Hello

I want to join two tables on repositoty file (SPR), where the key to table1 is a substring of table2 key.

You know the syntax I should use?

Concerning

To do this, you must use a complex join and that the substring.

The syntax of the substring is SUBSTRING (> OF > FOR >).

    Thank you and best regards,

Keep "simple" things, you have a 64-bit Windows, just install a client of Essbase 64-bit...

Go to delivery under the "Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System" product packaging, download only the 'EPM system release 11.X.X.X.0 Client Installers' and there inside, you have the Essbase client (it's a bit silly that you need to download a file of 2 GB for just the small Essbase client, but this is the best place I found to always get a good record). Install it, then point the mailed earlier to the right path environment variable.

I did and it worked by himself in all my Windows 64-bit.

Use of the 32-bit clients on 64 bit OS what you always end with questions because of the default path pointing 64-bit slots and so things are missing or you have a mix of 64 and 32-bit.

(I guess that's not important if you choose 11.1.2.4, 11.1.2.2 or 11.1.2.3, they work I would say, but if I'm not mistaken the Essbase installed by OBIEE is more 11.1.2.2...) For you, it isn't. (2.4)

  • had c ++ runtime error when checking the consistency in administration tool

    Hi all

When I press ctrl + s or access the file menu-> check for overall consistency, I received a Microsoft C++ Runtime Library admin tool error.

I can save the repository, but when I choose check consistency, the administration tool pop up of this error and the process of the administration tool hangs up.

but, when I right click on a physical object, layer MDB or presentation, verification of the consistency right.

    any suggestions?

The "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error" may be due to a program or service that runs at startup. Perform the clean boot process to check what programs and services is causing this error at startup.

    Step 1: Clean boot

Step 2: Reinstall Visual C++ Runtime Libraries

For the most part, this kind of error can be caused by two factors:

    1. components Runtime Library Visual C++ are missing.

    2. software problem.

If the problem is caused by #1, you can reinstall Visual C++ Library Runtime components to solve the problem.

  • in the bi administration tool we need work offline only?

    Hello

    in obiee 11g

whenver a new table have to be imported in the bi administration tool, must it be done in offline mode only and must be deployment again by going to 'EM,
because I imported a table to a Pool of existing online connection, offline mode was not able to see these paintings?

I check out and check in the application to see these sector sbject, but when offline not able to see those?

    Thank you

I'm still using offline mode, since the Server 64-bit and 32-bit client admin-tool. When you use offline mode, save the changes in your repository, and go to the EM:
    -go in Business Intelligence-> coreapplication-> deployment-> repository
-Click on the lock and change the Configuration
-Search for a file in the repository
-give the deposit password twice and click on apply
    -Click Activate changes
    -Restart your system components

Changes should be now visible in analytics.

  • How to enable administrative tools that has mysteriously disabled?

    Original title: administrative tools

All items in administrative tools have mysteriously been disabled. How can I activate all? If all goes well, not one at a time! Y at - it a "Default Setting" routine, or I have to allow each element separately?

    Thank you

    Joe Killmann

    What does "disabled" for you?

Are mysteriously missing or mysteriously disabled administrative tools?

If you go into Control Panel, completely missing the Tools folder administration, or is there but empty?

What do you think has happened since the last time things worked correctly?

I find that Microsoft hired 'expert' technician support ideas that can help you from:

"Method 1", to avoid the administrative tools shortcuts in the Panel that you copy and paste.  Administration tools belong in the Administrative Tools folder - not in the control panel.

Regarding the "method 2", you don't describe symptoms compatible with a need to run sfc/scannow.

In addition, the System File Checker don't know or don't care shortcuts to administration tools (or indeed all the shortcuts) or whether they are enabled or not.  It's not what they did System File Checker, this isn't how it works and it's not what it is for.

It's just another committed Microsoft Support Engineer 'expert' wild goose chase.  Suggesting he looks like to say "I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it.

    But maybe you'll get lucky.

