  I went through a lot of stages, misadventures, installs them, reinstall. But I finally solved my problems.

  The final installation resolved all the issues with the error: 6 / error: 5 / error: 150:30 and above all, the problem with Acrobat 9 Pro accepts only not my key. It was mostly with my original installation disk, since the beginning of time. I've been lucky (and persistent) enough in the past to get people help me tech workaround.   I don't know that I've mentioned before... but something else that could make a small difference, was that Java has been pre-installed by the third CS4 install. It was installed after the 2nd installation of CS4 and I don't take her away after having served all things Adobe (as described below).

  Because the printer is able to scan from HP and Microsoft paint software then the problem you are having is with the Adobe Acrobat 9 software. My first suggestion would be to uninstall the program and then reinstall it to see if the problem persists. If you still have the same problem, you need to contact Adobe technical support.
