  I have a few questions
  
  (1) I installed R12.1.1 and after installation, I started database listener, database layer and the application with the start-up of the scripts but adstrtal.sh came out with status 4 and some clues for dating status 150. How can I proceed with this failure. Can someone of you guide me
  (2) what is the location to see the log files of all the scripts I ran (the two databases and application tier) and what is the command I give to check the State of the application tier and the database level shell scripts.
  (3) my computer is a laptop. Is that whenever I close the machine, I need to stop the services starting with applications and database before I stop the machine.
  (4) I was able to browse the linux front-end applications but not XP when I browse the URL. How can I use the services of XP?

I use oracle apps R12 on RHEL 5.2 ACE. uptill now everything was fine, but as I try to clone my database and stop my level for cloning database, it is not upward since then.
  
  I run preclone utility to copy the database to the target computer layer, and after copying all levels (database and applications), I try to restart the database that gives me following error...

  So this weekend I cloned a new instance. Everything went correctly. No errors and all.
  But I have problem with the OPMN.
  
  Whenever I try to start the application or the OPMN (adstrtal.sh apps / < apps_pwd > - adopmnctl.sh start), I get the following error:
  -adopmnctl.sh: exit with status 2.
  
  Looking at the log file does not give much information alongside the same error code
  -adopmnctl.sh: exit with status 2.
  
  
  I looked at the perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier log file and there is no errors. Eventho not, at the end of the cfgclone, it starts applications. It seems that he failed during this phase too.
  
  
  Could someone make me notice to certain documents? It would be greatly appreciated.

  OK, this problem beautifully undescriptive I've seen caused by what seems to be dozens of things happening for me.

  I made the mistake of horrible update my FC8 kernel to the latest one (2.6.26.8 - 57.fc8).  Mind you, that's all that's changed.  It was with a 1.06 server with happiness and perfectly good computers running virtual in use before the upgrade.

  After the new kernel and reboot, I had to rebuild vmmod.  I had to get a fix of any - any later that I used with my previous kernel (116 does not solve the problem of compiling) so I used all-any117d.  Update like a champion.

  Try to turn on a VM and Ihanta!, the above error.

  Nothing else was changed.

  I tried the upgrade to VMware Server 1.08.  Used all-new any117d - update OK.

  Error again.

  I have re-run the compilation, this time to say 'yes' to what the installation script to "adjust the permissions of all virtual machines in xxxlist" or whatnot.

  Error again.

  I'm in the same boat.  Fedora 8 2.6.26.8 - 57.fc8 #1 SMP

  I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling v1.0.6 thru 1.0.8 with all 116 updates and 117d.   117D compiles with every version of server but when I try to turn on a virtual computer I get this error.

  I found several posts other people have this problem but

  they are months with no recent activity and nothing that solved the problem.  I found appeared

  to get a fix, one updated the all an update that corrects the problem for

  Please don't be crazy on me, but in my opinion, this is the wrong place for your question. The fact is that Toshiba doesn't support Windows 2003 server for mobile computing. If you have problems try again with Microsoft.
  As a manufacturer of operating system, they should be able to offer an explanation for each error message. Sorry, but I see no connection between the problems described and Toshiba as a hardware manufacturer.

• Can't do dmg file in the folder - "operation failed with status 1"

  I have a 1 TB hard that often went around. There are some personal files here although I am trying lock creating a DMG using disk utility and turning on encryption.   Can be a difficult problem to solve, and you indeed need a technical help in a real store of the computer
  (not the leeks and the glances at a BestBuy or other BigBox stores) or system manufacturer support.

  Cause

  This error occurs when a subsystem of mode user, such as WinLogon or the Client Server Run-Time Subsystem (CSRSS), irremediably compromised and security can not be guaranteed. In response, the operating system goes into kernel mode. Microsoft Windows cannot run without WinLogon or CSRSS. Therefore, it is one of the rare cases where the failure of a user mode service can stop the system.

  Incompatible system files can also cause this error. This can happen if you restored your hard disk from a backup. Some backup programs may skip restoring system files which they determine are in use.

  
  Solve the problem

  Run the kernel debugger is not useful in this situation because the error occurred in a user mode process.

  Resolve an error in the user-mode device driver or system, third-party application service: Because the bug 0xC000021A control occurs in a user mode process, the most common culprits are third-party applications. If the error occurred after the installation of the new or updated device driver or service system, third-party applications, the new software should be removed or disabled. Contact the manufacturer of the software on a possible update.

  If the error occurs during the system startup, restart your computer, and then press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system. In the Windows Advanced Options menu that results, select the last known good Configuration option. This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time. If the error is not resolved, try to manually remove the offending software. If the system partition is formatted with the (FAT) file allocation table, use a MS-DOS boot disk to access the hard disk of the computer. If the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or remove the defective software. If the defective software is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file. If a room newly installed if material is suspected, remove it to see if that fixes the problem.

  I think you should contact the manufacturer about this problem with the Bios...

  It is usually F2 or delete to enter the Bios / configuration at startup.

  I am trying to create a procedure to dynamically call DBMS_XMLINDEX.dropparameter.
  If the parameter doesn't exist no then gracefully exit with the exception as "the parameter does not exist.
  But I keep getting errors because of the dynamic passing.
  Procedure is something like:

  I am new to Oracle Apps and could successfully install R12 with the help of the tutorial to some < site >.
  
  After the installation, intended to take the system snapshot to restore because I won't go well again the installation which took almost 2 weeks for me :(
  
  System backup is not successful and recommended to run CHKDSK
  
  I have not stopped all treatment Apps and rebooted the machine to run CHKDSK. He finds some bad cluster and that fixed it.
  
  I started VMWare and R12. From that moment, get 'adopmnctl.sh out with status 2' and other dependent applications and on that same State during the d'apps/apps./adstrtal.sh command
  
  I found the solution in someother post fortunately located under the solution that worked for someone else. I don't have access to Metalink and want to have solutions in these notes to solve the problem on my machine.
