I downloaded Adobe Acrobat DC and manually updated to the version

on a 64 bit Windows Server 2008R2

    Please provide the exact point of the software & OS installed on your system. Also check if it is there any update available for the software after crossing "" help > check updates "»

    Then open Acrobat, go to the Help menu and repair the installation.

    If the problem persists you try to run the cleanup tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs" would ask on your machine to remove all traces of the reader.

    Then, restart your machine and install the latest version of the player from here:

    If you use Adobe Reader, you will not be able to create a PDF file. Adobe Reader cannot create a PDF file, modify/edit the content of a PDF page or export the contents of a PDF page.

  • Windows XP does not start, no hard drive error

    I have windows XP installed on my hard drive of 160 GB WD Scorpio Blue PATA on a DELL Latitude D600. One day, I wake up and my laptop does not start. My computer starts up, leaves POST, but the hard drive does not start. He's right there. I try pressing the buttons but it starts a sound signal, so I have to turn it off. Normally, if there is no device that my computer can boot from it displays something along the lines, "no main boot device found. Press F1 to retry boot or F2 to enter the configuration utility. "but the screen does not show anything.
    I ran chkdisk and a number of other diagnostic tools on the hard drive, but nothing helped. I have Ubuntu on a USB key and with him, I can access the files on the hard drive - all files are intact, and I can read/write without problems. It just does not start.

    I ended up reinstalling everything and it works.

    Uninstall applications CC one by one and then after everything is gone, including the creative application of cloud, run the cc adobe cleaning tool. Then reinstall all.

    I'm subscribed to creative cloud Adobe for Adobe After effects. I did install it and when I try to open AE it gives me an error reading this: the application could not start correctly (0xc0000142). Now, I tried installing and reinstalling 3 times.  I am running Windows 10 on my PC. It's an HP with an AMD Athlon (TM) II x 4 820 processor 2.80 GHz 8.00 GB Ram and 64-bit operating system.     For some time now, I am unable to open the Adobe acrobat reader / PDF file.

    When I open it in windows task manager I can see there is a process running, but it remains like that.

    I have tried to uninstall, restart my pc and reinstall but it still won't start.

    I am running Windows 7 with all the important updates installed.

    Can anyone help please?

    Confirmed, reader opens fine after having closed the speedlauncher drive.

    CS6 problems.  Try to add an extension, Manager of tasks in Windows 7 does not show that ext manager is running and it is not visible on the desktop, but the program name appears in the list of processes.

    Problem with the application Manager too.  It does not work, message says 'failed to install.
