 Standard

  If your organization has Active Directory, you must add the CHT and the NAS to your ad, just as you would for any other computer or server.  If your organization does not have AD, so you cannot use external storage without it, at least I've never heard of anyone trying.

  New to this, so I don't know what would be the best way to do this, but basically the goal is to broadcast videos of TCS to the users of the network internal as live audiences without security problems. Try to do this without an external broadcast service.

  It is the State that works very well for internal users, but is not available to public users because it's on a private network.

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  You will need to provide public access to your Cameras, you can consult the administration of CHT Guide for a list of ports. We have our TCS on a private network and have the lanes of traffic through the network load balancers that rely on the public network to provide all access public and private.

• TCS wrong password when adding from MSD

  I have a problem when adding the TCS on the MSDS. MSD does not accept the password. I used the same admin for the CHT password when you access the web interface.

  TMS uses the TCS API to communicate with the server, you must set a password for this account in the CHT under management > Configuration > Site settings.  See the administration of CHT Guide for detailed instructions, note this guide the administrator for version S7.0, but the configuration is the same for all versions of the TCS.

• Change the login Panel in workspace 11.1.2.3

  I need to change the opening session in the 11.1.2.3 workspace Panel. I tried the steps in the Administration Workspace (bpmui_admin) guide, but the logon panel had not been changed. Any suggessions?

• FDMEE - you are not allowed

  I'm setting up FDMEE for the first time and spin in questions at the beginning.  I set up some users as admins and provisioning of the admins in FDMEE through shared Services.  Whenever one of these users trying to get into the data management in the navigation menu, they get the error "you are not allowed to access this page."  I have no application to implement and that these users are supposed to be setting them up from scratch.  I am able to log in with the account by default, but only as this account.

  There are a number of essbase and planning applications that these users do not have access, as we have a dozen or more.  But apart from that they are put into service the same as the default of Directors.

  Is it possible that I have no location to assign users who they need to access each epm application available to access FDM?

  Thus, we have managed to get this figured out.

  I was commissioning the user to access full administrator for FDM.  Once I killed the access of the user to create integration only the user could access FDM.

  Our hypothesis is that there are parts of full administrator access that are related to specific applications of FDM.  At present we have no request for FDM so access causes the error.  By downgrading to create only the integration, we have removed all the specific security application.