  • Error in mmcbase. DLL when opening administrative tools

I get the following error message when you try to start a number of administrative tools: -.

"The procedure entry point? PickIconDlg@@YGHPAUHWND__@@PAGIPAH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library mmcbase. "DLL"

Title of the message box is "mmc.exe - Entry Point not found".

What can I do to fix this?

I downloaded my SP3 mmc.exe on my SkyDrive and you can download it from this link:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.Office.live.com/Browse.aspx/.documents?UC=0&WA=wsignin1.0&SA=800701983

If there is a problem downloading, let me know because I'm not too sure about this thing of SkyDrive yet.  It appears, it will warn you about a risk when downloading executables, but you can trust me...

    You need to replace c:\windows\system32\mmc.exe

Make a copy of your current mmc.exe file somewhere a course, just in case you need to put it back.  If something went wrong with your SP3 update, you have still some other discoveries later.

It's no surprise that run sfc/scannow was no difference because sfc/scannow concerns only on files in this folder:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\Dllcache

Running sfc/scannow is a waste of time for system problems (unless you want to check your dllcache folder) as it will not update/replace any file (s) in another system folder (this is why I will never even move for the problems of the system).

    Let's see how it works.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • How can I remove the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and scanners and cameras my desktop icons?

Recently, I installed a trial version of Tune Up Utilities 2009. During one of the scans/tune-ups, he gave me the option to display the Administrative Tools, network connections, printers & Fax and Scanners & cameras icons on my desktop. I checked ok, however, now, I think it's too crowded in my office and you want to remove them... right on the desktop, not everywhere else they are located. I tried everything I know to remove them without success. Anyone knows where is the menu option to display on the desktop so I can uncheck or choose Delete? I don't want to have to change all the .ini files or .bat to because I'm afraid I don't do it correctly and create other problems.

  • My Administrative Tools folder is empty, what happened

I don't know when this happened. My computer is slow, so I was going to defragment, nothing in the folder.

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/137512-administrative-tools-restore-shortcuts.html

Disk Defragmenter is not in the Administrative Tools folder.

    http://www.pchelpforum.com/Windows-tutorials/106801-how-defragment-your-hard-drive-Windows-Vista-Windows-7-a.html

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Using the system restore option is most appropriate when your system is slow and you need to increase the free disk space on your C partition. If you have errors that could be solved by using the system restore to your system settings back to before the error occurred initially do not use this option.

If more than one person uses the computer and they have their own user log you need to run Disk Cleanup in each user profile that you want to delete all the unwanted files.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments.

cCleaner also comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.

  • 11.1.1.9 OBIEE administration tool

Hi I installed the last OBIEE on Linux server. How can I use to start administration tool to create a file of the RPD. I went through the documentation but not obvious. What I have to download the full 64-bit windows software and install the software alone or do I have an option?

It's what Christian: in the OBIEE front page 'Home' at the bottom left you have a list of links in the "BI Desktop Tools download" to download a few different clients, one of them is the 'Oracle BI Client Installer", this is the one you need.

Your linux installation already 'contains' the .exe to install the administration tool on a Windows System.

11.1.1.9 Admin tool is certified for Windows 7 and 8.1 and it works on a 64-bit of Windows Installer (you must set a parameter on the exe to run Windows 7 or the installer fails with an error: If you Google the error it tell you the parameter set as it looks like it ' has an error happening during the installation of many software on 64-bit Windows 8.1).

PS: the screenshot is SA406, 11.1.1.7, running, but it must be the same (and maybe some formulations) in 11.1.1.9.

    I had really any problems.

The client computer, installed 11.1.1.9 OBIEE administration tool.

An Essbase installed 11.1.2.4 customer, I installed this version as it corresponds to OBIEE 11.1.1.9 as who uses 11.1.2.4 drivers.

Update bi_init.bat to include the ESSBASEPATH variable and adds the path to the variable ESSBASEPATH\bin

Open the online administration tool, import

Tested the connection to two 11.1.2.3.506 and 11.1.2.4 Essbase

    Imported fine.
